Mrs. Arrowood was born October 3, 1906, in Barnetts Creek, to the late Joseph and Florence Caudill Trimble. She was a homemaker and member of the Bethel United Baptist Church.

John H. James, 76, of Floyd County, died Thursday, May 13, at his residence. Mr. James was born August 30, 1922, at German, to the late Thomas and Elizabeth Martin James. He was a retired coal miner from Preston Mining Company and a member of the Freewill Baptist Church/Belle Chapel in Louisa.
Former Johnson County resident Elmo McKenzie, 69, died Tuesday, May 11, at his Indiana residence. Mr. McKenzie was born November 17, 1929, in Paintsville, to Eva Bailey McKenzie and the late Bert McKenzie. He was formerly employed by Sealtest Ice Cream Company in West Virginia, and retired as a driver for Kenosha Trucking Company after 34 years of service. He was a member of the Camper's Club of America, Union Local #414 and the NRA.
Van Lear resident Hobert Horn, 62, died Wednesday, May 19, at VA Hospital in Huntington, West Virginia. Mr. Horn was born March 12, 1937, in Warfield, to the late Matthew and Alice Hinkle Horn. He was retired from General Electric and a veteran of the U.S. Army.
