Funeral services were held Wednesday, Aug. 3, 1 p.m. at the Jones-Preston Funeral Home Chapel for John Richard Hackworth, 73, of Riceville, who passed away Sunday, July 31 at his residence.
Mr. Hackworth was born Aug. 29, 1942 in Johnson County, son of the late Dewey and Fannie Mae Dotson Hackworth. He was also preceded in death by one sister, Willadean Hackworth.
Surviving are his wife, Karen VanHoose Hackworth; one son, John D. Hackworth (fiancée Paula Conley) of Riceville; one daughter, Lisa Ann (John) Deskins of Staffordsville; two brothers, Roger Hackworth of Delaware, Ohio, and Ronnie (Christine) Hackworth of Riceville; six sisters, Bonnie Williams of Greenrock, Betty (James) Caudill of Plymouth, Ohio, Avanelle (William) Fitzgerald of Dayton, Ohio, Laura Salyers of Columbus, Ohio, Christine (Chester) Caudill of Upper Sandusky, Ohio, and Gwen (Danny) Webb of Knoxville, Tenn.; three grandchildren, Jonathan Corey Hackworth, Megan (Nathan) VanHoose, Carli Jo Deskins; and one great-grandchild, Nathan Rhyder VanHoose.
The service was officiated by Joe Scott and Danny Ward, with burial in the Highland Memorial Park cemetery at Staffordsville.

Shane Douglas Auxier
1993-2016
Funeral services were held Sunday, July 31, 11 a.m. at the Johnson Central High School Gymnasium for Shane Douglas Auxier, 23, who passed away Wednesday, July 27 at Pikeville Medical Center.
Mr. Auxier was a graduate of Johnson Central High School and was employed by Auxier Tree Service. He was preceded in death by one son, Brayden Bentley Auxier.
Surviving are his parents, Charles Shane Auxier and Hermalee Perkins Auxier of Whitehouse; his fiancée, Shelby Curtis; one daughter, Carlee Jayde Auxier; one brother, Charles Bradley Auxier of Hager Hill; and one sister, Kelsie Shaylee Auxier of Whitehouse.
The service was officiated by Steve Hazelett and Doug Auxier, with burial in the Auxier Family cemetery at Whitehouse.
In lieu of flowers, the family has asked that contributions be made to the Phelps & Son Funeral Home to help with the funeral expenses.

Brian Quinn Morrison
1969-2016
Memorial services were held Monday, Aug. 1, 1 p.m. at the Jones-Preston Funeral Home Chapel for Brian Quinn Morrison, 47, of West Van Lear, who passed away Friday, July 29 at his residence.
He is survived by his father, Robert Regan Morrison and his mother, Mariam Spears Morrison of West Van Lear; one son, Bryan Wesley Morrison of East Point; one brother, Ronald Glenn Morrison of Richmond, Va.
He was preceded in death by one sister, Debra Lynn Johnson.
The service was officiated by Aaron Davis.

Frankie J. McKenzie
1936-2016
Frankie J. McKenzie, 80, of Louisa, passed away Friday, July 20 at the Community Hospice Care Center in Ashland.
Mr. McKenzie was born April 3, 1936, son of the late Dora McKenzie and Cassteria Salyer McKenzie.
Surviving are his wife, Barbara Lyerly-McKenzie; three sons, Allen McKenzie of Bristol, Tenn., Rodney McKenzie of Louisa and Emerson McKenzie of Fort Gay, W. Va.; two daughters, Connie Brewer of Louisa and Rhonda Sieg of Chandler, Ariz.; five sisters, Gaye Griffith of South Bloomfield, Ohio, Suzie Holstein of Pompano Beach, Fla., Garnett Skaggs of Martha, and Bonnie Sturgill of Zelda and Sharon McKenzie of Louisa; 11 grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.
Funeral services were held Sunday, July 24, 11 a.m. at the Paintsville Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Eulas Adams and Chris Rowland officiating. Burial was in the Patty Flat cemetery at Fuget.

