Funeral services were held Thursday, March 5, 11 a.m. at the Peaceful Valley Church for Willis Castle, 71, of Red Bush, Ky., who passed away Monday, March 2 at Cabell Huntington Hospital in Huntington, W.Va.
Mr. Castle was born Aug. 12, 1937 in Johnson County, Ky., son of the late John and Alkia Trimble Castle.
Surviving are his wife, Ethel Ferguson Castle of Red Bush; two sons, David and Robert Castle, both of Red Bush; one daughter, Linda Caudill of Red Bush; two brothers, William Castle of Johnson City, Tenn., and Charles Phipps of South Carolina; one sister, Judy Ferguson of Red Bush; and nine grandchildren.
The service was officiated by Jeffery Montgomery and Buell Webb, with burial in the Castle cemetery at Red Bush.

David L. Williamson
1941-2009
Funeral services will be held today, Friday, March 6, 1 p.m. at the Phelps & Son Funeral Home Chapel in Paintsville, Ky., for David L. Williamson, 67, of Punta Gorda, Fla., formerly of Johnson County.
Mr. Williamson was born May 27, 1941 in Johnson County, Ky., son of the late Charlie and Mae McCloud Williamson.
Suriving are his wife, Betty Williamson of Punta Gorda; his son, Tony Williamson of Staffordsville, Ky.; one sister, Sue Sublett of Paintsville; and one granddaughter.
The service will be officiated by Donald “Doc” Caudill, with burial following in the Wilson cemetery at Boons Camp, Ky.

Addie Conley
1932-2009
Funeral services were held Tuesday, April 28, 1 p.m. at the Paintsville Funeral Home Chapel for Addie Conley, 77, of Stambaugh, Ky., who passed away Sunday, April 26 at St. Mary’s Hospital in Huntington, W.Va.
Mrs. Conley was born Jan. 27, 1932 at Staffordsville, Ky., daughter of the late Kelse and Lexie Lemaster Helton. She was a retired postmaster for the Stambaugh Post Office.
Surviving are her husband, Roy Willis Conley of Stambaugh; one son, Roy Dean (Barbara) Conley of West Liberty, Ky; one daughter, Alice Jane (Larry) Justice of Stambaugh; one brother Roy (Mary) Helton of Staffordsville; and two granddaughters.
The service was officiated by the Revs. Richard Williams and James K. Caudill, with burial in the Conley Family cemetery at Stambaugh.

Charles Raymond Fairchild
1944-2009
Funeral service were held Monday, April 27, 1 p.m. at the Phelps & Son Funeral Home Chapel for Charles Raymond Fairchild, 64, of Staffordsville, Ky., who passed away Thursday, April 23.
Mr. Fairchild was born October 26, 1944 in Johnson County, Ky., son of the late Raymond and Mary Blair Fairchild.
Surviving are his wife, Nancy Walters Fairchild of Staffordsville; one son, Timothy Fairchild of Huntsville, Ala.; three daughters, Pamela Kay VanHoose of East Point, Ky., Charlotte Ann Wallace of Hager Hill, Ky., and Rebecca Pelfrey of Staffordsville; five brothers, Herbert “Don” Fairchild of West Van Lear, Ky., Ulysses “Jake” Fairchild of Hager Hill, Paul and Ernie Fairchild, both of Paintsville, Ky., and Robert Fairchild of Richmond, Ky.; one sister, Judy Lafferty of Wabash, Ind.; and eight grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
The service was officiated by Gerald Fairchild, Lee Terry, and Gerald Fairchild, with burial in the Highland Memorial Park at Staffordsville.

Elmer Ray Mills
1952-2009
Funeral services were held Tuesday, April 28, 11 a.m. at the Phelps & Son Funeral Home Chapel for Elmer Ray Mills, 56, of Inez, Ky., who passed away Saturday, April 25 at Highlands Regional Medical Center in Prestonsburg, Ky.
Mr. Mills was born May 18, 1952 in Martin County, Ky., son of Vicie Dalton Mills and the late Floyd Mills.
Surviving in addition to his mother are his wife, Susan Amburgey Mills of Inez; one son, Elmer Ray Mills II of Inez; two daughters, Sherri Mills and Susan Ray Mills, both of Inez; one brother, Floyd Mills Jr. of Inez; three sisters, Iva Jude, Sheila Crum and Jackie Galer, all of Inez; and four grandchildren.
The service was officiated by Albert Home, with burial in the Mills Family cemetery at Turkey, Ky.

Elmer ‘Sonny’ Castle
Elmer “Sonny” Castle, age 85, of Mt. Gilead, Ohio died early Monday morning, April 27, 2009 at his residence. He was born in Nippa, Ky. on February 8, 1924 to the late Noah and Katie (Castle) Castle.
Elmer worked in the shipyards in Jefferson, Ind. for 2 years prior to serving in the United States Navy in 106th and 90th Seabees battalions during World War II. After the war he returned to work at the shipyards and then worked in the coal mines in Seco, Ky. before moving to Ohio where he worked as a welder at HPM for 42 years before retiring. From 1970 to 1976 he coached Little League in Mt. Gilead, and was proud of his team being the League Champions in 1972. He was an avid University of Kentucky basketball fan. Sonny was a member of the National Rifle Association and attended Edison Enterprise Baptist Church.
His wife, Sally Dean Hayes Castle, whom he married
June 19, 1957 in Paintsville, Ky. survives in Mt. Gilead.
Surviviors also include two sons, Elmer D. Castle and David B. Castle, both of Mt. Gilead, and a sister, Louella Conrad of Michigan.
In addition to his parents, Elmer was preceded in death by nine brothers and a sister.
Friends may call Wednesday, April 29, 2 p.m.-8 p.m. at the Edison Enterprise Baptist Church. Visitation will also be held on Friday, May 1, 2 p.m.-8 p.m. at the Jones-Preston Funeral Home in Paintsville, Ky., where funeral services will be held Saturday, May 2, 11 a.m. Pastor Eddie Colegrove of Edison Enterprise Baptist Church will officiate and burial will follow at Highland Memorial Park in Staffordsville, Ky. with full military honors.

Funeral services were held Tuesday, April 28, 11 a.m. at the Preston Funeral Home Chapel for Guy Hershel Baldwin, 93, of Oil Springs, Ky.
Surviving are his wife, Merla Blanton Baldwin of Oil Springs; two sons, James Hershel and Wayde Baldwin, both of Oil Springs; three daughters, Emma Katherine Sheppard and Stella Pierce, both of Ohio, and Elizabeth Blanton of Volga, Ky.; one sister, Edna Arms of Michigan; and 11 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren.

Madonna Jeannine Fishbaugh
1929-2009
Private family services were held Thursday, April 23, for Madonna Jeannine Fishbaugh, 80, of North Webster, Ind., who passed away Tuesday, April 21 at Goshen General Hospital.
Mrs. Fishbaugh was born Jan. 12, 1929 in Huntington, Ind., daughter of the late Damon and Mercedes Moran Voght. She was a homemaker and she was involved with the Kosciusko County Home Extension. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Clark Fishbaugh.
Surviving are three sons, Michael (Shirlie) Fishbaugh of East Point, Ky., Stephen (Brenda) Fishbaugh of Fort Wayne, Ind., and Ronald Fishbaugh of North Webster, Ind.; one daughter, Linda (Richard) Waltz of Pierceton, Ind.; one sister, Diane (Richard) Miller of Andrews, Ind.; and five grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.
The service was officiated by the Rev. Jeremy Myers, with burial in the North Webster Cemetery, Mock Addition.
