Funeral services were held Monday, Sept. 10, 11 a.m. at the Paintsville Funeral Home Chapel for Mary Elaine Travis Hayes, 52, of Williamsport, who passed away Friday, Sept. 7 at Paul B. Hall Regional Medical Center in Paintsville.
Mrs. Hayes was born June 27, 1960 in Paintsville, daughter of Ray (Gwydna) Travis of Hager Hill, and the late Morris Elaine Hayes Travis. She was a former employee of Job Corps.
Surviving in addition to her father are two brothers, Vencil Travis of Paintsville, and Shannon Travis of Winchester; and one sister, Sharon Travis Castle of Thelma.
The service was officiated by the Rev. Larry O’Bryan, with burial in the Lakeview Memorial cemetery at Staffordsville.

Patricia Ann Patterson
1935-2012
Funeral services were held Saturday, Sept. 8, 11 a.m. at the Preston Funeral Home Chapel for Patricia Ann Patterson, 77, of East Point, who passed away Thursday, Sept. 6.
Mrs. Patterson was born June 2, 1935 in Williamson, W. Va., daughter of the late Mose and Emma Mabe Adkins. She was self employed. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Walter Patterson.
Surviving are two sons, Jimmy Bevins of Pikeville, and Joe Bevins of Pinson Fork; two daughters, Janice Trador and Robyn Warrix, both of East Point; one sister, Deborah Wiles of Columbus, Ohio; one step-brother, Bill Mabe of Little Rock, Ark.; six grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
The service was officiated by Wendell Isom, with burial in the Sunset cemetery at Galloway, Ohio.

Connie Maynard Caudill
1947-2012
Funeral services will be held Thursday, Sept. 13, 11 a.m. at the Phelps & Son Funeral Home Chapel for Connie Sue Maynard Caudill, 64, of Sitka, who passed away Monday, Sept. 10 at her residence.
Mrs. Caudill was born Oct. 24, 1947 in Floyd County, daughter of the late Roger Morrison and Dorothy Maynard.
Surviving are her husband, James Caudill of Sitka; one son, Mike Caudill of Sitka; and one sister, Bernetta Fitch of Louisa.
The service will be officiated by Darren Rice, with burial in the Salyer Family cemetery at Flat Gap.

George Daniel Nickerson
1930-2012
Graveside services will be held Thursday, Sept. 13, 11 a.m. at the Price cemetery at Oil Springs, for George Daniel Nickerson, 82, of Hickory N. C., who passed away Friday, Sept. 7 at Frye Hospital in Hickory.
Mr. Nickerson was born July 9, 1930 in Bangor, Ma., son of the late Verne Orcutt and Annie Frances Call Nickerson. He was a veteran of the Korean Conflict; and a retired Central Telephone Co. engineer.
Surviving are his wife, Roberta Price Nickerson; one son, George Daniel (Marnie) Nickerson Jr. of Matthews, N. C.; one daughter, Paul Nickerson Huffman of Martinsville, Va.; two brothers-in-law; three sisters -in-law; and four grandchildren.
The service will be officiated by Jason Price.

Ren F. Pennington
1938-2012
Funeral services will be held Wednesday, Sept. 12, 11 a.m. at the Jones-Preston Funeral Home Chapel for Ren F. Pennington, 74, of Flat Gap, who passed away Monday, Sept. 10 at his residence.
Mr. Pennington was born April 5, 1938 in Morgan County, son of the late Walker and Marvie Young Pennington. He was a farmer.
He was also preceded in death by his first wife, Willa Dean Lemaster Pennington, and his second wife, Lois Salyer Pennington; and one daughter, Brenda Sharen Barnett.
Surviving are three step-sons, Greg (Melonie) Cantrell of Red Bush, and Keith and Paul (Trena) Cantrell, both of Flat Gap; one daughter, Renetta (Ted) Daniels of Tutor Key, one step-daughter, Linda (Bobby) Holbrook of West Van Lear; one sister, Susie Fyffe of Baltimore, Md.; eight grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
The service will be officiated by Ray Pennington and Pastor Ron Bruno, with burial in the Salyer cemetery at Red Bush.

Edith Faye Goble Click

Funeral services will be held Saturday, Sept. 8, 11 a.m. at the Tom’s Creek Free Will Baptist Church at Ivel, for Edith Faye Goble Click, 78, of Betsy Layne, who passed away Wednesday, Sept 5 at her residence.
Mrs. Click was born Sept. 7, 1933 in Floyd County, daughter of the late Oliver and Jessie Endicott Goble. She was a homemaker and a charter member of the Tom’s Creek Free Will Baptist Church.
She was also preceded in death by her husband, Robert Harold Click; six brothers, Ballard James, Adrian, Tommy, Roger Lee, Lawrence Oliver, and Burns Goble; and two sisters, Jean Click and Clara Ellen Bolden.
Surviving are one son, Randall Click of Betsy Layne; three daughters, Anita Click of Betsy Layne, Tina (Gomer) Hall of Dana, and Kim Bailey of Betsy Layne; four grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
The service will be officiated by Tim McCoy, with burial to follow in the Davidson Memorial Gardens at Ivel.

Charlotte Jean Price

Funeral services will be held Saturday, Sept. 8, 1 p.m. at the Boons Camp Free Will Baptist Church for Charlotte Jean Price, 63, of Williamsport, who passed away Wednesday, Sept. 5 at her residence.
Mrs. Price was born Oct. 23, 1948 in Johnson County, daughter of the late Elzie and Minnie Alice Mullins Collins. She was also preceded in death by three brothers, Elzie Jefferson, Tony, and William Robert Collins; and one sister, Betty Lou Spriggs.
Surviving are her husband, William R. Price of Williamsport; one son, William Bradley Price of Richmond; two daughters, Teresa Ann Duty of Williamsport and Betty Faye VanHoose of Lowmansville; three brothers, Roger Lee Collins and Frank Marion Collins, both of Williamsport, and Douglas Eugene Collins of Offutt; two sisters, Doris Ann Baldwin of Paintsville, and Joanie Lynn Daniel of Meally; nine grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
The service will be officiated by Jimmy Price and Edmond Hickman, with burial to follow in the Ward cemetery at Banjo Branch.

Claudia Sue Miles Bowen

Funeral services will be held Saturday, Sept. 8, 1 p.m. at the Jones-Preston Funeral Home Chapel for Claudia Sue Miles Bowen, 69, of Boons Camp, who passed away Wednesday, Sept. 5 at Mountain Manor Nursing Home in Paintsville.
Mrs. Bowen was born Oct. 30, 1942 in Johnson County, daughter of the late John Lee and Mildred Lemaster Miles. She was a homemaker. She was also preceded in death by one son, John Russell Mollette.
Surviving are her husband, Fred Bowen of Boons Camp; two daughters, Jacqulynn “Jackie” (Danny) Owens of Williamsport, and Roxanna (Steve) Cox of Paintsville; three brothers, Crofford Miles of Offutt, Joe Edward Miles of Paintsville, and Terrence Miles of Hammond; one sister, Brenda Payne of Richmond; four grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren, and four step children.
The service was officiated by Isaac Rowland and Southie Fannin Jr., with burial in the Miles cemetery at Hammond.
