Paintsville resident Oena Daniel, 87, died Saturday, March 13, at her residence. Mrs. Daniel was born November 3, 1911, in Johnson County, to the late Shady and Virgie Price Grimm. She was owner and operator of Peggy Lou Shoppe of Paintsville and a member of Southside Freewill Baptist Church.

Herbert Randall Lemaster, 65, of Ypsilanti, Michigan, died Wednesday, January 20. Mr. Lemaster was born July 21, 1933, in Paintsville, to Gypsie Woods Lemaster and the late Lloyd Lemaster. He was retired from Ford Transmission Plant.

Funeral services will be held today, Friday, March 19, for Bobby Lyons, 60, who died Tuesday, March 16, at Paul B. Hall Regional Medical Center. Mr. Lyons was born May 6, 1938, in Johnson County, to the late Walter and Mary Bowens Lyons. He was disabled.

Preston Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements for James Stambaugh, 49, who died Saturday, March 13, at his Thelma residence. Mr. Stambaugh was born July 9, 1949, in Johnson County, to the late Glenn and Anna Belle Meade Stambaugh. He was a funeral director at Preston Funeral Home and a member of Southside Freewill Baptist Church.

Valerie Thompson, 90, died Thursday, March 18, at Paul B. Hall Regional Medical Center. Mrs. Thompson was born August 6, 1908, at Oil Springs, to the late Byrd and Mahala Trimble Preston. She was a member of the Barnetts Creek United Baptist Church.

Former Johnson County resident Barbara Alice Williamson Meek, 78, died Tuesday, March 16, at her Tulsa, Oklahoma, residence. Mrs. Meek was born February 24, 1921, in Johnson County, to the late John C. and Mary Susanne Osborne Williamson. She was a nurse.

Jones-Preston Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements for Clyde Marcus Bayes, 71, who died Thursday, March 18, at Highlands Regional Medical Center. Mr. Bayes was born December 22, 1927, in Johnson County, to the late Prentiss Sherman and Vertrice Cochran Bayes. He was a retired installer from Bell South.

Hager Hill resident Wallace Eugene "Wally" LeMaster, 30, died Thursday, March 18, at his Hager Hill residence. Mr. LeMaster was born August 8, 1968, in Louisville, to Garland and Valeeta Kestner LeMaster. He was disabled.

Funeral services were held Monday, March 22, for Glen Williams, 96, who died Thursday, March 18, at Highlands Regional Medical Center. Mr. Williams was born November 23, 1902, in Johnson County, to the late Beverly and Flora Caudill Williams. He was a retired plasterer.

Jackie Powers, 58, of Leander, died Friday, March 19, at UK Medical Center, Lexington. Mr. Powers was born June 4, 1940, in Floyd County, to James Powers of Auxier and the late Bonnie Powers. He was a disabled salesman and member of the Auxier Freewill Baptist Church.

Frank "Bud" Green, 68, of Sinking Spring, Ohio, died Friday, March 19, at Hospice of Dayton. Mr. Green was born February 15, 1931, to the late Edward and Anna Caplinger Green.

Beulah Borders Patrick, 89, died Friday, March 19, at Paul B. Hall Regional Medical Center. Mrs. Patrick was born June 26, 1909, in Magoffin County, to the late Jesse and Letha Francis Crace Borders. She was a member of the Freewill Baptist Church.

Paintsville Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements for Cecelia Elizabeth King, 72, who died Friday, March 19, at Paul B. Hall Regional Medical Center. Mrs. King was born November 14, 1926, in Floyd County, to the late John Patrick and Emma Ramey Green.

Retired oil driller Lowman "Jack" Cochran, 81, died Sunday, March 21, at Paul B. Hall Regional Medical Center. Mr. Cochran was born December 21, 1917, in Johnson County, to the late Thurman and Cleffa Gullett Cochran. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army.

Funeral services were held Thursday, March 25, for Sarah Reed Bolden Wells, 79, who died March 22 at Highlands Regional Medical Center. Mrs. Wells was born September 9, 1919, in Johnson County, to the late Jim and Belle Reed.

Sarah Evalene Jenkins, 89, died Tuesday, March 23, at Highlands Regional Medical Center. Mrs. Jenkins was born September 2, 1909, in Morgan County, to the late E.D. Jenkins and Mary McKenzie.

Hager Hill resident Robert Wayne Fraser, 50, died Sunday, March 21, at Pikeville Methodist Hospital. Mr. Fraser was born August 30, 1948, in Hopkins County, to Rev. and Mrs. A. L. Fraser. He was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Earlington and attended the First Presbyterian Church in Prestonsburg. He was a coal analyst for Southern Company Service Inc.

Former Johnson County resident Phyllis M. Branham, 57, of South Charleston, Ohio, died March 25 in Community Hospital. Mrs. Branham was born January 29, 1942, at Offutt, to Stella Mollette Ramey and the late Tom Ramey. She was a former cook for the Clark County Board of MRDD, Town and Country School, member of Alder Chapel United Baptist Church and an honorary Kentucky Colonel.

Jones-Preston Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements for George Lee "George Bob" Freeman, 69, who died Saturday, March 27, at his East Point residence. Mr. Freeman was born June 20, 1929, in Johnson County, to the late Jesse and Darcus Marshall Freeman. He was disabled and a veteran of the Korean War.

Preston Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements for Ernestine Burchett, 91, who died Tuesday, March 23, at Paul B. Hall Regional Medical Center. Mrs. Burchett was born September 18, 1907, in Johnson County, to the late James and Dutch Dixon McKenzie. She was an office clerk for G. C. Murphy Company and a member of George's Creek United Baptist Church.

Lillie Mae Castle, 69, died Friday, March 19, at her residence. Mrs. Castle was born April 9, 1929, in Johnson County, to the late William Foster and Manie Preston Scarberry. She was a retired cook from W.R. Castle Elementary and a member of Enterprise Baptist Church.

Whitehouse resident Lenchie Welch, 76, died Wednesday, March 24, at her residence. Mrs. Welch was born April 17, 1922, in Johnson County, to the late Linville and Nellie Booth Wheeler. She was a member of Hammond Freewill Baptist Church.

Funeral services will be held today, Wednesday, March 31, for Gary L. Conley, 54, who died Monday, March 29, at Paul B. Hall Regional Medical Center. Mr. Conley was born January 26, 1945, in Johnson County, to Eula Mae Williams Conley and the late Glen Conley. He was a heavy equipment operator for Rice Brothers Construction Company of Oil Springs.

Gloria Mollett, 65, died Monday, March 29, at her Tomahawk residence. Mrs. Mollett was born November 26, 1933, in Martin County, to the late Shadie B. and Ethel Swain Meek.

Van Lear resident Anita Lewis, 36, died Sunday, March 28, at UK Medical Center, Lexington. Mrs. Lewis was born April 30, 1962, at Martin, to the late Jeff and Alka Hunt Scott. She was a member of the West Van Lear Freewill Baptist Church.

Funeral services will be held tomorrow, Thursday, April 1, for Clyde Holbrook, 71, who died March 28 at his Paintsville residence. Mr. Holbrook was born April 17, 1927, in Johnson County, to the late Arthur and Carrie Collier Holbrook. He was a laborer and Army veteran of World War II.

Mary Preston, 74, died Monday, March 29, at Paul B. Hall Regional Medical Center. Mrs. Preston was born April 27, 1924, in Floyd County, to the late Earl and Grethel VanHoose Daniels. At the time of her retirement she was employed by the ASCS Office of Paintsville and was a commissioned Kentucky Colonel.