Lydia Lenora Williams Stickel
1935-2016
Lydia Leonora Williams Stickel of Orlando, Fla., passed away on Tuesday July 5, at the age of 81. She was preceded in death by her husband, William C. Stickel of Concord Massachusetts in 1995.
She was born on March 1, 1935 in Ashland, and was the first born of Duell and Esther Dorton Williams. She was raised in Red Bush, and moved to Miami, Florida in the early 1960’s where she met her husband. They moved to Orlando in 1985.
She received her nursing degree from Morehead University and worked in a variety of settings as an RN for more than 50 years. She retired from the Orlando Clinic after many years and continued to volunteer at a local hospital. She was a member of the Windermere Union Church.
She is survived by her siblings, Carolyn (Carroll) Burchett, and Marilyn (Paul) Preston both of Red Bush; her daughters Amy Marcos of Miami Fla. Sally Darlin of Winter Springs, Fla., and Paula Westcott of Ocoee, Fla.; also, sons, Jeff Stickel of Springfield, Va., and Mark Stickel of Red Bush. She is also survived by 12 grandchildren and one great- granddaughter.
Wayne Douglas Caudill
1932-2016
Funeral services will be held Friday, July 29, 1 p.m. at the Paintsville Church of God for Wayne Douglas Caudill, 84, of Paintsville, who passed away Wednesday, July 27 at Paul B. Hall Regional Medical Center in Paintsville.
Burial will be in the Lakeview Memorial cemetery at Staffordsville.

Misty Green
Misty Green, 37, of Paducah passed away at 2:34 pm on Saturday, July 23, 2016 at Lourdes Hospital in Paducah.
She graduated Johnson Central High School in Paintsville in 1997. In 2002 she obtained a Bachelors degree from University of Louisville in Health Sciences - Cytotechnology. She worked for Baptist Hospital of Paducah and Lourdes Hospital in Paducah. She attended St. Francis de Sales Catholic Church and enjoyed her motorcycle, “Shelby”.
She is survived by her husband, Christopher Barrett Green, of Paducah; her parents, Misty Wells Powers of Johnson County and Eddie Stickler of Prestonsburg; two sons, Conrad and Luke Green; grandmother, Betty Stickler of Drift; sister in law, Andi Deaton and husband Keith of Indianapolis, Ind.; parents-in-law, Richard and Patricia Green of Arlington; uncle, Tim Wells and wife Glenda of Ala.; special friend Dwight Stambaugh of Nashville, Tenn.; and special aunts and uncles, Glen and Kay Powers, Steve and Patti Powers, Judy and Conrad Froehlich, Milton Powers, and James and Rachel Powers.
She was preceded in death by her father, Kenneth Powers; grandparents, Howard Stickler, Patty Wells; and aunt, Peggy Sturgill.
Funeral Service will be held at 10am Wednesday, July 27, 2016 at St. Francis de Sales Catholic Church with Rev. Bruce McCarty officiating. Burial will follow at St. Denis cemetery in Hickman County.

Douglas ‘Mickey’ Titlow
1942-2016
Graveside services will be held Saturday, July 30, 11 a.m. at the Highland Memorial Park cemetery for Douglas “Mickey” Titlow, 74, of Paintsville, who passed away Wednesday, July 27 at Highlands Regional Medical Center in Prestonsburg.
Mr. Titlow was born Feb. 8, 1942 in Johnson County, son of the late William B. and Anna Robinson Titlow. He was a road foreman and a heavy equipment operator.
He is survived by his wife, Esther Richmond Titlow; two sons, Wil (Melissa) Titlow and Mike (Prissy) Titlow; two brothers, Billy and Richard Titlow; and four grandchildren, William, Jacob, Kaley and Morgan.
The service will be officiated by Ryan Skaggs.
