Funeral services were held Monday, March 27, noon at the Tyree Funeral Home Chapel in Oak Hill, W.Va., for Minnie Louise Haney Blair, 54, of Fayetteville, W.Va., who passed away Saturday, March 25 at her residence.
Mrs. Blair was born Jan. 1, 1952 in Paintsville, Ky., daughter of Norma Jean Castle Haney of Paintsville and the late Elmer Haney Sr. She was also preceded in death by one brother, Elmer Haney Jr. She was a retired licensed practical nurse.
Surviving are one son, Greg (Trina) Blair of Oak Hill; one daughter, Deana (Andy) Asbury of Fayetteville; one sister, Deloris (Bob) Smedley of Paintsville; six brothers, Sam (Rose) Haney of Lexington, Ky., and Johnny (Brenda), Gerald (Missy), Mike (Mary Beth), Everett, and Randy (Tammy) Haney, all of Paintsville; and three grandchildren.
The service was officiated by the Rev. Delmas Wolfe, with burial following in the High Lawn Memorial Park at Oak Hill.

Virgie Grimm
1916-2006
Funeral services will be held Friday, March 31, 11 a.m. at the Craven & Snyder Funeral Home in Mt. Gilead, Ohio, for Virgie Grimm, 89, of Mt. Gilead, who passed away Monday, March 27 at the Woodside Village Care Center.
Mrs. Grimm was born Sept. 5, 1916, daughter of the late Bradley W. and Nancy VanHoose Patrick of Thealka, and was raised by her father and her step-mother, the late Mary Ann Patrick. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Ruel R. Grimm; an infant son, Earl Grimm; one granddaughter, Jody Marie Grimm; one sister, Maudie Grim; and two brothers, Bradley Jr. and Carl Patrick. She was a homemaker.
Surviving are three sons, Maurice (Barbara) Grimm of Cardington, Ohio, Douglas (Joyce) Grimm of Mt. Gilead, and Sammie (Sandra) Grimm of Ft. Wayne, Ind.; two brothers, Henry A. Patrick of Wittensville, Ky., and Clyde Patrick of Paintsville, Ky.; three sisters, Polly Wells of Mt. Gilead, Marjorie Wells of Wittensville, and Myrtle Caudill of Nippa, Ky.; and nine grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandchild.
The service will be officiated by Pastors Ed Colegrove and Roger Fletcher, with burial following in the Rivercliff Cemetery.

Donald L. Burke
1931-2005
Funeral services were held Tuesday, Dec. 27, 2 p.m. at the Bear Creek United Methodist Church, Bear Creek, Ky., for Donald L. Burke, 74, of Lawrence County, Ky., who passed away Thursday, Dec. 22.
Mr. Burke was born Feb. 12, 1931 in Buchanan, Ky., son of the late John and Mayme Powell Burke. He was a line maintenance worker with CSX Railroad. He was also preceded in death by his wife, Hazel Ann Layne Burke.
Surviving are one daughter, Donna Stubbins of Louisville, Ky.; one son, Lindsey Burke of Louisa, Ky.; one brother, Carl Burke of Catlettsburg, Ky.; one sister, Betty Riddle of Harlem, Ga.; and three grandchildren.
The service was officiated by the Revs. Glenn VanHoose and Noah Wilks, with burial in the Buchanan Chapel cemetery at Zelda, Ky.

Ethel Daniels
1915-2005
Funeral services were held Wednesday, Dec. 21, 1 p.m. at the Little Friendship United Baptist Church for Ethel Daniels, 90, of Lafayette, Ind., who passed away Sunday, Dec. 18.
Mrs. Daniels was born Sept. 7, 1915 in Johnson County, Ky., daughter of the late William and Blanche Williams. She was also preceded in death by her first husband, John Daniels, and second husband, Bill Estep.
Surviving are three sons, Woodrow Daniels of Sitka, Ky., Shilo Daniels of Cocoa, Fla., and Johnny Daniels of Merritt Island, Fla.; two daughters, Betty Thompson of Hampton, Va., and Lilly Warrell of LaFayette; and 22 grandchildren and several great-grandchildren.
The service was officiated by Claude Mollette, Dewey Mullins and Shade Lee Walters, with burial in the Daniels Family cemetery at Boons Camp, Ky.

