Funeral services were held Saturday, Dec. 27, 11 a.m. at the Carey First Free Will Baptist Church in Carey, Ohio, for Melba J. Blair, 79, of Carey, who passed away Monday, Dec. 22 at Wyandot County Skilled Nursing & Rehabilitation Center in Upper Sandusky, Ohio.
Mrs. Blair was born May 10, 1935 in Johnson County, daughter of the late Estill and Anna “Marie” May Blair. She was a homemaker; a 1954 Oil Springs High School graduate; and a member of the Carey First Free Will Baptist Church. She was also preceded in death by two sisters, Wanda Jean Blair and Anna L. Webb; and one brother, Joe E. Blair.
Surviving are her husband, James H. Blair of Carey; two sons, Dennis J. Roark of Carey and James. H. (Deb) Blair II of Oregon, Ohio; one daughter, Tamara S. (Dan) Hunter of Carey; two sisters, Mary (Jesse) Stevens of Kosse, Texas and V. Sue (Donny) Wentling of Carey; one brother, Charles “Leo” Blair of Carey; seven grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
The service was officiated by the Revs. Sid Ramey and Bill Mahan, with burial in the Spring Grove cemetery in Carey.

Arietta Branham
1929-2014
Funeral services were held Monday, Dec. 29, 1 p.m. at the Preston Funeral Home Chapel for Arietta Branham, 85, of Boons Camp, who passed away Friday, Dec. 26 at her residence.
Mrs. Branham was born Feb. 23, 1929 at Williamsport, daughter of the late Clyde Lewis and Elizabeth Evans Lewis Crum. She had been a cook for the Johnson County School system. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Jeff Branham Jr.
Surviving are three sons, Ronald Keith Branham of North Manchester, Ind., Larry Ray Branham of Coatsville, Ind., and Terry Branham of Boons Camp; one brother, Paul Ray Lewis of Wabash, Ind.; four grandchildren and several great-grandchildren.
The service was officiated by Jim Price, with burial in the Branham cemetery at Boons Camp.

Angie Ellen Keel
1942-2015
Funeral services will be held Saturday, Feb. 7, 11 a.m. at the Preston Funeral Home Chapel for Angie Ellen Keel, 72, of Paintsville, who passed away Wednesday, Feb. 4 at Paul B. Hall Regional Medical Center in Paintsville.
Ms. Keel was born May 10, 1942 in Prestonsburg, daughter of the late Hubert Rowland and Goldie Fitch Rowland Lemaster. She was a retired nurse with Highlands Regional Medical Center, and a member of the House of Refuge.
Surviving are three daughters, Teresa Stambaugh of Lake City, Fla., Tommigene Tackett of Paintsville, and Kelly Carter of Prestonsburg; three brothers, Larry Lemaster of Wilmore, John Lemaster of Paintsville, and David Lemaster of Martin; seven grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be Friday, Feb. 6, 6-9 p.m.
The service will be officiated by Doris Blevins, with burial in the Highland Memorial cemetery at Staffordsville.

Henry Lewis Mayo Jr.
1929-2015
Funeral services will be held Sunday, Feb. 8, 3 p.m. at the First United Methodist Church in Prestonsburg, for Henry Lewis Mayo Jr., 85, of Hager Hill, who passed away Thursday, Feb. 5 in Richmond.
Mr. Mayo was born Nov. 24, 1929 in Prestonsburg, son of the late Henry Lewis and Maude Salisbury Mayo. He was a self-employed entrepreneur-banker; a member of the First United Methodist Church; charter member of the Prestonsburg Rotary Club/present member Paintsville Rotary. He was also preceded in death by one brother, Jimmy Mayo.
Surviving are one son, Jason (Paige) Mayo of Richmond; three daughters, Kathy (Mitch) Kinner of Staffordsville, Debby (Steve) Long of Old Hickory, and Jeanne O’Bryan of Paintsville; one sister, Ruth Lucille M. Goebel of Prestonsburg; and four grandchildren.
The service will be officiated by the Rev. Jerri Williams, with burial in the Mayo Family cemetery at Prestonsburg.

