Burial was in the Johnson County Memorial cemetery at Staffordsville.

Funeral services will be held Friday, Oct. 7, 1 p.m. at the Jones-Preston Funeral Home Chapel for Stephanie Dawn Shepherd, 42, of David, who passed away Thursday, Sept. 29 in Downers Grove, Ill.
Mrs. Shepherd was born Nov. 3, 1973 in Floyd County, daughter of Joyce Billiter (Darren) Hensley of Riceville and Harold (Debbie) Meek of Martha.
Surviving in addition to her parents are her husband, Paul Douglas Shepherd of David; two daughters, Jette Taylor Burchett and Carly Lane Burchett, both of Prestonsburg; her maternal grandmother, Wilma Jo Meek of Boons Camp; one stepson, Luke Douglas Shepherd, and one stepdaughter, Hannah Grace Shepherd, both of Paintsville; two brothers, Benjamin Dalton (Kristie) Meek of Nippa, and Justin Lee Meek of West Van Lear; one step-brother, Damen (Kayla) Hensley of Paintsville; one sister, Samantha Jo Meek of Louisville; three nieces, Kaylee Marie Meek, Paige Collins, and Madison Meek; and one nephew, Jacob Meek.
Visitation will be Wednesday, Oct. 5, 6-9 p.m., Thursday, Oct. 6, 9 a.m.-9 p.m. and on Friday, 9 a.m. until time of service.
The service will be officiated by Malchom Slone, with burial to follow in the Highland Memorial Park cemetery at Staffordsville.
