Funeral services were held Sunday, July 3, 2 p.m. at the Jones-Preston Funeral Home Chapel for Aloma Faye Ratliff, 73, of Hager Hill, who passed away Friday, July 1 at Jewish Hospital in Louisville.
Mrs. Ratliff was born April 24, 1943 in Lookout, daughter of the late Ermal Earl Mullins and Agatha Faye Lakins Mullins. Aloma was a retired schoolteacher with the Pike County Schools system. She was also preceded in death by one brother, Fredrick Mullins.
Surviving are her husband of 55 years, Jack Edwin Ratliff, whom she married
on Jan. 21, 1961. To this union was born one daughter, Angela Denise Ratliff Coleman and husband, Dr. Greg Coleman of Paintsville; and one grandson, Andrew Dewayne Coleman of Richmond.
The service was officiated by Clarence Lemaster, with burial in the Johnson Memorial Park cemetery in Pikeville.

William Cecil Castle
1932-2016
Funeral services will be held Friday, July 8, 1 p.m. at the Jones-Preston Funeral Home Chapel for William Cecil Castle, 84, of Whippoorwill Road, Nippa, who passed away Wednesday, July 6 at Highlands Regional Medical Center in Prestonsburg.
Mr. Castle was born Jan. 15, 1932 in Johnson County.
Surviving are his wife, Dorothy Preston Castle; one son, William Leon (Toni) Castle of Nippa; one daughter, Gwendolyn Castle of Cincinnati, Ohio; one brother, Dencil Castle of River; one sister, Elizabeth Centers of Thealka; four grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
The service will be officiated by Todd Webb and Arthur Todd Scarberry, with burial in the Arthur Preston Cemetery, Wiley Branch Road at River.
A Masonic service was conducted at Chandlersville Masonic Lodge #858 at Lowmansville.

Funeral services were held Thursday, July 7, 1 p.m. at the Paintsville Funeral Home Chapel for Billie A. Sisco, 73, of Flat Gap, passed away Monday, July 4 at her residence.
Burial was in the Patrick Family cemetery at Meally.

Funeral services were held Sunday, June 19, 1 p.m. at the Phelps & Son Funeral Home Chapel for Fredrick Fitchpatrick Jr., 53, of Van Lear, who passed away Wednesday, June 15 at his residence.
Mr. Fitchpatrick was born Feb. 21, 1964 in Johnson County, son the Martha Lene Fitchpatrick of Van Lear and the late Junior Fitchpatrick.
Surviving in addition to his mother are two sons, Jonathan Walter Fitchpatrick and Joshua David Fitchpatrick, both of Flat Gap; two brothers, Robert (Martha) Fitchpatrick of Thealka, and Jamie (Stacy) Fitchpatrick of Prestonsburg; his fiancée, Sabrina Jones; many aunts, uncles, nephews, cousins, a great niece and two great-nephews.
The service was officiated by Paul Keaton, with burial in the Fitchpatrick Family cemetery at Van Lear.

James Franklin Blair
1925-2016
Funeral services will be held Wednesday, June 29, 1 p.m. at the Magoffin County Funeral Home Chapel for James Franklin Blair, 91, of Paintsville, formerly of Waverly, Ohio, who passed away Sunday, June 26 at Mountain Manor Nursing Home in Paintsville.
Mr. Blair was born Feb. 15, 1925 in Catlettsburg, son of the late Dennis D. and Mary Ellen Hensley Blair. He was a sheet metal worker, a U. S. Navy veteran, and a member of the Church of Christ in Waverly. He was also preceded in death by his wife, Mabel Owens Blair; one brother, Dennis Blair; and three sisters, Ann Brewer, Margaret Marzian and Linda Beeman.
Surviving are his sister-in-law, Iris Blair, and a host of nieces and nephews.
Military rites will be given by Salyersville D. A. V. Chapter 15 on the day of the service.
The service will be officiated by J. R. Owens, with burial to follow in the Owens Family cemetery at Lick Creek.
