Burial was in the Highland Memorial Park in Paintsville.

Lora Marie Wells
1930-2017
Lora Marie Wells, age 86, Hagerhill, Ky., passed away Tuesday, June 20, 2017 at Cabell-Huntington Hospital in Huntington, W. Va.
Lora was born Oct. 20, 1930, daughter of the late Robert and Lillian Stapleton Burchett. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Leland Kermit Wells, and one sister, Elizabeth Josephine Hopson.
She is survived by one daughter, Linda Grim and husband, Elvie, of Paintsville, Ky.; two grandsons, Sammie Leland Hobson and Robert Lee Hobson and wife, Kimberly; step-grandson, Jason Todd Grim; four great-grandchildren, Maggie Hobson Misner and husband, Stuart, Leland Ethan Clark Hobson, Robert Blake Hobson and Connor Trent Hobson; three step-great-grandchildren, Chase, Zane, and Maddox Grim; and two-great-great-grandchildren, Mila Grace Hobson and Leland Combs Misner.
Funeral services were conducted 11 a.m. Friday, June 23, 2017 in the Jones-Preston Funeral Chapel with burial in the Family Cemetery, Fords Gap, Auxier, Ky.

Funeral services were held Monday, June 19, 1 p.m. at the Phelps & Son Funeral Home Chapel for Brenda Sue Stacy McKenzie, 69, of Red Bush, who passed away Friday, June 16 at her residence.
Burial was in the McKenzie Family cemetery at Red Bush.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday, June 21, 11 a.m. at the Jones-Preston Funeral Home Chapel for Homer Hale Jr., 79, of Grove City, Ohio, who passed away Friday, June 16 at Mt. Carmel West Hospital in Columbus, Ohio.
Burial will be in the Highland Memorial Park cemetery at Staffordsville.

Ivel (Barker) Conley
November 10, 1933 ~ June 7, 2017
Ivel Barker Conley, 83 of Springfield, Ohio, passed away June 7, 2017 in Good Shepherd Village. She was born in Johnson County on November 10, 1933, the daughter of Millard and Edith Barker. Ivel was a wonderful homemaker and cook. She also liked working in her flowers and garden. She enjoyed spoiling Denise, Andy, Ben and Baylee: they were her world. Ivel was a proud member of Beatty Free Will Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her parents; sister Marie Back; son-in-law, Roger “Skip” Vonderheide; five nephews and two nieces. Survivors include her husband Duelas Conley, whom she married
June 17, 1954; daughter Denise Vonderheide; sister Faye Baldwin; grandchildren Andrew and Benjamin Vonderheide; great-grandson Baylee; special nieces Wanda Estep and Linda Back.
Visitation will be Sunday from 2-5 p.m. in the Richards Raff & Dunbar Memorial Home. Services to honor Ivel will be Monday at 1:30 p.m. in the Memorial Home with Pastor Steve Wallace officiating. Lonnie Dunn III
1970-2017
Lonnie Dunn III, age 46, formerly of Paintsville, passed away Monday, June 5th, 2017 in Lexington, KY. He was born June 15th, 1970 in Johnson County. He was preceded in death by his mother, Janice Sue Daniel Dunn and his grandmother, Mabel Daniel. He is survived by his father Lonnie Dunn II (Edna Mae) Dunn of Paintsville; one sister, Dana (Keith) Ransdell of Lexington; along with one niece, Elie Ransdell; and one nephew, Will Ransdell.
Funeral services were conducted 11 a.m. Thursday, June 8, at the Jones-Preston Funeral Chapel with Anthony Castle officiating. Burial was in the Dunn Family Cemetery, Cow Creek, in Magoffin County.

Fred Norton Daniel Sr.
1952-2017
Funeral services will be held June 17, 11 a.m. at the Sitka Free Will Baptist Church for Fred Norton Daniel Sr., 64, of Thelma, who passed away Tuesday, June 13.
Burial will be in the Daniel cemetery in Paintsville.

Casey Jones
1958-2017
Casey Jones, 59, of Barbourville, passed away Saturday morning, July 29, 2017 at the Barbourville ARH Hospital. He was a son of the late Walton and Garnet Boyd Jones born on February 23, 1958 in Ashland.
Casey was an electrical superintendent with Barbourville Utilities and a member of the First Baptist Church of Barbourville, where he was active in AWANA and served as a bus driver. He was also a member of Masonic Lodge 187 F & AM and the Oleika Shrine Temple. Casey enjoyed fishing, cooking, was an avid UK and Reds fan and dearly loved spending time with his grandchildren.
On June 1, 1984, he united in marriage with Susan Smith.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Walter Jones, a brother-in-law, John A. VanHoose, a nephew, Lee A. Jones and his father-in-law, Calvin T. Smith.
Survivors include his loving wife, Susan Jones of Barbourville; three children, Walton Casey Jones and wife, Annie, of Paintsville, Nancy Hannah Asher and husband, Christopher, of London and Callie Elizabeth Martin and husband, Eric, of Barbourville; two sisters, Wilma VanHoose and Geraldine Ramey and husband, Gene, all of Ashland; five grandchildren, McKenzie Asher, Kaidence Martin, Paisley Martin, Charleston Ryker Martin and Aspyn Asher; his mother-in-law, Nancy Smith of Barbourville; several nieces and nephews; among other loved ones and dear friends.
His funeral service was conducted at the First Baptist Church of Barbourville Thursday, August 3 at 1 p.m. with Rev. Ralph Neal officiating. He was laid to rest in the Jones Family Cemetery.
Casket bearers were Shawn Smith, Sam Watts, Steve Smith, Brandon Mills, Charles Willis, Larry Smith, Adam Smith and Tommy Scalf. Honorary bearers were employees of Barbourville Utilities, Barbourville Fire Department, Bailey Switch Fire Department, Barbourville Police Department and all other city employees.
Arrangements are under the direction of the Knox Funeral Home.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, August 12 at the Phillips Funeral Home in Ironton, Ohio for Anthony Brian Conley, 38, of Kitts Hill, Ohio who passed away Wednesday, August 2.
Burial will follow in the Mamre cemetery in Kitts Hill.
