Marion F. ‘Bud’ Ward
1940-2015
Funeral services were held Tuesday, Aug. 25, 1 p.m. at the Jones-Preston Funeral Home Chapel for Marion F. “Bud” Ward, 74, who passed away Saturday, Aug. 22 at Paul B. Hall Medical Center in Paintsville.
Mr. Ward was born Sept. 29, 1940 in Johnson County, son of the late Marion and Bessie Adams Ward. He was a heavy equipment operator.
Surviving are two sons, Darrell Ward of Nashville, Tenn., and James Ward of Bowling Green; one daughter, Ada Darlene Ward Woods of Bowling Green; one sister, Darlene Ward Wills of Gold Canyon, Az.; four grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
The service was officiated by Larry Blair, with burial in the Ward Family cemetery at Van Lear.

Okie Jewell Stambaugh

Funeral services will be held Saturday, Aug. 29, 11 a.m. at the Paintsville Funeral Home Chapel for Okie Jewell Stambaugh, 81, who passed away Saturday, Aug. 22 at the Salyersville Nursing Home in Salyersville.
Burial will be in the Stambaugh Family cemetery at Sitka.

Burial in the W. R. Castle Memorial cemetery at Nippa.

Charles ‘Goose Eye’ Williams
1932-2015
Charles “Goose Eye” Williams passed away peacefully, Saturday, Aug. 15, 2015 at his home in Delaware, Ohio, surrounded by his family.
Charles was born on April 29, 1932 to the late Walter and Ethel Caudill Williams of Staffordsville.
Also he was preceded in death by his wife, Mary Meade Williams; daughter, Mary Ethel Williams; and his sister, Thelma Williams Kling of Pennsylvania.
He is survived by his wife, Alka Bayes Williams; step-daughter, Denise Baker; and step-son, David Daniels, all of Delaware, Ohio. He is also survived by his daughter, Dessie Williams Cantrell; and son, Charles Williams Jr., both of Oil Springs.
Others left to mourn are grandchildren, Joey Blanton Jr. of Louisville; Valerie Blanton of Oil Springs, Ashley Barnett of Salyersville, and Tyler and Angie Williams of Booneville. In addition to children and grandchildren; brothers, Elden Williams and Donald Williams, both of Staffordsville, David Williams of Paintsville, and Walter Williams of Nippa; one sister, Glenna Trimble of Staffordsville; and a host of nieces, nephews, and friends that will miss him greatly.
Christy Patrice McDonald Adams
1969-2016
Services will be held Saturday, Jan. 30, 2 p.m. at the First Baptist Church Barbourville for Christy Patrice “Patti” McDonald Adams, 47, widow of Billy Ray Adams Jr., of Barbourville, who passed away Monday Jan. 25.

Clifton ‘Cliff’ Wilcox
1931-2016
Funeral services will be conducted Saturday, Jan. 30, 2 p.m. at the Jones-Preston Funeral Home Chapel for Clifton “Cliff” Wilcox, 84, of West Van Lear, who passed away Tuesday, Jan. 26 at his residence.
Burial will follow in the Highland Memorial Park cemetery at Staffordsville.

Emma Jean Music
1935-2016
Funeral services will be held Saturday, Jan. 30, 1 p.m. at the Tom’s Creek Free Will Baptist Church for Emma Jean Music, 80, of Paintsville, who passed away Tuesday, Jan. 26 at Paul B. Hall Regional Medical Center in Paintsville.
Mrs. Music was born Dec. 2, 1935 in Johnson County, daughter of the late Sam Ramey and Ann Lee Sadler Ramey. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Billy D. Music (2012); one son, Donnie Music; one brother, Howard Ramey; one sister, Mary Lee Burchett; one sister-in-law, Eileen Ramey; and two brothers-in-law, Kenny Salyer and Bill Burchett.
Surviving are two daughters, Teresa (Don) McFaddin of Nippa, and Susie (Greg) Colburn of Grove City, Ohio; one brother, Johnny (Cheryl) Ramey of Nippa, Two sisters, Sue Salyer and Cynthia (Walt) Williams of Nippa; three grandchildren, Amanda Cox, Kayla Hensley and Alex Music; and two great-grandchildren, Harper and Graham.
Emma Jean previously worked as an Office Manager at Big Sandy Hardware and a faithful member of Tom’s Creek Free Will Baptist Church.
The service will be officiated by James Kelly Caudill, with burial to follow in the Sadler cemetery at Nippa.
Friends may visit the Phelps & Son Funeral Home Friday, Jan. 29, 9 a.m.-9 p.m. and after 12 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 30 at the church.

Burial will follow in the Davidson Memorial Gardens at Ivel.
