Memorial services will be held Thursday, July 28, 5 p.m.-8 p.m. at the Ingram Funeral Home in Marysville, Ohio, for Art D. Salyer Sr., 70, of Woodstock, Ohio, who passed away Sunday, July 24.
Burial will be held at a later date.

Roger Burton
1943-2016
Roger Burton 73, of Wittensville died Thursday, Aug. 11, 2016 at the Pikeville Medical Center. Born to Emogene Puckett-Burton and the late Clifford Burton. He is survived by his wife: Debbie Preston-Burton of Wittensville; one daughter, Alyssa Dawn (Mike) Stewart of Pikeville; one granddaughter: Madison Kate Stewart; and a host of family and friends.
Mr. Burton was a member of the First Baptist Church of Paintsville; an alumnus of Paintsville High School; and also attended Morehead State University. Roger was a radio sports announcer for Burton Broadcasting, and was also on a talk show on WKLW with CK Belhasen as the “Moron Brothers”. Roger was the original sound technician for Jenny Wiley Theater; and a member of the Paintsville Auxiliary Police and Fire Department.
Roger was a man of many talents and was loved and will be missed by all who knew him.
Funeral services were held 2 p.m., Sunday, Aug. 14 in the Paintsville Funeral Home Chapel with Reverends McCoy Taylor and Ronnie Spriggs, Dr. Wayne Cornett officiating, with burial at the Highland Memorial Park cemetery at Staffordsville.

Douglas R. Pruitt
1946-2016
Douglas R. Pruitt, age 69, of North Middletown, passed away Friday, August 5, 2016.
He was born Oct. 5, 1946 in Bartley, W. Va., the son of the late Dewey and Ora Nellie Brooks Pruett. He was a coal miner, veteran, and an electric engineer. He was a member of the DAV and American Legion.
Surviving are his wife of 48 years, Beverly Mullins Pruitt of North Middletown; one daughter, Tabitha K. Pruitt-Mason of North Middletown one son, Douglas R. Pruitt Jr. of Johnson County; three grandsons, Tyler D. Pruitt of Morehead, Matthew N. Bowling of Van Lear, Kent W. Mason of North Middletown; two granddaughters, Courtney C. Pruitt of Paintsville, Roselyn “Rose” Mason of North Middletown; two great-grandsons, Noah T. Pruitt of Morehead, Brody N. Bowling of Van Lear; one great-granddaughter, Leah M. Pruitt of Morehead; siblings, Charles “Bud” Pruett of Chesterfield, Va., Richard “Dickie” Pruett of Princeton, W. Va., Nancy Church of Seminole, Fla., Sandra Allen and Barbara “Babs” Williams, both of Sanford, N.C.; and several nieces and nephews.
He was also preceded in death by his siblings, Lula “Petie” Pruett, Betty “Picky” McKee, Lois Bellomy, Dennis “Denny” Pruitt, James “Randy” Pruett, Juanita Pruett, unnamed baby boy.
Memorial services will be held Saturday, Aug. 20, 11-4, at 202 Main Street, North Middletown, KY 40357, at the home of his daughter, Tabitha K. Pruitt-Mason. His ashes will be buried in the Roselawn Memorial Gardens in Princeton, W. Va. with his wife’s ashes upon her death.

James Chandler
1921-2016
Funeral services were held Wednesday, Aug. 3, 11 a.m. at the Jones-Preston Funeral Home Chapel for James Chandler 94, of Springfield, Ohio, formerly of Lowmansville, who passed away Friday, July 29 at his residence.
Burial was at the Highland Memorial Park at Staffordsville.

John Patrick Ousley
1963-2016
John Ousley, age 53, of Martin, husband of Mary Plummer Ousley, passed away on Thursday, August 4, 2016 at his residence. He was born on May 29, 1963 in Martin, son of Loretta Frasure Ousley and the late Jason Ousley. He was a diesel mechanic.
Surviving in addtion to his wife, are four daughters, Ashley (Brent) Rowe, Dwale, KY, Audrea (Nicholas) Akers, Dana, KY, Allison Taylor, Paintsville, and Elizabeth Taylor, Berea; one brother; Sean (Stacey) Ousley of Martin; one sister; Clara Jean (Eddie) Hartgrove, Martin; and five grandchildren; Jacob Akers, Brooklynn Akers, Ava Grace Akers, Zoey and Lilli Meek.
Mr. Ousley was preceded in death by his Father.
Funeral service were conducted at 11 a.m. Saturday, August 6 in the Hall Funeral Home Chapel with Roy Penix officiating. Burial was in the Jason Ousley Family cemetery at Martin.

Delphine Little
1956-2016
Funeral services will be held Thursday, Aug. 18, 11 a.m. at the Beechwall United Baptist Church at Denver for Delphine Little, 60, of Marion, Ohio, who passed away Tuesday, Aug. 9 at Kindred Nursing Home and Rehabilitation of Marion.
She was born Feb. 14, 1956 in Findlay, Ohio, daughter of the late Junior Dyer and Sylvia Jean Spradlin Dyer. She was also preceded in death by her son, Michael Joe Dyer; grandparents, Kay and Alma Spradlin; brothers, Donnie Kay Dyer, David Dyer and Darrel Prendon Dyer.
Surviving are her daughter, Heather (Phillip) Steiger of Marion; her grandchildren, Alexis Steiger and Parker Hannah Ray Steiger; one sister, Darlene (Willie) Hill of Marion.
Visitation will be Wednesday, Aug. 17, 6-8 p.m.
The service will be officiated by Pastor Rutherford Blair.
Memorial contributions may be given in her memory to the Richland Road Church of Christ in Marion.

Geneva P. Hamilton
1932-2016
Funeral services were held Tuesday, Aug. 16, 1 p.m. at the Paintsville Funeral Home Chapel for Geneva P. Hamilton, 83, widow of Ford Hamilton, of Red Bush, passed away Friday, Aug. 12 at Baptist Health Hospital in Lexington.
She was born Nov. 8, 1932, daughter of the late Lonnie and Mrytie Blanton Ferguson of Morgan County. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Ford Hamilton, and one brother, Manford Ferguson of Indiana.
Surviving are three daughters, Carol VanHoose of Lexington, Becky (Ronnie) Fyffe and Betty (Wade) Castle, both of Flat Gap; four brothers, James (Estene) Ferguson and Charley (Thelma) Ferguson, both of Indiana, Kenneth (Sissy) Ferguson and Raymond Ferguson, both of West Liberty; three sisters, Emogene Ferguson of Hazel Green, Mary Manda (Marion) Lewis of Indiana, and Ethel Castle of Red Bush; seven grandchildren, six great-grandchildren; and a host of family and friends.
The service was officiated by Delbert Music, John Estep and Paul Preston, with burial in the Milt Williams cemetery at Red Bush.
Family requests in lieu of flowers donations be made to the Ronald McDonald House of Lexington or Point Pleasant Church in Flat Gap.

Gene Lawrence Herholz

Funeral services were held Monday, Aug. 15, 11 a.m. at the Caines Creek Free Will Baptist Church in Blaine, for Gene Lawrence Herholz, 76, of Blaine who passed away Friday, Aug. 12 at his residence.
Burial was in the Edwards cemetery at Blaine.
