Funeral services will be held Saturday, March 31 at 3:30 p.m. at the Red Bush Enterprise Baptist Church, for Junior Jack Fyffe, 66, of Flat Gap, who passed away Tuesday, March 27 at Paul B. Hall Regional Medical Center in Paintsville.
Mr. Fyffe was born Dec. 14, 1945, son of the late James Frank and Nancy Holbrook Fyffe.
Surviving are his wife, Mary Lemaster Fyffe of Flat Gap; two sons, Elvis Fyffe of Flat Gap, and Andy (Stacey) Hill of Keaton; five daughters, Patricia Castle of Lexington, Lilly Fairchild of Flat Gap, Crystal Fyffe (Bobby Mccormick) of Jackson, Ohio, Charlene (Larry) Hammonds and JoAnn (Tim) Stevens, both of Elk Fork; two special uncles, Clayton Holbrook of Keaton, and James Holbrook of Flat Gap; 17 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be Friday, March 30, 3 p.m. and Sat., March 31, 9 a.m. at the church.
The service will be officiated by Eulas Adams and Phillip Lawson, with burial following in the John Holbrook cemetery at Flat Gap.

Mary Frances Stambaugh
1935-2012
Funeral services will be held Friday, March 30, 2 p.m. at the Phelps & Son Funeral Home Chapel for Mary Frances Stambaugh, 76, of David, who passed away Wednesday, March 28 at Highlands Regional Medical Center in Prestonsburg.
Mrs. Stambaugh was born June 14, 1935 in Floyd County, daughter of the late Ray and Daisy Prater Stambaugh.
Surviving are three brothers, Gilbert Stambaugh of East Point, Ronald Stambaugh of Russell, and Donald Stambaugh of Prestonsburg; and two sisters, Carol Hackworth of Salyersville, and Shirley Williamson of McKee.
The service will be officiated by Aaron Davis and Tom Cook, with burial following in the Highland Memorial cemetery at Staffordsville.

Rosella ‘Rosie’ Davis
1938-2012
Funeral services will be held Friday, May 4, 10:30 a.m. at the Boyd-Born Funeral Home in Marion, Ohio, for Rosella “Rosie” Davis, 73, of Marion, who passed away Monday, April 30 at her residence.
Mrs. Davis was born June 2, 1938 in Sitka, daughter of the late Floyd and Julia Burton King. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Bobby G. Davis; two sons, Bill and Doug Davis; one granddaughter, Billy Jo Davis; seven brothers and three sisters.
Surviving are one son, Bobby Davis Jr. of Marion; two sisters, Clora Cantrell of Sitka, and Emma Flannery of Salyersville; one brother, Howard King of Sitka; 10 grandchildren; and three step-grandsons.
The service will be officiated by the Rev. Grover Caudill with burial to follow in the Grand Prairie Cemetery.

Doris Ann Preston
1931-2012
Funeral services will be held Saturday, May 5, 11 a.m. at the Preston Funeral Home Chapel for Doris Ann Preston, 80, of Williamsport, who passed away Monday, April 30 at Highlands Regional Medical Center in Prestonsburg.
Mrs. Preston was born Nov. 17, 1931 in Paintsville, daughter of the late Edgar A. and Anna Nova Salyer Castle. She was a waitress with Hudsonpillar Drug Store. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Roscoe Preston.
Surviving are one son, Timothy (Lidia) Preston of Attica, Ohio; three daughters, Janet (Mike) Smith of West Van Lear, Barbara (Ricky) Curtis of Williamsport, and Alicia (Billy) Robinette of Wittensville; five brothers, Jerry Castle of Belleveu, Ohio, James R. Castle of Reynoldsburg, Ohio, Gary Cletis Castle of Sandusky, Ohio, Edgar “Eddie” Castle of Castalia, Ohio, and Roger Castle of Thealka; one sister, Elizabeth Darnell King of Fairborn, Ohio; nine grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be Friday, May 4, 1 p.m.- 9 p.m. at the Preston Funeral Home Chapel.
The service will be officiated by Wayne Price and Larry Smith, with burial to follow in the Preston Family cemetery at Williamsport.

Nim Rod Bowens Jr.

Funeral services will be held Friday, May 4, 2 p.m. at the Phelps & Son Funeral Home Chapel for Nim Rod Bowens Jr., 41, of Crum, W. Va., formerly of Martin County, who passed away Sunday, April 29.
Mr. Bowens was born May 17, 1970 in Martin County, son Ruth Setser Sunday of Lawrence County, and the late Nim Bowens. He was also preceded in death by his wife, Tammy Bowens; one brother, William Thomas Bowens; and one sister, Anett Bowens.
Surviving in addition to his mother are, one son, Timothy James Richardson of Crum; one daughter, Mary Bowens of Crum; three brothers, Hubert Lee Bowens of Staffordsville, David Bowens of Grove City, Ohio and Rodney Bowens of Louisa; four sisters, Linda Lou Bowens of Huntington, W. Va., Patricia Banks and Lorraine Bowens, both of Louisa, and Sue Ellen Boyd of Douglasville, Ga.; and one grandson.
The service will be officiated by Albert Horn and Jimmy Horn, with burial to follow in the Bowens Family cemetery at Tomahawk.

Lucille Colvin Sparks

Funeral services were held Wednesday, May 2, 11 a.m. at the Jones-Preston Funeral Home Chapel for Lucille Colvin Sparks, 91, of Paintsville, who passed away Monday, April 30 at Paul B. Hall Regional Medical Center in Paintsville.
Mrs. Sparks was born Feb. 14, 1921 in Johnson County, daughter of the late Amos and Lillie McKenzie Colvin. She was a homemaker. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Ova Sparks; one son, Paul Sparks; one brother; and two half-sisters.
Surviving are four grandchildren, five great-grandchildren, and 17 great-great-grandchildren.
The service was officiated by Johnny Ray Ratliff, with burial in the Sparks cemetery at Flat Gap.

Manda Salyer

Funeral services will be held Friday, May 4, 11 a.m. at the Paintsville Funeral Home Chapel for Manda Salyer, 80, of Paintsville, who passed away Tuesday, May 1 at Paul B. Hall Regional Medical Center in Paintsville.
Ms. Salyer was born July 4, 1931, daughter of the late James Henry and Allie Cantrell Salyer. She was a homemaker.
Surviving are her daughter, Kathy Salyer; two brothers, Cozy and Noah Salyer; three sisters, Esta Johnson, Lula Gaye Salyer, and Moncie Vickers.
The service will be officiated by Jerry Lee Castle, Tim Salyer and Lonnie Salyer, with burial in the Salyer Family cemetery at Joe’s Creek.

Paul Tipton

Funeral services will be held Friday, May 4, 1 p.m. at the Paintsville Funeral Home Chapel for Paul Tipton, 79, of Paintsville, who passed away Wednesday, May 2 at Pikeville Medical Center in Pikeville.
Mr. Tipton was born Dec. 26, 1932, son of the late William and Wanda Carroll Tipton. He was a heavy equipment operator.
Surviving are one son, William Paul Tipton; one sister, Anna Ruth Jones; and seven grandchildren.
The service will be officiated by Joe Hill, with burial following in the Carroll cemetery at Whitehouse.
