Funeral services will be held Wednesday, March 4, 1 p.m. at the Pigeon Enterprise Church for Maggie Owens, 81, of Oil Springs, who passed away Sunday, March 1 at Martin County Nursing Home.
Mrs. Owens was born May 15, 1933 at Sand Lick, daughter of the late John Red and Annie Cantrell Gambill. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Walter Owens.
Surviving are three sons, Billy Joe Owens and James Mitchell Owens, both of Oil Springs, and Danny Phillip Owens of Meally; two daughters, Sandra Owens Mullins of Harold, and Judy Faye Owens Mollett of Kermit, W. Va.; three brothers, Ronnie Gambill of Sand Lick, and James Gambill and Elmer Gambill, both of Piqua, Ohio; five sisters, Pearl Gambill of Piqua, Hearl Gambill of Decauter, Ind., Vonnie Gambill of Crockett, Gladys Keaton and Lola Smith, both of Smith Creek; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
The service will be officiated by Delbert Music and Bruce A. Davis, with burial to follow in the Owens Family cemetery at Oil Springs.

Mary Ruth Caudill
1933-2015
Funeral services will be held Thursday, March 5, 1 p.m. at the Paintsville Funeral Home Chapel for Mary Ruth Caudill, 81, of Denver, who passed away Sunday, March 1 at Riverview Health Care Center in Prestonsburg.
Mrs. Caudill was born Nov. 23, 1933 in Floyd County, daughter of the late Orville and Minnie Goble Sturgill. She was a sales clerk for Hobb’s Dept. Store in Paintsville, and a member of the West Van Lear Missionary Baptist Church.
Surviving are her husband, Paul Caudill of Denver; one son, Christopher (Trena) Caudill of Denver; four sisters, Jessie Castle and Ladine Sturgill, both of West Van Lear, Elizabeth Huth of Wooster, Ohio, and Melva Chambers of West Warbick, R. I.; and one granddaughter.
Visitation will be held Wednesday, March 4, 5-9 p.m. and Thursday, March 5, from 9 a.m. until time of service.
The service will be officiated by Garmon Preece, with burial in the Caudill Family cemetery at Denver.

Wendell K. Rowland
1941-2015
Funeral services were held Friday, Feb. 27, 11 a.m. at the Paintsville Funeral Home Chapel for Wendell K. Rowland, 73, of Stanwood, Mich., formerly of Red Bush, who passed away Monday, Feb. 23.
Mr. Rowland was born Oct. 10, 1941 at Red Bush, son of the late Eckell P. and Virginia Woods Rowland. He was also preceded in death by his wife, Phyllis Rowland.
Surviving are three sons, Darren (Wendy) Rowland of Flat Fork, Mich., Doyle Rowland of Stanwood, Mich. and Teddy (Pebbles) Rowland of Carlton, Mich.; two daughters. Dolly (Les) Lucas of Paris, Mich. and Connie Rowland of Redford, Mich; two brothers, Michael Rowland of Stanwood, and Sammy Rowland of Texas; two sisters, Anna Zezalee Keeton of Louisa and Mary May (Everett) McCoy of Louisville; 16 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren.
The service was officiated by the Rev. Matthew Rowland, with burial in the Keeton Family cemetery at West Liberty.

Foster C. Skaggs
1921-2015
Funeral services were held Tuesday, Feb. 24, 2 p.m. at the Paintsville Funeral Home Chapel for Foster C. Skaggs, 93, of Lexington, who passed away Tuesday, Feb. 17 at St. Joseph Hospital East in Lexington.
Mr. Skaggs was born August 14, 1921 in Terryville, son of the late Isaac and Louisa Ferguson Skaggs. He was a welder and a WWII Army veteran.
Surviving are his wife, Willadene B. Skaggs; two brothers, William Luther Skaggs of Plymouth, Ind., and Herman Skaggs of Flat Gap; and one sister, Esta Faye Kelly of Martha.
The service was officiated by Elders Arthur “Tiny” Breeding, C. J. Murray, Tim Porter and Joe Carroll, with burial in the Highland Memorial Park cemetery at Staffordsville.

Delsie King
1925-2015
Funeral services will be held Sunday, March 1, 1 p.m. at the Christian Union Baptist Church for Delsie King, 89, of Keaton, who passed away Wednesday, Feb. 25 at her residence.
Mrs. King was born Sept. 8, 1925 at Moon, daughter of the late Therman and Ethel Johnson Keaton. She was a member of the Christian Union Baptist Church and had been a Terry Office Supply salesperson. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Delos H. King.
Surviving are three daughters, Norma Cantrell of Red Bush, Janie Cordle of Blaine, and Doris Adkins of Flat Gap; two brothers, Elbert Keeton and Homer Keeton, both of Keaton; one sister, Willadene Short of Flat Gap; six grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
Visitation will Friday, Feb. 27, 5-9 p.m., Saturday, Feb. 28, 5-9 p.m at the Preston Funeral Home, and 10 a.m. until time of service at the church.
The service will be officiated by Tim Salyers, Paul Castle, and Talmadge Cantrell, with burial to follow in the Keaton Family cemetery at Keaton.
Jackie Darrell Tackett
1956-2015
Funeral services will be held Friday, Feb. 27, 1 p.m. at the Jones-Preston Funeral Home Chapel for Jackie Darrell Tackett, 58, of Hazard, who passed away Friday, Feb. 20 at Hazard ARH.
Mr. Tackett was born July 20, 1956 in Johnson County. He was a restaurant worker, and a U. S. Army veteran. He was also preceded in death by his mother, Dorothy Jane Tackett Osborne; and his brother, Gaillen Wayne Tackett.
Public visitation will be 11 a.m., Friday, Feb. 27 until time of service.
The service will be officiated by Ronnie Spriggs, with burial to follow in the Highland Memorial Park cemetery at Staffordsville.

Mildred Centers
1927-2015
Funeral services were held Sunday, Feb. 22, 1 p.m. at the Paintsville Funeral Home Chapel for Mildred Centers, 87, of Hager Hill, who passed away Friday, Feb. 20 at Paul B. Hall Regional Medical Center in Paintsville.
Mrs. Centers was born Sept. 5, 1927 at Staffordsville, daughter of the late Ed and Tallie Ratliff. She was a retail salesclerk. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Den Centers.
Surviving are one daughter, Kathy Trimble of Barnetts Creek; one son, Mike Centers of Somerset; one sister, Pearl Conley of Paris; four grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
The service was officiated by the Rev. Wendell Ison, with burial in the Centers Family cemetery at Hager Hill.

Monie Juanita Stapleton
1940-2015
Graveside services will be held Saturday, Feb. 28, 12:30 p.m. at the Stapleton cemetery at Flat Gap for Monie Juanita Stapleton, 74, of Flat Gap, who passed away Thursday, Feb. 26 at Mountain Manor Nursing Facility in Paintsville.
Ms. Stapleton was born Oct. 6, 1940 at Flat Gap, daughter of the late Homer and Margie Slone Stapleton. She had been a clerk at R. H. Hobbs.
Visitation will be Saturday, 10 a.m. at the funeral home until time of service.
The service will be officiated by John G. Pelphrey.
