Funeral services will be held Thursday, Oct. 6, 1 p.m. at the Paintsville Funeral Home Chapel for Anita Horne Sexton, 45, of Staffordsville, who passed away Monday, Oct. 3, at her residence.
Mrs. Sexton was born Nov. 21, 1965 in Paintsville, daughter of Janet May Horne of Paintsville, and the late Wilbur Lee Horne. She was a U.S. Government supervisor.
Surviving in addition to her mother are two daughters, Rebecca Carol Sexton and Jamie Lynn Sexton Spence, both of Paintsville; three brothers, Allen Lee Horne of Hager Hill, Bryan Keith (Billie) Horne of Piketon, Ohio, and Christopher (Betty) Horne of Staffordsville; one sister, Donna Horne Hall of Leander; one half-sister, Sandra Kaye Horne of Indiana; one half-brother, Donnie Horne of Paintsville; and her fiancé, James Welch.
The service will be officiated by Elder James R. Blair, burial will be in the Horne cemetery at Staffordsville.

Prince Waller
1954-2011
Funeral services were held Monday, Oct. 3, 1 p.m. at the Preston Funeral Home for Prince Waller, 57, of Williamsport, who passed away Saturday, Oct. 1 at his residence.
Mr. Waller was born Jan. 27, 1954 at Boons Camp, son of the late Cecil and Minnie Crum Waller. He was a self-employed mechanic.
Surviving are his wife, Paula Dheel Waller; two daughters, Misty Cole and Kayla Maynard, both of Paintsville; one step-daughter, Jessica Harmon of Flat Gap; six brothers, Harold Waller of Meally, Bill Waller of Tazewell, Tenn., Noah Waller of Paintsville, Hubert Waller of Wittensville, Cecil Waller of Michigan, and Orville Waller of Red Bush; and two grandchildren.
The service was officiated by Cecil Waller.

Antha ‘Ann’ Harmon
1938-2011
Funeral services will be held Friday, Sept. 30, 1 p.m. at the Richmond-Callaham Funeral Home, Warfield Chapel, for Antha “Ann” Harmon, 72, of Warfield, who passed away Tuesday, Sept. 27.
She was born Dec. 9, 1938 in Hode, daughter of the late Allen and Hazel Maynard Harmon. She was also preceded in death by three brothers, and two sisters.
Surviving are her daughter, Denise (Tom) Chaffins of Warfield; two sons, Robert (Betty) Dillon, and Ray Edward (Audrey) Dillon of Warfield; two stepsons, Jerry Daniels of Hazard, and Scott Daniels of Paintsville; three brothers, Allen Harmon Jr. and Elias Harmon, both of Columbus, Ohio, and Burns Harmon of Warfield; two sisters, Emma Jo Bowen of Warfield, and Tennie Vance of Grethel.
The service will be officiated by Clyde Waller, with burial in the Chaffin-Harmon cemetery at Hode.

Mary Landrum Witten
1947-2011
Graveside services will be held Friday, Sept. 30, 2:30 p.m. at the Grand Prairie cemetery at Brush Ridge, Ohio, for Mary Landrum Witten, 64, of Marion, who passed away Monday, Sept. 26.
Mrs. Witten was the daughter of the late Earl and Hazel Holycross Landrum.
She was also preceded in death by siblings, Evalina Erwin, Dick and Forest Landrum, Ronny Holycross, Henry Landrum and Dee Crissinger.
Surviving are her husband, Frank Witten; two sons, Frank (Sheri) Witten and Tom (April) Witten; one daughter, Janice (Don) Stone; eight grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren.
The service will be officiated by Pastor Nicholas Warden.

Ronald David Allen
1942-2011
Ronald David Allen, 69, of Minnie, passed away Sunday, Sept. 25 in Floyd County.
Mr. Allen was born April 18, 1942, son of the late Johnny and Armina Conn Allen. He was a disabled coal miner.
He was preceded in death by one daughter, Susan Sizemore; one brother, Hubert Salisbury; and one sister, Betty Thompson.
Surviving are his wife, Brenda Reed Allen of Minnie; one son, Paul Allen; one daughter, Rhonda Hall, both of Michigan; four brothers, James E. Allen of Oregon, Lonnie Allen of Stanville; Kenneth Allen of Ohio; Johnnie Allen Jr. of Mississippi; two sisters, Barbara Halbert of Lexington, and Annette Miller of Ohio; six grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
Burial will be in the Allen Family cemetery at Printer.

Betty M. Burchett
1928-2011
Funeral services were held Thursday, Sept. 22, 1:30 p.m. at Preston Funeral Home Chapel for Betty M. Burchett, 82, of Stambaugh, who passed away Sunday, Sept. 18 at Salyersville Health Care in Salyersville.
Mrs. Burchett was born Oct. 19, 1928 in Paintsville, daughter of the late Rex and Anna Burchett Stambaugh. She was the former owner of Highland House Restaurant.
She was also preceded in death by her husband, Samuel Jay Burchett.
Surviving are two sons, Sam and Dan Burchett, both of Stambaugh; one daughter, Tammy Pruitt of Stambaugh; one sister, Mary Lewis of Florida; seven grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren.
The service was officiated by James Kelly Caudill, John G. Pelphrey and J. D. Rice, with burial in the Burchett cemetery at Stambaugh.

Etta Evelyn Webb

Funeral services were held Monday, Sept. 26, 11 a.m. at the Oil Springs Free Will Baptist Church for Etta Evelyn Webb, 89, of Oil Springs, who passed away Friday, Sept 23 at Mountain Manor Nursing Home in Paintsville.
Mrs. Webb was born Nov. 18, 1921 at Oil Springs, daughter of the late Luther and Laura Collins Lemaster. She was a retired U. S. Post mistress at Manila.
She was preceded in death by her husband, George Webb.
Surviving are two sons, Charles Donald (Gwen) Webb of Johnson City, Tenn., and George Danny (Shelva) Webb of Oil Springs; two daughters, Fran (Jim) Davis of Scott Depot, W.Va., and Judy (Robert) VanHoose of Oil Springs; one brother, Robert Cecil Lemaster of Ohio; four sisters, Nadine Blanton and Ann McClure, both of Paintsville, Ruth Blanton of Oil Springs, and Jo Holbrook of Van Lear; nine grandchildren and 21 great-grandchildren.
The service was officiated by the Revs. Keith Horn and Chad Blair, with burial in the Highland Memorial Park cemetery at Staffordsville.

Joyce A. Goodson

Graveside services will be held Thursday, Sept. 29, 11 a.m. at the Highland Memorial Park cemetery at Staffordsville, for Joyce A. Goodson, 87, of Phoenix, Ariz., who passed away Sunday, Sept. 25 at her residence.
Mrs. Goodson was born Feb. 8, 1924 in Jenkins, daughter of the late Belle Mullins and Hubert “Sleepy” Henderson. She was a homemaker.
She was also preceded in death by her husband, Ernest Goodson; and one brother.
Surviving are one niece, Marcia Blaha of Bowling Green; and one great-niece and one great-nephew.