Herbert Blevins Jr.
1965-2015
Funeral services will be held Friday, Feb. 6, 1 p.m. at the Preston Funeral Home Chapel for Herbert Blevins Jr., 49, of Paintsville, who passed away Wednesday, Feb. 4 in Columbus, Ohio.
Mr. Blevins was born March 14, 1965 in Paintsville, son of Herbert Blevins Sr. and the late Elizabeth Whitt Blevins. He was employed by Shannon Reclaiming Co.
Surviving in addition to his father are his wife, Emma Smith Blevins of Paintsville; three sons, Herbert Blevins III, Jason Ray Blevins, and Johnathon Fairchilds, all of Paintsville; four daughters, Jennifer Blevins and Emma Lee Blevins, both of Salyersville, Michelle Blevins of Paintsville, and Brittany Blevins of Louisiana; one brother, Ernest Blevins of Offutt; and two sisters, Teresa Daniel of Hager Hill, and Patricia Ferguson of Keaton.
The service will be officiated by Hedgel Golden, with burial to follow in the Old Friendship Memorial Gardens at Williamsport.

Imogene Robinson Osborne
1930-2015
Funeral services will be held Saturday, Feb. 7, 11 a.m. at the First Free Will Baptist Church in Paintsville, for Imogene Robinson Osborne, 84, of Lady Lake, Fla., formerly of Paintsville.
Mrs. Osborne was born May 10, 1930 in Johnson County, daughter of the late John Walter and Rosa Alice Collins Robinson. She was a former account clerk with Johnson County Board of Education. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Freeman Osborne; one brother, John Robinson Jr.; and four sisters, Bertha Lee Williams, Anna Louise Meadows, Edna Mae VanHoose, and Irene R. Patrick.
Surviving are two sons, William Anthony Osborne of Plano, Texas, and Tracy Walter Osborne of Lady Lake; one daughter, Tami (Jerry) Rice of Oil Springs; and three grandchildren.
Visitation will be 2 - 9 p.m. Friday, Feb. 6 at the Jones-Preston Funeral Home and 9 a.m. until time of service at the church on Saturday.
The service will be officiated by Larry Blair, Ethan Rice and Bryce Osborne, with burial to follow in the Mayo cemetery in Paintsville.

Wanda McCarty
1940-2015
Funeral services were held Wednesday, Feb. 4, 11 a.m. at the Paintsville Funeral Home Chapel for Wanda McCarty, 74, of Oil Springs, who passed away Sunday, Feb. 1 at McAuley Center Nursing Home in Urbana, Ohio.
Mrs. McCarty was born June 23, 1940, in Meally, daughter of the late Robert and Vina Spriggs Williams. She was a homemaker.
Surviving are her husband, Joe McCarty of Oil Springs; one son, Mark Anthony McCarty of Ann Arbor, Mich.; one daughter, Barbara Plaisance of Houston, Texas; three sisters, Shelby Muncie of Enon, Ohio, Betty Powers of Springfield, Ohio, and Terri Joan Williams of Meally; and two grandchildren.
The service was officiated by the Revs. Roger Hill and Ronnie Spriggs, with burial in the McCarty cemetery at Oil Springs.

Gladys Castle
1922-2015
Funeral services will be held Friday, Feb. 6, 12 p.m. at the Jones-Preston Funeral Home Chapel for Gladys Castle, 93, of Paintsville, who passed away Saturday, Jan. 31 at Highlands Regional Medical Center in Prestonsburg.
Mrs. Castle was born Jan. 25, 1922 in Johnson County, daughter of the late Ashland and Rose Hampton Adams. She was a homemaker. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Richard Castle; two sons, William Richard and Herman Eugene Castle; five sisters, Blanche Bowens, Dora Adams, Emma Adams Stapleton, Edna Adams Castle, and Alice Adams Lyons; five brothers, Thurman Jack Adams, Herman Adams, two still born and one infant.
Surviving are one daughter, Barbara (Larry) Sublett of Kennesaw, Ga.; four grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.
The service will be officiated by Ronnie Spriggs, with burial to follow in the Lakeview Memorial cemetery at Staffordsville.
