Funeral services were held Friday, May 15, at 2 p.m. at the Lakeside Christian Church, Lakeside Park, for Gladys Green, 88, of Walton, who passed away May 12 at Good Samaritan Hospital, Cincinnati, Ohio.
She was the daughter of the late Charlie M. and Della Cox Hamilton. She was retired from the Johnson County School System.
She was also preceded in death by her husband, Ova Green.
She was survived by one daughter, Geraldine (Gerri) Miracle, Walton; two granddaughters, two grandsons; two great granddaughters and three great grandsons.
Burial was at Forest Lawn Memorial Park, Erlanger.

Brody Wright

Funeral services were held Sunday, May 17, at 2 p.m. in the Chapel of the Phelps & Son Funeral Home, Paintsville, for Brody Wright, 29 days old, of Hager Hill, who passed away Thursday, May 14.
He is survived by his parents Mike Wright and Genia McCarty of Hager Hill; one brother, Sammy Wright of Convoy, Ohio; one sister, Leslie Jo Wright, of Hager Hill; his maternal grandparents, Gene and Eva McCarty of Hager Hill; his paternal grandparents James “Boogie” Kestner of Hager hill and Dedria Stambaugh of Paintsville.
Burial was at the McCarty Family cemetery at Oil Springs.

Jessie Murray
1935-2009
Funeral services were held Sunday, May 17, at 2 p.m. at the Preston Funeral Home Chapel for Jessie Murray, 73, Paintsville, who passed away Thursday, May 14, at St. Joseph Hospital in Lexington.
She was born Aug. 13, 1935, in Wheelwright, daughter of the late John and Maxie Parson LeMaster.
She was also preceded in death by her husband Beverly Murray.
She is survived by one son, James Henry Davis III, Winchester; three daughters, Judy Goble, Sitka, Jacquline Messer, Lexington, and Joyce Lynn McKenzie, Richmond; one brother, Frank LeMaster, Baltimore, Md.; one sister, Joan Edlow, Frankfort; six grandchildren and four great grandchildren.
The service was conducted by Teddy Preston with burial in the Highland Memorial cemetery at Staffordsville.

Herma Louise Colvin

Funeral services will be held today, Wednesday, May 20, at 11 a.m., in the Chapel of Phelps & Son Funeral Home for Herma Louise Colvin, 69, of Paintsville, who passed away Saturday, May 16, at her home.
She was born April 27, 1940 in Floyd County, daughter of the late Cecil and Vera Preston Taylor.
She was also preceded in death by her husband, Kenneth Colvin; one brother, James Taylor; and one sister, Anna Ray Taylor.
She is survived by one son, Michael Dean, of Paintsville; three brothers, Glenn, Harold and Randall Taylor, all of Paintsville; one sister, Phyllis Sublett, Pikeville.
The service will be conducted by Larry Blair, with burial to follow in the family cemetery at Auxier.

Myrtle M. Conley

Funeral services were held Thursday, May 14, at 1 p.m. at the New Bethel Free Will Baptist Church for Myrtle M. Conley, 84, of Leander, who passed away Sunday, May 10, at Highlands Regional Medical Center in Prestonsburg.
She was born Nov. 7, 1924, in Johnson County, daughter of the late William Henry and Ora Ramey Spears.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Tom Conley.
She is survived by two sons, Paul Spears, Paintsville, and James David Conley, Leander; three daughters, Rita Kay Hackworth, West Van Lear, Carolyn Sue Gossman, Alvada, Ohio, and Melanie Fenstermaker, Sandusky, Ohio; two brothers, Dean Spears, Leander, and Huey Spears, Plymouth, Ohio; and two sisters, Neva Rodriguez and Billy Ann Hinkle, both of Willard, Ohio..
The service was conducted by Donald Caudill, Harry L. Fenstermaker and Joe Scott, with burial in the Price Cemetery, Oil Springs.

Kimberly Sue Tackett

Funeral services were held Monday, May 12, at 2 p.m. at the Childers Funeral Home Chapel at Meally for Kimberly Sue Tackett, 37, of Thealka, who passed away May 8, at her residence.
She was born Feb. 17, 1971 in Johnson County, daughter of the late Thomas Lee and Hattie Kestner.
She was also preceded in death by three brothers.
She is survived by her mother; her husband George Tackett Jr.; two sons, Cody Allen Tackett and Daniel Justin Tackett; three brothers, Charlie, Bruce Allen and Kenneth Wesley; and three sisters, Glenda Sue Golden, Jennifer Lee LeMaster and Bonnie Jean Jaynes.
The service was conducted by Steve Hazelett and Steve Rose, with burial at the Estep Family cemetery at Joe’s Creek, Flat Gap.

Funeral services were held Tuesday, May 19, at 4 p.m. at the Childers Funeral Home Chapel at Meally for William Homer Fannin, 41, of Meally, who passed away Saturday, May 16, at his residence.
He was bon May 23, 1967 in Johnson County, son of the late Arthur and Verina Walters Fannin.
He is survived by four brothers, Arthur, Jessie, Mark and Chris Fannin; six sisters, Josie VanHoose, Tammy Hensley, Sharon Mercado, Marjorie Goodwin, Linda Wheeler and Patricia Beach.
The service was officiated by Southie Fannin Jr. with burial at the Walters Family Cemetery, Sitka.

He was born Jan. 1, 1914 in Johnson County, son of the late Toma Lee and Melissa Smith Curtis.