Hansel Picklesimer
1925-2005
Funeral services were held Thursday, Dec. 22, 2 p.m. at the Hailsey Funeral Home Chapel in Fort Pierce, Fla., for Hansel Picklesimer, 80, of Fort Pierce, who passed away Monday, Dec. 19 in Fort Pierce.
Surviving are his wife, Eloise Picklesimer of Fort Pierce; one son, Gary Picklesimer of Lakeland, Fla.; three daughters, Debbie Boyer of Sebastian, Fla., Joyce of Fort Pierce, and Lisa Castle of Mechanicsburg, Ohio; one brother, Homer Picklesimer of Volga, Ky.; and eight grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
Burial was in the White City cemetery at Fort Pierce.
Harvey G. Reynolds
April 20, 1925 - December 14, 2005
Born to Richard and Virgie Reynolds in Barnetts Creek, Ky. Raised with four brothers, John, Robert, Tom, and Jim; and seven sisters, Eula, Gegie, Virginia, Sarah, Opal, Patsy, and Barbara. Served in WW II, where he received the Purple Heart, and survived to wed his wife of 60 years, Ethel Reynolds, with whom he had two sons, Randy and Ralph; and three daughters, Reva, Renah and Sheila. In which gave him seven grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. He was an elder and minister in the Jehovah Witness Congregation. He was very loved and respected by all.
We will miss him until we see him again.
Linda Lou Montgomery
1948-2005
Funeral services were held Monday, Dec. 26, 3 p.m. at the Highland Memorial Park at Staffordsville, Ky., for Linda Lou Montgomery, 57, of East Point, Ky., who passed away Saturday, Dec. 24 at her residence.
Mrs. Montgomery was born Oct. 24, 1948 in West Van Lear, Ky., daughter of the late Obrie and Lennie Cantrell Montgomery. She was a bookkeeper with South Central Bell Telephone Company. She was also preceded in death by one brother, Bob Montgomery, and one sister, Donna Colvin.
Surviving are three sisters, Judy Daniel of East Point, Betty Preston of Columbus, Ohio, and Elizabeth Honeycutt of Prestonsburg, Ky.; one brother, Bill Montgomery of Winchester, Ky.; and several nieces and nephews.
The service was officiated by Jerry Scott.

William R. Murphy

Funeral services will be held Friday, Dec. 30, 1 p.m. at the Phelps & Son Funeral Home Chapel in Paintsville, Ky., for William R. Murphy, 58, of Van Lear, Ky., who passed away Tuesday, Dec. 27 at the Salyersville Nursing Home.
Mr. Murphy was born May 28, 1947 in Johnson County, Ky., son of the late Max and Annie Blair Murphy.
Surviving are one brother, Mike Murphy, and one sister, Jackie Jean Murphy, both of Van Lear.
The service will be officiated by Roger Hill, with burial in the Murphy Family Cemetery.

Cona ‘Connie’ Haller

Funeral services were held Tuesday, Dec. 20, 2 p.m. at the Preston Funeral Home Chapel for Cona “Connie” Haller, 79, of Paintsville, Ky., who passed away Monday, Dec. 19 at Paul B. Hall Regional Medical Center in Paintsville.
Mrs. Haller was born March 31, 1926 in Johnson County, Ky., daughter of the late Brooks and Lura Meade Conley. She was a member of the Pigeon Enterprise Baptist Church.
Surviving are one daughter, Joan Prater of Staffordsville, Ky.; two brothers, Roy Wilis Conley of Stambaugh, Ky., and Buell Craton Conley of Tipp City, Ohio; and six grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
The service was officiated by Joe Keaton, with burial in the Brooks Conley cemetery at Staffordsville.
