Funeral services were held Sunday, April 26, 2 p.m. at the Mayo United Methodist Church for Robert M. Conley, 95, of Paintsville, who passed away Friday, April 24 at his residence.
Mr. Conley was born April 24, 1920 in Paintsville, son of the late Heber C. and Julia Hazelette Conley. He was a bank manager, and a U. S. WWII Army veteran. He was also preceded in death by his wife, Barbara A. Conley.
Surviving are one daughter, Brenda Conley Ronigen of Sarasota, Fla.; and one sister, Bonnie Sue Sherman of Paintsville.
The service was officiated by Dr. John Hatton and the Rev. Robert Coppings, with burial in the Mayo cemetery in Paintsville.

William C. ‘Charlie’ Pennington
1944-2015
Funeral services will be held Wednesday, April 29, 1 p.m. at the Porter-Tidd Funeral Home in Mount Sterling, Ohio, for William C. “Charlie” Pennington, 70, of Washington Court House, Ohio, who passed away Saturday, April 25, at the Chillicothe VA Medical Center.
Mr. Pennington was born Dec. 8, 1944 in Morgan County, son of the late Ronald and Delia Fyffe Pennington. He was a U. S. Vietnam War veteran. He was also preceded in death by three brothers, Ronnie, Bronard, and Eudell Pennington, and three infant brothers; one sister, Nova Pennington; one sister-in-law, Anna Lou Pennington; and an infant nephew, Ryan Penrod.
Surviving are one brother, Jimmy (Peggy) Pennington of Paintsville; two sisters, Bert (Autie) Ison of Columbus, Ohio, and Judy (Dean) Penrod of Washington Court House.
The Circleville Amvets Post #2256 will perform a military service.
The service will be officiated by Rev. Charles Smith and Rev. Dan Justice, with burial to follow in the Springlawn cemetery at Williamsport.

Ronald Matthew King
1994-2015
Funeral services will be held Saturday, April 25, 2 p.m. at the Meally Free Will Baptist Church, for Ronald Matthew King, 21, of Flat Gap, who passed away Tuesday, April 21.
Mr. King was born April 15, 1994 in Johnson County, son of Matthew and Melissa Lemaster King of Staffordsville. He was a bow builder with Hunter’s Friend. He was also preceded in death by his paternal grandfather, Lowell King, his maternal grandparents, Ronald and Pauline Lemaster, and his great-grandfather, Calvin George Blevins.
Surviving in addition to his parents are, two brothers, Nathan and Aaron King, both of Staffordsville; one half-brother, Michael King of Staffordsville; one half-sister, Kristie Houston of Blaine; paternal grandmother, Dottie Oralee King of Staffordsville; paternal great-grandmother, Loretta Blevins of Staffordsville.
Visitation will be at the church all day Friday, April 24, and until time of service on Saturday, April 25.
The service will be officiated by Wesley Music, with burial to follow in the King-Blanton cemetery at Staffordsville.

Ben S. Smith
1939-2015
Funeral services were held Sunday, April 19, 2 p.m. at the Jones-Preston Funeral Home Chapel for Ben S. Smith, 75, of East Point, who passed away Wednesday, April 15 at his residence.
Mr. Smith was born Oct. 14, 1939 in Johnson County, son of the late James Albert and Margaret Laney Smith. He was a construction worker. He was also preceded in death by his wife, Norma Jean Johnson Smith; three brothers, George Smith, Bill Smith and John Smith; and three sisters, Alifira Castle, Marie Tackett, and May Laney.
Surviving are one daughter, Kim (David) Williams of East Point; one sister, Ruth Reed of Nippa; two grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
The service was officiated by Aaron Davis and Larry Smith, with burial in the Highland Memorial Park cemetery at Staffordsville.

Danny Wayne Warrix
1965-2015
Funeral services were held Tuesday, April 21, 11 a.m. at the Phelps & Son Funeral Home Chapel for Danny Wayne Warrix, 50, of East Point, who passed away Friday, April 17 at his residence.
Mr. Warrix was born Jan. 22, 1968 in Johnson County, son of Lula B. Music Warrix of East Point, and the late Theodore Warrix.
Surviving in addition to his mother, are one son, Maxwell Warrix of East Point; one brother, Kenny Warrix of East Point; and one grandchild.
Burial was in the family cemetery at East Point.

Dessie Irene May Spencer
1927-2015
Funeral services will be held Wednesday, April 22, 1 p.m. at the Jones-Preston Funeral Home Chapel for Dessie Irene May Spencer, 87, of East Point, who passed away Monday, April 20 at Paul B. Hall Regional Medical Center in Paintsville.
Mrs. Spencer was born Nov. 2, 1927 in Johnson County, daughter of the late Willie Paris and Leona Pearl Caudill May. She was a homemaker. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Bruce Spencer.
Surviving are one son, Sid Clifford (Freda) Spencer of East Point; two daughters, Edith Jewell Blevins of East Point, and Freda Dephane Spencer Goble of Hager Hill; eight grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.
The service will be officiated by Bobby Joe Spencer, Bill Campbell and Clarence Lemaster, with burial to follow in the Spencer Family cemetery at East Point.

Norma Tackett Isaac

Funeral services were held Tuesday, April 21, 11 a.m. at the Auxier Free Will Baptist Church at Auxier, for Norma Tackett Isaac, 73, of of Hager Hill, who passed away Saturday, April 18 at King’s Daughters Medical Center in Ashland.
Mrs. Isaac was born Jan. 10, 1942 in Floyd County, daughter of the late Lawrence and Minnie Johnson Tackett. She was a bookkeeper. She was also preceded in death by one brother, Ronnie Tackett; and one sister, Annalene Ballew.
Surviving are her husband, Conard Isaac; two daughters, Karen (Michael) Thompson of North Carolina, and Tammy (Roger) Russell of Paintsville; one brother, Donald Tackett of Waynesville, Ohio; two sisters, Lavonna (James) Stanley of Cleveland, Ohio, and Brenda (Mont) Slone of Ohio; four grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
The service was officiated by Bobby Joe Spencer, with burial in the Highland Memorial Park cemetery at Staffordsville.

Martha Coleman
1951-2015
Funeral services were held Monday, April 20, 11 a.m. at the Paintsville Funeral Home Chapel for Martha Coleman, 64, of Van Lear, who passed away Thursday, April 16 at the University of Toledo Ohio Medical Center in Toledo, Ohio.
Mrs. Coleman was born Feb. 13, 1951 in Van Lear, daughter of the late Marvin and Margaret Hatfield Fannin. She was a homemaker. She was also preceded in death by infant daughter, Michelle Perry; and two brothers, Wayne and Marvin Jr. Fannin.
Surviving are one daughter, Audra (Robert) Daniels of Van Lear; one son, Michael (Rhonda) Perry of Wittensville; seven brothers, Randle, Curt, Ben, Scott, Kenneth, Bryan and Roger Fannin; one sister, Dorothy Hayden; five grandchildren; and Mickey Perry of Erie, Mich.
Burial will be in the Fannin cemetery in Van Lear.
