Funeral services were held Monday, Jan. 12, 1 p.m. at the Hager Hill Free Will Baptist Church for Richard Delmar Castle, 29, of Stambaugh, Ky., who passed away Friday, Jan. 9 at his residence.
Mr. Castle was born July 19, 1979 in Paintsville, Ky., son of James Ernest and Nancy Irene Burkes Castle of Tutor Key, Ky. He was a tree climber with Connelley Cable Inc. He was also preceded in death by one brother, Mike Castle, and one sister, Sherry Lynn Castle.
Surviving are his wife, Michelle Rawlins Castle of Stambaugh; two sons, Richard Michael and William Thomas Lee Castle, both of Stambaugh; five brothers, Russell and Frank Castle, both of River, Ky., Rick Castle of Sitka, Ky., Jackie Castle of Wittensville, Ky., and Rudy Castle of Johnson County, Ky.; four sisters, Judy Kay Ratliff of Barnetts Creek, Ky., Julie Jones of Paintsville, Emma Castle of River, Ky., and Bonnie Adkins of Buffalo, W.Va.
The service was officiated by Ronnie Spriggs, with burial in the Castle Family cemetery at Tutor Key.

Eulah Williams Cantrell
1930-2009
Funeral services will be held today, Friday, Jan. 16, 11 a.m. at the Jones-Preston Funeral Home Chapel for Eulah Williams Cantrell, 78, of Leander, Ky., who passed away Monday, Jan. 12 at her residence.
Mrs. Cantrell was born Dec. 5, 1930 in Johnson County, Ky., daughter of the late Everett and Grace Carpenter Williams. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Wilbur Cantrell. She was a homemaker.
Surviving are two daughters, Shirley Lynn (Marvin) Adkins of Leander, and Bonnie Marie (Benny) Adkins of Van Lear, Ky.; and three grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
The service will be officiated by Toby Johnson and Harold Conley, with burial following in the Johnson County Memorial cemetery at Staffordsville, Ky.

Daniel Ray Jarrell

Funeral services will be held Saturday, Jan. 17, 11 a.m. at the Phelps & Son Funeral Home Chapel for Daniel Ray Jarrell, 24, of Prestonsburg, Ky., who passed away Wednesday, Jan. 14.
Mr. Jarrell was born Nov. 22, 1984 in Floyd County, Ky., son of Danny Jarrell of Hager Hill, Ky., and the late Helen Jarrell.
Surviving in addition to his father are his step-mother, Pam Jarrell; one brother, David Fraley of Prestonsburg; two sisters, Kelly Jarrell of Paintsville, Ky., and Kaylee Jarrell of Hager Hill.
Burial will be in the Jarrell Family cemetery at Cow Creek.

Billy Hensley
1945-2009
Funeral services were held Thursday, Feb. 12, 1 p.m. at the Paintsville Funeral Home Chapel for Billy Hensley, 63, of Paintsville, Ky., who passed away Monday, Feb. 9 at his residence.
Mr. Hensley was born May 16, 1945 in Magoffin County, Ky., son of the late Edward and Madgie Howard Hensley. He was a carpenter.
Surviving are his wife, Gerri Blanton Hensley of Paintsville; two sons, Wallace Hensley of West Liberty, Ky., and Richard Williams of Columbus, Ohio; three daughters, Betty L. Keeton of Paintsville, Madge Renea Minix of Salyersville, Ky., and Kathy A. Yeager of Hammon, Ind.; one sister, Sarah Emily Adams of Salyersville; one brother, Zeke Hensley of West Liberty; and nine grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren.
The service was officiated by the Revs. James K. Caudill and Jimmy Adkins, with burial in the Johnson County Memorial cemetery at Staffordsville, Ky.

Josephine Whitaker

Funeral services were held Sunday, Feb. 8, 2 p.m. at the Phelps & Son Funeral Home Chapel for Josephine Whitaker, 80, of East Point, Ky., who passed away Friday, Feb. 6 at Highlands Regional Medical Center in Prestonsburg, Ky.
Mrs. Whitaker was born June 9, 1928 in Floyd County, Ky., daughter of the late Cleveland and Alta Blair Whitaker. She was also preceded in death by one brother, Herbert Whitaker, and one sister, Opal Whitaker. She was a retired school teacher.
Surviving are one brother, Johnny Whitaker of Salyersville, Ky.
The service was officiated by Bobby Joe Spence, Richard Green, and Clifford Spencer, with burial in the Whitaker Family cemetery at East Point.

Kruger Daniel Jr.

Funeral services were held Thursday, Feb. 5, 1 p.m. at the Jones-Preston Funeral Home Chapel for Kruger Daniel Jr., 50, of Paintsville, Ky., who passed away Sunday, Feb. 1 at Paul B. Hall Regional Medical Center in Paintsville.
Mr. Daniel was born April 4, 1858 in Johnson County, Ky., son of Lymon Hensley Daniel of Paintsville and the late Kruger Daniel.
Surviving are his wife, Darlene Blair Daniel of Paintsville; two sons, Kruger Anthony Daniel of Paintsville and Joshua Ryan Daniel of Thelma, Ky.; one sister, Carolyn Selvage of Paintsville; and a host of nieces and nephews.
The service was officiated by Roger Thornsbury, with burial in the Highland Memorial Park cemetery at Staffordsville, Ky.

Louella Rediford

Funeral services were held Saturday, Feb. 7, 11 a.m. at the Preston Funeral Chapel for Louella Rediford, 82, of Paintsville, Ky., who passed away Thursday, Feb. 5 at Clark County Hospital in Winchester, Ky.
Mrs. Rediford was born July 24, 1926 in Johnson County, Ky., daughter of the late Earl and Savillar Fairchild Daniels. She was also preceded in death by her husband, John Rediford.
Surviving are two sons, James Rediford of Winchester, and John Rediford of Paintsville; two brothers, Paul A. Daniels of Nippa, Ky., and Earl Daniels Jr. of Thealka, Ky.; and five grandchildren.
The service was officiated by Bob Lyons, with burial in the Mayo cemetery at Paintsville.

Mona Jo Ingram Schafstall

Memorial services were held Sunday, Feb. 8, 2 p.m. at the Jones-Preston Funeral Home Chapel for Mona Jo Ingram Schafstall, 49, of Oil Springs, Ky., who passed away Thursday, Feb. 5 at her residence.
Mrs. Schafstall was born Jan. 19, 1960 in Radford, Va., daughter of Fredrick W. and Doris Farmer Ingram of Huntersville, N.C.
Surviving are her husband, Timothy Allen Schafstall of Oil Springs; two daughters, Vanessa Jo Schafstall of Catlettsburg, Ky., and Maria Jo Schafstall of Oil Springs; two brothers, Robert and Fredrick Jr. Ingram, both of North Carolina; and one sister, Susan Elizabeth Dyer of Denver, N.C.
