Mrs. Collins was born March 28, 1926, at Raven, to the late Otis and Bell Jones Gibson. She was a member of Caney Fork Regular Baptist Church.
Surviving are her husband, Raymond Collins; one son, Phillip Ray Collins of Hager Hill; one daughter, Copa Lee Hansford of Wayland; three brothers, Berman Gibson of Bedford, Warren Gibson of Louisville and Denzil Gibson of Sturgis; and two grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

Preston Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements for Ray Collins Jr., 24, who died Monday, November 1, at Cabell Huntington Hospital, Huntington, West Virginia.
Mr. Collins was born May 13, 1975, in Lexington, to Ray Collins and the late Kathy Wells Collins. He was self-employed.
Surviving are his father; and one brother, Brandon Collins of Inez.
Joe L. Cantrell

Joe L. Cantrell, 60, of Marion, died Wednesday, October 6, at his residence.
Mr. Cantrell was born November 10, 1938, at Oil Springs, to the late Bryan and Ruie Blanton Cantrell. A resident of Marion for 33 years, he was employed in maintenance at the Rotary Towers. He was a former member of American Legion Post 584, worked on cars and did woodworking.
He was also preceded in death by a brother, Paul Cantrell; and a sister, Wyonna Cantrell.
Surviving are his wife, Mabel A. Borders Cantrell, whom he married April 4, 1964, at Falcon; one son, Tim M. (Amy L.) Cantrell of Marion; three brothers, Claude T., Rodney and Donald Cantrell, all of Kentucky; four sisters, Lou Conley, Loretta Russell, Flossie Wheeler and Cheryl Collinsworth, all of Kentucky; two grandchildren, Adam M. and Lindsey M. Cantrell, both of Marion; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Rufus Smallwood

Preston Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements for Rufus Smallwood, 76, who died Monday, November 8, at Mountain Manor Nursing Home.
Mr. Smallwood was born September 23, 1923, in Pike County, to the late Louis and Rhilda Farmer Smallwood. He was a mechanic.
Surviving are his wife, Esta Maynard Smallwood; one son, Donald Smallwood of Ashville, Ohio; one daughter, Kathy Evans of Wittensville; one sister, Maggie Conger of Pennsylvania; and two grandchildren and one step-grandchild.
Elizabeth Delong

Funeral services will be held today, Friday, November 12, for Elizabeth Delong, 98, who died Monday, November 8, at Ohio Pythian Sister Home, Medina, Ohio.
Mrs. Delong was born January 17, 1901, in Johnson County, to the late John C. and Etta Mae Hite Mollett.
She was also preceded in death by her husband, Emery Delong, in 1983; and a daughter, Audrey Page.
Surviving are two sons, Arvel Delong of Keaton and Oliver Delong of Clarksville, Tennessee; one daughter, Ida A. Fyffe of Medina; two sisters, Julia Miller and Swana Penix, both of Paintsville; and nine grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren.
Nora Baldridge

Sitka resident Nora Baldridge, 89, died Sunday, November 7, at Paul B. Hall Regional Medical Center.
Mrs. Baldridge was born November 25, 1909, in Johnson County, to the late James and Katherine Honeycutt Salmons. She was a beautician.
She was also preceded in death by her husband, Clarence Baldridge, in June 1981.
Surviving are one son, Rev. Carl Bryan Baldridge of Alexandria; two daughters, Bonnie Adams of Sitka and Betty Janice Berry of Lebanon, Tennessee; and 10 grandchildren, 20 great-grandchildren and 10 great-great-grandchildren.
Margaret Holden

Margaret Sue Holden, 64, of Prestonsburg, formerly of Apple Valley, California, died Tuesday, November 9, at her residence.
Mrs. Holden was born December 25, 1934, at Endicott, to the late Clayton and Edith Daniels Burchett. She was co-owner of a liquor and convenience store in Apple Valley and was a member of St. Martha Catholic Church, Prestonsburg.
She was also preceded in death by her husband, David Holden.
Surviving are one sister, Dorothy Harris of Prestonsburg; and one brother, H.C. (Sonny) Burchett Jr. of Milledgeville, Georgia.
Elliott Culwell

Retired miner Elliott Culwell, 87, died Wednesday, November 10, at Paul B. Hall Regional Medical Center.
Mr. Culwell was born August 3, 1912, in Johnson County, to the late Dennis and Exir Davis Culwell.
He was also preceded in death by his wife, Mary Lou Culwell, on October 31, 1998; one son, James Larry Culwell; one daughter, Carolyn Castle; three brothers, Hobart, Walker Lee and Freddie; and two sisters, Ruby Tackett and Marie Green.
Surviving are four sons, Frank, Rick and Leon Culwell, all of Nippa, and Randall Culwell of Wabash, Indiana; four daughters, Connie Fitch of Meally, Alice June VanHoose of Lowmansville, Rita VanHoose of Mt. Sterling and Nancy Brown of Urbana, Ohio; five brothers, Andrew Culwell of Plain City, Ohio, L.T. Culwell of Marion, Ohio, Eddie Culwell of Florida, Georgie Culwell of Waverly, Ohio, and Riley Culwell of Mechanicsburg, Ohio; two sisters, Ethel McKenzie of Chandlersville and Neval Lemasters of Columbus, Ohio; and 15 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.
Clyde Castle Jr.

Funeral services were held Monday, November 15, for Clyde Castle Jr., 75, who died November 12 at Mountain Manor Nursing Home.
Mr. Castle was born May 23, 1924, in Lawrence County, to the late Clyde Sr. and Maggie Borders Castle. He was a retired welder/mechanic from Island Creek Coal Company, member of the Thealka Freewill Baptist Church and veteran of World War II.
He was also preceded in death by his wife, Hazel Castle.
Surviving are one son, Donald Castle of West Van Lear; two daughters, Carrue Gibson of East Point and Phyllis Runyon of Mount Sterling; one sister, Phyllis Chandler of Thealka; and five grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

Mr. Mullins was born June 14, 1950, in Ethel, West Virginia, to Eliza Music Mullins and the late Roma Mullins.
Surviving are his mother; two brothers, James Mullins of Tomahawk and Larry Mullins of Defiance; and four sisters, Sherlene Castle of River, Ruby Castle and Linda Lero, both of Defiance, and Helen Smith of Grundy, West Virginia.
Richard Daniel

River resident Richard "Bus" Daniel, 91, died Friday, November 5, at his residence.
Mr. Daniel was born March 11, 1908, in Johnson County, to the late Henry Asbury and Rebecca Octavia Blevins Daniel. He was a track laborer for C & O Railway.
Surviving are his wife, Dorothy Daniel; two sons, Henry and Gary Daniel, both of River; two daughters, Venice Chandler of Tutor Key and Octavia Hall of Raceland; one sister, Sadie Mary Walters of Ashland; and 13 grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
