Funeral services were held Tuesday, Feb. 6, 11 a.m. at the Preston Funeral Home Chapel for Catheryn Rebecca Lemaster, 69, of Flat Gap, Ky., who passed away Sunday, Feb. 4 at Paul B. Hall Regional Medical Center in Paintsville, Ky.
Mrs. Lemaster was born Jan. 31, 1938 in Johnson County, Ky., daughter of the late Ozie and Anna Meade Webb. She was a member of the Low Gap United Baptist Church.
Surviving are her husband, Willis Lemaster of Flat Gap; four sons, Mike, Jimmy and Robbie Lemaster, all of Flat Gap, and Scottie Lemaster of Warsaw, Ind.; one daughter, Janice Cantrell of West Liberty, Ky.; three brothers, Darrell Webb of Flat Gap, Charlie Webb of Oil Springs, Ky., and Larry Webb of Coal Grove, Ohio; four sisters, Malta Curtis of Flat Gap, Alene Combs of Russell, Ky., Ruth Williams of South Shore, Ky., and Laura Gibbs of Raceland, Ky.; and six grandchildren.
The service was officiated by Paul E. Keaton, with burial in the family cemetery at Oil Springs.

Anna Marie Lemaster
1916-2007
Funeral services were held Saturday, Feb. 3, 11 a.m. at the Sitka Free Will Baptist Church for Anna Marie Lemaster, 90, of Cardington, Ohio, who passed away Wednesday, Jan. 31.
Mrs. Lemaster was born Dec. 3, 1916 in Johnson County, Ky., daughter of the late Wilson and Sarah Jamima Auxier Rice. She was also preceded in death by her husband, George Franklin Lemaster.
Surviving are two sons, Carl Lemaster of South Carolina and Cody Lemaster of Patastcala, Ohio; one daughter, Vickie Edwards of Edison, Ohio; and 12 grandchildren, 27 great-grandchildren, two step-grandchildren, eight step-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandchild.
The service was officiated by James Kelly Caudill and Mark Tuggle, with burial in the Johnson County Memorial cemetery at Staffordsville, Ky.

David K. Thomas
1960-2007
Funeral services were held Tuesday, Feb. 6, 12:30 p.m. at the Campbell Funeral Home in Albany, Ky., for David K. Thomas, 47, of Albany, formerly of Paintsville, Ky., who passed away Sunday, Feb. 4 at Clinton County Hospital.
Mr. Thomas was preceded in death by his father, George R. Thomas.
Surviving are his mother, Geneva Miller Thomas of Albany; one brother, George (Lisa) Jr. Thomas of West Liberty, Ky.; one sister, Sherri Susan (Ron) Elkins of Nicholasville, Ky.; and three nephews and one great-nephew.
The service was officiated by Bros. Tommy Sexton and Bob Sawer, with burial in the Hillcrest Cemetery.

Howard Charles Borden Sr.
1922-2007
Funeral services will be held in Michigan for Howard Charles Borden Sr., 84, of Paintsville, Ky., who passed away Sunday, Feb. 4 at Mountain Manor Nursing Home in Paintsville.
Mr. Borden was born Oct. 12, 1922 in Elkton, Md., son of the late Edward Asa and Carrie Secor Borden. He was retired from General Motors and served with the U.S. Navy during WWII. He was also preceded in death by his wife, Patricia Ann Allard Borden.
Surviving are one son, Edward C. (Delinda) Borden Jr. of Louisa, Ky.; one daughter, Leslie Carolyn Borden of Merrill, Mich.; one brother, Duane S. Borden of Fort Worth, Texas; one sister, Sue Borden Pfaffenberger of South Point, Ohio; and four grandchildren.
Burial will be in Saginaw, Mich.

Margie Lee Ward Morrison
1923-2007
Funeral services were held Saturday, Feb. 3, 2 p.m. at the Auxier Free Will Baptist church for Margie Lee Ward Morrison, 83, of Auxier, Ky., who passed away Thursday, Feb. 1 at Highlands Regional Medical Center in Prestonsburg, Ky.
Mrs. Morrison was born March 29, 1923, daughter of the late Jefferson Ward and Rosa Lilly. She was a homemaker. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Jack Morrison.
Surviving are six daughters, Jeanie Perry of Auxier, Geraldine Wells of Allen, Ky., Kathleen Butcher and Carol Fannin, both of Van Lear, Ky., Lucy Woods of Columbus, Ohio, and Elizabeth Williams of Florida; four sons, William and Greg Morrison, both of Auxier, Roger Morrison of Paintsville, Ky., and Melvin “Bud” Morrison of Lexington, Ky.; one sister, Marsha Goshorn of Tennessee; and 30 grandchildren and 26 great-grandchildren.
The service was officiated by Pastor Bobby Joe Spencer, Bro. Shane Powers and Calvin Setser, with burial in the Morrison Family cemetery in Auxier.

Oscar Jason Gray
1927-2007
Oscar Jason Gray, 79, of Wittensville, Ky., passed away Thursday, Feb. 1 at J.J. Jordan Geriatric Center in Louisa, Ky.
Mr. Gray was born Oct. 10, 1927 in Paris, Ky., son of the late Willie Reynolds and Bruce Gray Sr. He was a farmer. He was also preceded in death by his wife, Brenda Mullins Gray, and one sister, Nora McClay.
Surviving are one son, Danny Mullins of Ohio; two daughters, Carol Gray of Wittensville and Judy Fryman of Cynthiana, Ky.; two brothers, Bruce Gray Jr. of California and David Pelfrey of Ohio; four sisters, Effie Bryant of Florida, Betty Morris of Kentucky, and Patsy Peters and Barbara Hundley, both of Lexington, Ky.; and 11 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.

Anna Ruth Daniels

Funeral services were held Saturday, March 3, 11 a.m. at the Jones-Preston Funeral Home Chapel for Anna Ruth Daniels, 85, of Nippa, Ky., who passed away Thursday, March 1 at Paul B. Hall Regional Medical Center in Paintsville, Ky.
Mrs. Daniels was born May 21, 1921 in Johnson County, Ky., daughter of the late Vina Belcher and Jeff Daniels Jr. She was a homemaker. She was also preceded in death by her husband, William Daniels.
Surviving are three sons, Dallas and Glen Daniels, both of Nippa, and William Daniels of Florida; one daughter, Patricia Ann Wright of Paintsville; one sister, Sara Browning of Georgia; and 12 grandchildren and several great-grandchildren.
The service was officiated by James Kelly Caudill, with burial in the Daniels Family cemetery at Nippa.

Funeral services were held Tuesday, March 6, 11 a.m. at the Wilson Funeral Home for Edith Hackney Miller, 85, of Charley, Ky., who passed away Saturday, March 3.
Mrs. Miller was born April 3, 1921 in Johnson County, Ky., daughter of the late Charles H. and Zee Hackney. She was a homemaker. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Jerome Miller;, and five sisters and seven brothers. She was a member of the Bells Chapel Church and Eastern Star of Lowmansville, Ky.
Surviving are one daughter, Emma Jean (Paul) Maynard of Louisa, Ky.; one son, Jerome E. (Marsheila) Miller of Charley; one sister, Jacqualine Young of Columbus, Ohio; three brothers, Paul and Jimmy Hackney, both of Lowmansville, and Edgil Hackney of Sitka, Ky.; and six grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
The service was officiated by the Rev. Willie Gene Hayes, with burial in the Greenlawn cemetery in Louisa.
