Funeral services will be held Friday, Jan. 20, 1 p.m. at the North Fork Baptist Church in North Fork, S.C., for Bobby Gean Webb, 73, of Flat Gap, Ky., who passed away Tuesday, Jan. 17 at the Veterans Administration facility in Huntington, W.Va.
Mr. Webb was born Apr. 22, 1932 in Greenville, S.C., son of the late Charlie and Eula Paige Webb. He was a diesel mechanic. He was also preceded in death by his wife, Mary Frances Leopard Webb.
Surviving are one son, James Gerald Webb of South Carolina; three daughters, Tammy Grace Wyatt of Greenville, Bobbie Jean Wells of Traveler’s Rest, S.C., and Mary Yvonne Grimm of Flat Gap; and one brother, Charlie Webb Jr. of North Carolina.
The service will be officiated by Thomas Wallace, with burial in the North Fork Baptist Church cemetery at Traveler’s Rest.

Keenie Earl Boyd

Funeral services will be held Saturday, Jan. 21, 1 p.m. at the Hammond Free Will Baptist Church for Keenie Earl Boyd, 75, of Whitehouse, Ky., who passed away Thursday, Jan. 19, at his residence.
Mr. Boyd was born Jan. 28, 1930 in Johnson County, Ky., son of the late Earl Boyd and Una Williamson Boyd Blessing. He was a coal miner.
Surviving are one son, Kenneth Lee Boyd of Willow Springs, N.C.; one daughter, Sheila Meek of Whitehouse; two brothers, Billy Boyd of Hillsboro, Ohio, and Robert Joseph Boyd of Meally, Ky.; and two sisters, Sheila Alvis of Richmond, Va., and Nancy Cook of Louisa, Ky.
The service will be officiated by Isaac Rowland and Tommy Meade, with burial in the VanHoose cemetery at Whitehouse.

Nancy Jackson
1939-2006
Funeral services will be held Friday, Jan. 20, 1 p.m. at the Staffordsville Free Will Baptist Church for Nancy Jackson, 66, of Staffordsville, Ky., who passed away Monday, Jan. 16 at Pikeville Medical Center in Pikeville, Ky.
Mrs. Jackson was born June 6, 1939 in Beaumont, Texas. She was preceded in death by her mother, Eva, and step-father, Buck Westbrook. She and her husband Danny owned and operated Nancy’s Restaurant on Main Street in Paintsville for several years, and she also ran the deli at Foodland in King Addition until her retirement.
Surviving are her husband, Danny Jackson of Staffordsville, and several nieces and nephews.
The service will be officiated by the Revs. Wendell Ison and Doug Crider, with burial in the Jackson cemetery at Staffordsville.

Patsy V. Miller

Funeral services will be held today, Wednesday, April 5, 11 a.m. at the St. Michaels Catholic Church in Paintsville, Ky., for Patsy V. Miller, 74, of Paintsville, who passed away Saturday, April 1 at the U.K. Medical Center in Lexington, Ky.
Mrs. Miller was born February 14, 1932 in Johnson County, Ky., daughter of the late Roy and Bridget McCoart VanHoose. She was a medical clerk.
Surviving are one son, John Doug (Rita) Miller of Hager Hill, Ky.; two daughters, Martha Ann (Billy) Ward and Joyce Miller, both of Lexington; one sister, Mary Jo Blackburn of Pikeville, Ky.; and six grandchildren.
The service will be officiated by Father Hoppenjans, with burial in the Highland Memorial Park at Staffordsville, Ky.

Tackett Stambaugh

Funeral services were held Tuesday, April 4, 1 p.m. at Jones-Preston Funeral Home Chapel for Ruth Wallen Tackett Stambaugh, 78, of Paintsville, Ky., who passed away Friday, March 31 at the Letcher Manor Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Whitesburg, Ky.
Mrs. Stambaugh was born April 23, 1927 in Johnson County, Ky., daughter of the late William and Bessie Alma Persinger Wallen. She was retired from South Central Bell Telephone Company. She was also preceded in death by her husbands, Elmer Tackett and Lowell Garfield Stambaugh.
Surviving are one son, William Francis Tackett of Paintsville; two daughters, Myra Ellen Tackett of Oil Springs, Ky., and Lana Karen Greer of Jeremiah, Ky.; two step-brothers, Billy Fairchild of Bristol, Tenn., and Burns Fairchild of Frankfort, Ky.; four step-sisters, Rosemary Gearer of Wedgefield, S.C., Helen Frye of Chapel Hill, N.C., Anna Mae Picklesimer of Zanesville, Ohio, and Janet Louise Wallen of Jonesville, Ky.; and 14 grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
The service was officiated by Pete Grigsby, with burial in the Highland Memorial Park at Staffordsville, Ky.

Mary Elizabeth Trimble

Funeral services were held Saturday, March 18, 1 p.m. at the First Free Will Baptist Church in Paintsville, Ky., for Mary Elizabeth Trimble, 84, of Staffordsville, Ky., who passed away Wednesday, March 15 at Mountain Manor Nursing Home in Paintsville.
Mrs. Trimble was born May 28, 1921, daughter of the late Ballard “Son” and Bertha McCloud Fairchild. She was a salesclerk with Hobbs 5 & 10 Cent Store in Paintsville. She was also preceded in death by one son, Davis Reed Trimble Jr., and one sister, Irene Clatos.
Surviving are her husband, Davis Reed Trimble of Paintsville; two sons, Jackie Trimble of Paintsville and Robert Trimble of Meally, Ky.; three daughters, Virginia B. Pelphrey of New Carlisle, Ohio, Janie Howard of Nicholasville, Ky., and Debra Ward of Paintsville; one sister, Pauline Burnett of Barboursville, W.Va.; and 10 grandchildren, three step-grandchildren, and 21 great-grandchildren.
The service was officiated by the Revs. Larry Blair and Jim McKenzie, with burial in the Reed cemetery on Rt. 580 at Staffordsville, Ky.

Susie Murphy Ward

Funeral services were held Sunday, March 19 at the Jones-Preston Funeral Home for Susie Murphy Ward, 93, of Wit-tensville, Ky., who passed away Thursday, March 16 at Salyersville Health Care Center in Salyersville, Ky.
Mrs. Ward was born Sept. 24, 1912 in Johnson County, Ky., daughter of the late Henry and Julie Meadows Murphy. She was a homemaker. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Sampson Ward, and one son, Lowell Thomas Ward.
Surviving are two sons, Sampson Ward Jr. of California and Arthur Wayne Ward; two daughters, Alice Lell VanHoose of Wittensville and Julie Marie Blevins Massie of Springfield, Ohio; and seven grandchildren and several great-grandchildren.
The service was officiated by James Kelly Caudill, with burial in the Stambaugh cemetery at Stambaugh, Ky.

Funeral services were held Sunday, March 12, 2 p.m. at the First Christian Church in Paintsville, Ky., for Gearldine Hickman Pittman, 81, of Paintsville, who passed away Wednesday, March 8 at Paul B. Hall Regional Medical Center in Paintsville.
Mrs. Pittman was born April 21, 1924 in Johnson County, Ky., daughter of the late Fred Burns and Numia Patrick Hickman. She was a retired insurance agent.
Surviving are her husband, Elzie Thomas Pittman of Paintsville; one son, Joseph David Pittman of Lexington, Ky.; one daughter, Janice K. Pittman (Maurice) Mire of Paintsville; and one sister, Deanna Jean Falcon of Thibodaux, La.
The service was officiated by Wesley D. Stedtefeld, with entombment at the Highland Memorial Park at Staffordsville, Ky.
