John Patrick Ousley
1963-2016
John Ousley, age 53, of Martin, husband of Mary Plummer Ousley, passed away on Thursday, August 4, 2016 at his residence. He was born on May 29, 1963 in Martin, son of Loretta Frasure Ousley and the late Jason Ousley. He was a diesel mechanic.
Surviving in addtion to his wife, are four daughters, Ashley (Brent) Rowe, Dwale, KY, Audrea (Nicholas) Akers, Dana, KY, Allison Taylor, Paintsville, and Elizabeth Taylor, Berea; one brother; Sean (Stacey) Ousley of Martin; one sister; Clara Jean (Eddie) Hartgrove, Martin; and five grandchildren; Jacob Akers, Brooklynn Akers, Ava Grace Akers, Zoey and Lilli Meek.
Mr. Ousley was preceded in death by his Father.
Funeral service were conducted at 11 a.m. Saturday, August 6 in the Hall Funeral Home Chapel with Roy Penix officiating. Burial was in the Jason Ousley Family cemetery at Martin.

Funeral services were held Thursday, Aug. 11, 11 a.m. at the Jones-Preston Funeral Home Chapel for Alta Cornett Mullins, 87, of Paintsville, who passed away Monday, Aug. 8 at Pikeville Medical Center.
Burial was in the Highland Memorial Park cemetery at Staffordsville.

Arnold Lee Blair
1939-2016
Funeral services will be held Friday, Aug. 12, 11 a.m. at the Phelps & Son Funeral Home Chapel for Arnold Lee Blair, 77, of Oil Springs, who passed away Tuesday, Aug. 9 at Paul B. Hall Regional Medical Center in Paintsville.
Mr. Blair was born Jan. 5, 1939 in Johnson County, son of the late Ervin and Mildred Rice Blair. He was also preceded in death by four brothers, Lloyd Thomas Blair, Mervil Blair, Leon Blair and Elzie Blair; and one sister, Eleanor Fairchild.
Surviving are three brothers, Kenneth Blair of Oil Springs, Larry Blair of Sitka and Wendell Blair of Catlettsburg; one sister, Carolyn Sue Chitwood of Ashland; and several nieces and nephews.
The service will be officiated by Randy Haney, with burial to follow in the Highland Memorial Park cemetery at Staffordsville.

Bobby G. Picklesimer Sr.
1930-2016
Bobby G. Picklesimer Sr., 85, of Milford Center, Ohio, died Sunday evening, August 7th, 2016 at his home surrounded by his loving family.
He was retired and former owner of Picklesimer’s Garage in Milford Center. He also worked for Bob Chapman Ford in Plain City for 10 years. After an 8 year stint in the United States Air Force, he left the service as a Staff Sergeant and had served during the Korean War, and held memberships with the VFW Post #3320, American Post #79, and the Air Force Association. He loved vacationing, for many years, at their home in Myrtle Beach with his family and grandchildren enjoying the sun and sand and riding his golf cart on the beach “exercising.”
Bob was born August 24, 1930 in Johnson County, to the late Charles Wayne and Fanny Hitchcock Picklesimer. He was also preceded in death by a son, Charles “Chuck” Picklesimer; brothers Otis, Willard “Odell” and Phillip Picklesimer; and a son-in-law Philip Harbold.
He married
the former Deloris Marlene “Tootie” Williams on September 17, 1955 in Auxier. He is survived by his loving and devoted wife of 60 years, Tootie; their children Mary Lou Harbold, Bobby G. (Stephanie) Picklesimer Jr., Cindy A. (Randy) Thomas, all of Milford Center, Ohio; grandchildren Matt (Ashley) Harbold, Christy Picklesimer, Niki (Zach) Eickhoff, Ben (Amber) Harbold, Bobby Gene (Anne) Picklesimer III, Rachel (Aaron) Haynes; 12 great grandchildren; siblings Phyllis Roberts of Irwin, Charles A. (Patsy) Picklesimer of Palm Beach Gardens, FL, Mary (Steve) White of Springfield, Ohio, Frances (Audney) Combs of Milford Center, Nina Fairchild and Karl W. (Margaret) Picklesimer of Marysville, Ohio; a sister-in-law Georgia Picklesimer of Milford Center; many nieces, nephews and longtime friends.
Funeral services were held 11 a. m. Thursday, Aug. 11, with the Rev. Ed Beeson officiating. Burial was at the Milford Center Cemetery, where the Union County Honor Guard provided full military honors.
Pallbearers were Karl Picklesimer, Matt Harbold, Zach Eickhoff, Ben Harbold, Bobby Gene Picklesimer III, and Aaron Haynes.
In Bob’s memory, contributions may be made to the Union County Cancer Society or The ViaQuest Foundation in care of the funeral home.

Gladys Blanton
1945-2016
Funeral services were held Tuesday, Aug. 2, 11 a.m. at the Phelps & Son Funeral Home Chapel for Gladys Blanton, 71, of Paintsville, who passed away Saturday, July 30 at Riverview Health Care Center in Prestonsburg.
Mrs. Blanton was born May 4, 1945 in Johnson County, she was the eighth child of Cecil Castle and Rhoda Blanton. She was also preceded in death by one son, Richard Blanton.
Surviving are her husband, Jerry Smith; one son, Jerry Blanton of Paintsville; one daughter, Sandi (Tom) Capshaw of Louisville; and three grandchildren, Christopher Blanton, Bryan Joyner, and Jerica Griffey.
The service was officiated by Wayne T. Eads, with burial in the Gethsemane Gardens in Prestonsburg.
