Funeral services were held Tuesday, May 3, 11 a.m. at the Auxier Free Will Baptist Church for Samuel “Bud” Spears, 65, of East Point, Ky., who passed away Friday, April 29 at King’s Daughters Medical Center in Ashland, Ky.
Mr. Spears was born December 19, 1939 in Johnson County, Ky., son of the late Herbert and Nola Webb Spears.
Surviving are one brother, Robert Spears of East Point, Ky., and one sister, Mary Ward of Jackson, Mich.
The service was officiated by Bobby Joe Spencer, with burial in the Spears Family cemetery at East Point, Ky.

Marion Stapleton
1923-2005
Funeral services were held Friday, April 15, 11 a.m. at the Grandstaff-Hentgen Funeral Service for Marion Stapleton, 81, of Wabash, Ind., who passed away Wednesday, April 13 at his residence.
Mr. Stapleton was born April 17, 1923 in Paintsville, Ky., son of the late Marion F. Sr. and Mintie Cooper Stapleton. He was a member of the Wabash Free Will Baptist Church and retired from Wabash Alloys. He was also preceded in death by his wife, Betty Conley, three brothers and one sister.
Surviving are one son, Willard F. Stapleton of Wabash, Ind.; four daughters, Carolyn (Stanley) Hannah, Eugenia Stapleton, Shirley Stapleton, and Helen Dials, all of Wabash, Ind.; one brother, Andrew Stapleton of Mount Sterling, Ohio; four sisters, Hattie Rice of Tipp City, Ohio, Bessie Spears of Springfield, Ohio, Marie Rice of Hager Hill, Ky., and Grace Spears of Hager Hill, Ky.; four grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
Burial was in the Memorial Lawn cemetery at Wabash, Ind.

Robert D. Huff
1932-2005
Funeral services will be held Saturday, Dec. 10, 1 p.m. at the Sitka Free Will Baptist Church, for Robert D. Huff, 73, of Sitka, Ky., who passed away Tuesday, Dec. 6 at J.J. Jordan Geriatric Center in Louisa, Ky.
Mr. Huff was born July 5, 1932 in Johnson County, Ky., son of the late Millard and Zora Salyers Huff. He was a painter and carpenter.
Surviving are his wife, Arbra Greene Huff of Sitka; one son, Robert Huff of Sitka; and four grandchildren, two great-grandchildren and two step-great-grandchildren.
The service will be officiated by Jim McKenzie and Tim Salyers, with burial following in the Chandler-Pack cemetery at Stambaugh, Ky.

Sandra L. Fraley
1949-2005
Funeral services will be held Saturday, Dec. 10, 11 a.m. at the Phelps & Son Funeral Home in Paintsville, Ky., for Sandra L. Fraley, 56, of Boston, Mass., who passed away Sunday, Dec. 4 in Boston.
Ms. Fraley was born Oct. 31, 1949 in Carter County, Ky., daughter of the late Paul and Eunice Porter Fraley. She was an educational research consultant.
Surviving are one brother, Ron Fraley of Phoenix, Ariz.; and two sisters, Donna Frazier of Staffordsville, Ky., and Robin Caudill of Mansfield, Ky.
The service will be officiated by Donny Patrick, with burial following in the Lakeview Memorial cemetery at Staffordsville.

Bethel Mae Fulton

Funeral services will be held Saturday, Dec. 10, noon, at the Jones-Preston Funeral Home Chapel for Bethel Mae Fulton, 74, of Hager Hill, Ky., who passed away Tuesday, Dec. 6 at her residence.
Mrs. Fulton was born March 1, 1931 in Johnson County, Ky., daughter of the late Everett Lee and Minnie Louise Spears Blevins. She was a homemaker. She was also preceded in death by her husband, John R. Fulton.
Surviving are four sons, Roger Lee (Sharon) Ward and Jimmy (Renee) Blevins, both of Lakeland, Fla., Johnny Ray (Linda) Fulton of Leander, Ky., and Danny Lee (Charlotte) Fulton of West Van Lear, Ky.; four daughters, Phyllis (Ballard) Shepherd of Prestonsburg, Ky., Peggy (Bene) Brown of Van Lear, Ky., Martha Jane (Jack) Ward of Sitka, Ky., and Ella (Jr.) Damron of Collista, Ky.; one brother, Thomas (Faye) Davis of Chestnut, Ky.; and 30 grandchildren and 37 great-grandchildren.
The service will be officiated by Roger Thornsbury, Joe Scott and Danny Ward, with burial following in the Highland Memorial Park at Staffordsville, Ky.

Robert Lee ‘R.L.’ Webb
1930-2005
Funeral services will be held Friday, Dec. 9, 11 a.m. at the Jones-Preston Funeral Home Chapel for Robert Lee “R.L.” Webb, 75, of Oil Springs, Ky., who passed away Tuesday, Dec. 6 at the Paul B. Hall Regional Medical Center in Paintsville, Ky.
Mr. Webb was born June 26, 1930 in Johnson County, Ky., son of the late Ozie and Anna Meade Webb. He was retired from Big Sandy RECC.
Surviving are his wife, Lizzie Williams Webb of Oil Springs; one step-son, Adam Blanton of Sitka, Ky.; four step-daughters, Sina Blevins and Pam Owens, both of Oil Springs, Ruthie Cantrell of Urbana, Ohio, and Henrietta Blair of Lowmansville, Ky.; three brothers, Charles Webb of Oil Springs, Larry Webb of Lode, Ky., and Darrell Webb of Flat Gap, Ky.; five sisters, Catherine Lemaster and Malta Curtis, both of Flat Gap, Laura Gibbs of Russell, Ky., Alene Cope of Flatwoods, Ky., and Ruth Williams of Lode; and 13 grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
The service will be officiated by Gail Music and Jerry Scott, with burial in the Webb Family cemetery on Pigeon Creek Road at Oil Springs.
