Memorial services will be held at a later date for Lucille Maynard Ginther, 84, of Paintsville, who passed away Thursday, October, 11 at Mountain Manor Nursing Home in Paintsville.
Mrs. Ginther was born Jan. 15, 1928 in Mingo County, W. Va., daughter of the late Erva and Ora Jude Maynard. She was a homemaker. She was also preceded in death by one son, Johnny White.
Surviving are one son, Ervin Ginter of Flat Gap; two daughters, Orie Jackson of Flat Gap, and Ada Caudill of Auxier; two brothers, Silas Maynard of Georgia and Luther Maynard of Richmond; several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren.

Willa Stambaugh Kuhns
Willa Stambaugh Kuhns, of Boone, North Carolina, died Saturday, October 12, 2012 at Deerfield Ridge Assisted Living in Boone.
She was a native of Paintsville, and former resident of Athens, Tenn. She was a daughter of the late William and Agnes Preston Stambaugh and was also preceded in death by her husband Dale A. Kuhns (August 16, 2007 who was the Minister of the Athens Christian Church at the time of his death); and brothers, George, Gerald and Arthur Stambaugh.
She was a member of the Athens Christian Church.
She is survived by two daughters and sons-in-law, Vanessa (Dr. Marc) Clark of Blowing Rock, N.C., and Andrea (Steven) Mangold of Montpelier, Ohio; three granddaughters, Kristen Wallace, Lori Line, and Sarah Bistline; one grandson, Aaron Mangold; two sisters, Janie Horne of Ashland, and Sara Conley of Wilmington, Ohio; and two brothers, Roger Stambaugh of Goshen, Ind., and David Stambaugh of Murfreesboro, Tenn.
A graveside service was conducted 11:30 am, Tuesday, Oct. 16, in McMinn Memory Gardens with Minister Darrin Long officiating.
Pallbearers were Steven Mangold, Roger Stambaugh, Dr. Marc Clark, Ben Wallace, David Stambaugh and Nathan Line.
The family suggests memorials to the Athens Christian Church, 802 Matlock Avenue, Athens, TN 37303.

Lesa G. Bell Dye

Funeral services were held Wednesday, Jan. 16, 10 a.m. at the Redpath-Fruth Funeral Home in Warsaw, Ind. for Lesa G. Bell Dye, 51, of Warsaw, who passed away Sunday, Jan. 13 at Mason Health and Rehab in Warsaw.
Ms. Dye was born Oct. 27, 1961 in Warsaw, daughter of the late Anna Beatrice Bell. She was a member of the Warsaw Worship Center and had worked for Monaco Coach.
Surviving are two daughters, Andrea Rangel and Bridget Dye, both of Warsaw; three brothers, Jr. (Gwinn) Bell of Atwood, Ind., George Bailey of Pierceton, Ind., and Oliver (Tiny) Crum of Paintsville; two sisters, Debbie (John) Henley and Brenda (David) Daniels, both of Bowling Green; and three grandchildren.
The service was officiated by Pastor William Whitaker, Bob Brown and Glenn Hughes, burial in the Oakwood cemetery at Warsaw.

Mary Louise Swiney Ratcliff
1957-2013
Funeral services were held Thursday, Jan. 17, 2 p.m. at the Bailey Funeral Home Chapel for Mary Louise Swiney Ratcliff, 55 of Thelma, who passed away Monday, Jan. 14 at Bristol Regional Medical Center.
Mrs. Ratcliff was born May 28, 1957 in Pike County, daughter of the late Lester and Lakie Damron Swiney. She was also preceded in death by one son, Ryan Thomas; two brothers, Bob and Jim Swiney; and one sister, Joy Swiney.
Surviving are her husband, Gary Lee Ratcliff of Thelma; one step-son, Gary Michael Ratcliff of Martin; one daughter, Jennifer Burton of Broadhead; two sisters, Marie Maynard of Hager Hill, and Judy Borders of Cynthiana; one brother, Eddie Swiney of Breaks, Va.; and one grandchild.
The service was officiated by Harry Neal Frisby, with burial in the Swiney Family cemetery at Elkhorn City.

Barbara Meeks
1935-2013
Funeral services were held Monday, Jan. 14, 1 p.m. at the Phelps & Son Funeral Home Chapel for Barbara Meeks, 77, of Staffordsville, who passed away Friday, Jan. 11 at Highlands Regional Medical Center in Prestonsburg.
Mrs. Meeks was born Dec. 14, 1935 in Johnson County, daughter of the late Dennis and Almira Salyers Blevins.
Surviving are two sons, Ballard Meeks Jr. and Gilbert Ray Martin, both of Staffordsville; two daughters, Barbara Sparks of Flat Gap, and Sherry Ratliff of Sitka; one sister, Betty Jo Kimbler of Staffordsville; nine grandchildren, several great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.
The service was officiated by Ray Pennington, with burial in the Blevins cemetery at Staffordsville.

Carlis Marie Ward Butcher

Funeral services will be held Thursday, Jan. 17, 2:30 p.m. at the East Point Church of Christ for Carlis Marie Ward Butcher, 93, of East Point, who passed away Monday, Jan. 14 at her residence.
Mrs. Butcher was born Dec. 8, 1919 in Floyd County, daughter of the late Oliver and Agnes Setser Ward. She was a retired school teacher. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Lewis Butcher; two brothers, Raymond and Quentin Ward; and one sister, Wanetta Setser.
Surviving are one son, Alfred Butcher of Van Lear; three daughters, Emma (Jim) Ward of East Point, Brenda (James) Frazier of Flat Gap, and Ollie (Vernon) Maddix of Huntsville, Ala.; four grandchildren, four great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.
The service will be officiated by Aaron Davis, with burial to follow in the Highland Memorial Park at Staffordsville.

Funeral services were held Monday, Jan. 14, 2 p.m. at the Thealka Free Will Baptist Church for Della Mae Mullins Napier, 86, of Thealka, who passed away Thursday, Jan. 10 at Paul B. Hall Regional Medical Center in Paintsville.
Mrs. Napier was born Sept. 10, 1927 in Pike County, daughter of the late Billy B. and Nancy Robinson Mullins. She was a homemaker. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Ervin Napier; two sons, Truman and Ernest Napier; and two brothers, John Henry Mullins and Robert Reed.
Surviving are two sons, Minifee Napier of West Van Lear, and Ervin Napier Jr. of Thealka; four daughters, Rosa King of Nippa, Nancy Sue Drymon of Wittensville, Mary M. Mollett of Boonscamp, and Ella Mae Harmon of Thealka; one brother, David Mullins of Richmond, Va.; one sister, Elsie Music of Staffordsville; and several grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.
The service was officiated by Gary Blair and Tommy Meade, with burial in the Johnson County Memorial cemetery at Staffordsville.

Dorlene Wells Lockwood

Funeral services were held Monday, Jan. 14, Jones-Preston Funeral Home Chapel for Dorlene Wells Lockwood, 79, of Paintsville, who passed away Thursday, Jan. 10, her residence.
Mrs. Lockwood was born Aug. 8, 1933 in Lawrence County, daughter of the late Charles and Hazel Daniels Wells. She was a bank teller with the Bank of Ashland. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Paul “Pook” Lockwood; and one sister, Josephine Farley.
Surviving are two daughters, Madonna Sue (Danny) Wells of Paintsville, and Paula (Kevin) Cotton of Harrodsburg; one brother, Arnold Wells of Paintsville; two grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
The service was officiated by Wesley Stedtefeld, with burial in the Kavanaugh Church cemetery at Kavanaugh.
