Funeral services were held Thursday, Dec. 29, 1 p.m. at the Jones-Preston Funeral Home Chapel for Tammy L. May, 47, of Ypsilanti, Mich., who passed away Thursday, Dec. 22 in Ypsilanti.
Ms. May was born May 10, 1964 in Johnson County, daughter of Beatrice Picklesimer May Ratliff of Michigan and the late Paul May. She was employed in the food service with the school system.
Surviving are one son, Larry Keith VanHoose of Paintsville; one daughter, Amie May of Royal Oak, Mich.; two brothers, Ronnie (Mary) Cantrell of Prestonsburg and Paul May of Ypsilanti; two sisters, Delores (Jack) Priode of Wittensville and Cathy (Tim) Green of Thelma; and one granddaughter.
The service was officiated by Ronnie Spriggs, with burial in the Highland Memorial Park cemetery at Staffordsville.

Clinton “Bud” Patrick
1957-2011
Funeral services were held Wednesday, Dec. 28, 4 p.m. at the Tom’s Creek United Baptist Church, for Clinton “Bud” Patrick, 55, of Oil Springs, who passed away Tuesday, Dec. 27 in Huntington, W.Va.
Mr. Patrick was born Sept. 17, 1957 at Oil Springs, son of the late Clinton and Polly Ann Moore Patrick. He was a mechanic with Bailey Bros. Car Sales.
Surviving are one brother, Jerry Patrick of Falcon; and his step-mother, Frankie Edith Patrick.
The service was officiated by J. D. Rice.

Larry Muncy
1954-2011
Memorial services will be held at a later date for Larry Muncy, 57, of Lovely, who passed away Tuesday, Dec. 27 at his residence.
Mr. Muncy was born Jan. 5, 1954 in Martin County, son of the late Eugene and Dolly Evans Muncy.
Surviving are one son, Larry J. Muncy of Kermit, W.Va.; one daughter, Laureda Muncy of Kermit; one brother, Greg Muncy of Paintsville; three sisters, Kathy Collins of Covington, Karen Dalton of Warfield, and Stephanie Tucker of Winchester; four grandchildren; and his companion, Vicky Mooney.

Corrie Rowland Gwinn
1930-2011
Funeral services were held Wednesday, Dec. 28, 1 p.m. at the Jones-Preston Funeral Home Chapel for Corrie Rowland Gwinn, 81, who passed away Saturday, Dec. 24 at King’s Daughters Medical Center in Ashland.
Mrs. Gwinn was born Dec. 15, 1930 in Johnson County, daughter of the late Fred and Dona May Rowland. She was a hospital worker.
She was also preceded in death by her husband, Robert E. Gwinn; one daughter, Sharon Fields; five brothers, Herbert, Charles, Armstrong, Henry, and Claude Rowland; one sister, Flora Waddle; one grandson, Ryan Fairchild; and great-granddaughter, Alicia Raeann Gwinn.
Surviving are two sons, Jason Gwinn of Hager Hill, and William Joseph Gwinn of Zebulon; three daughters, Carrie Fairchild of Paintsville, and Linda Simpkins of Leon, W.Va.; three brothers, Burns Rowland of Ashland, Isaac Rowland of Meally, and Irvin Rowland of Hammond; one sister, Ida Ann Stamper of Litchfield, Ohio; six grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
The service was officiated by Ronnie Spriggs, with burial in the Highland Memorial Park cemetery at Staffordsville.

Frank Childers
1945-2011
Funeral services were held Tuesday, Dec. 27, 1 p.m. at the Jones-Preston Funeral Home Chapel for Frank Childers, 66, of Blaine, who passed away Friday, Dec. 23 at his residence.
Mr. Childers was born May 21, 1945 in Johnson County, son of the late John Childers and Pauline Holbrook Childers Duty.
Surviving are three sons, Benjamin Childers of Prestonsburg, Frank Childers Jr. of Paintsville, and Rob Childers of Albion, Mich.; two daughters, Sheila Deroy of Morgantown, and Cindy Bowen of Louisa; two brothers, James Vernon Childers of Florida, and Tom Childers of Coldwater, Mich.; two sisters, Bobbi Ann Thompson of Louisa, and Tina Gilliam of West Liberty; and 12 grandchildren.
The service was officiated by J. D. Rice.

James Bailey Hall Jr.
1954-2012
Funeral services were held Thursday, Feb. 2, 1 p.m. at the Johnson Funeral Home in Georgetown, for James Bailey Hall Jr., 58, of Georgetown, formerly of Wheelwright, who passed away Monday, Jan. 30 at Georgetown Community Hospital.
Mr. Hall was born Jan. 7, 1954 at Virgie, son of Margaret Perry Lewis and the late James Bailey Hall.
He was also preceded in death by his grandparents, John Melvin and Connie Little Hall.
Surviving in addition to his mother are, his wife, Deborah K. Hall of Georgetown; four children, James Bailey Hall III, Anthony Wayne Hall, Kristi Lou Hall, and Allison Jade Hall; step-children, Cynthia Kay Salyer, Ronnie Steven, Richard Allen, and Bradley Evan Hackworth; and 10 grandchildren.
Burial was in the Crestlawn Cemetery.

James M. Lemaster
1937-2012
Graveside services will be held Saturday, Feb. 4, 10 a.m. at the Lemaster cemetery at Sitka, for James M. Lemaster, 75, of Paintsville, who passed away Sunday, Jan. 29 at his residence.
Mr. Lemaster was born Jan. 9, 1937 in Louisa, son of the late Ealey and Delphia Young Lemaster. He was a retired electrician with Martin County Coal.
Surviving are one son, Victor Allen Lemaster of Logan, Ohio; three daughters, Carol Surratt of Jacksonville, Fla., Deborah Jean Rowe of Logan, Ohio, and Sandra Smith of Port Charlotte, Fla.; two sisters, Barbara Ellen Wright of Paintsville, and Irene King of Hillard, Ohio; four grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
The service will be officiated by James Roger VanHoose.

Minerva Alice Auxier
1930-2012
Funeral services were held Friday, Jan. 6, 11 a.m. at the Cross Lanes Bible Church in Cross Lanes, W.Va., for Minerva Alice Auxier, 81, of Thomasville, N.C., who passed away Tuesday, Jan. 3 at Pine Ridge Nursing Home in Thomasville.
Mrs. Auxier was born Oct. 23, 1930 at Hager Hill, daughter of the late Dorman and Rebecca Picklesimer. She was a graduate of Meade Memorial High School and a volunteer at the Thomas Memorial Hospital where she directed the function of the Chaplaincy program for 23 years.
She was also preceded in death by brothers, Hershel, Ival, R.J., Clifford, B.J. and Paul Picklesimer; and two sisters, Neva Harter and Edna Dietrich.
Surviving are her husband, Robert L. Auxier; stepson, James M. Auxier of Thomasville; one brother, Dorman Picklesimer Jr. of Millis, Mass.; and two sisters, Jean Spears of Columbus, Ohio, and Mary Hampton of Versailles; and four grandchildren.
The service was officiated by Dr. James Efaw, with burial in the Cunningham Memorial Park at St. Albans, W.Va.
