Funeral services were held Monday, May 25, at the Preston Funeral Home Chapel, Paintsville, for Dorothy Music, 76, of Thelma, who passed away May 22 at her residence.
She was born Aug. 13, 1932 in Johnson County, daughter of the late Elbridge and Nola Daniels Pack.
She is survived by one son, James Eric Daniels; four daughters, Kathy Schott, North Vernon, Ind., Jeannie McKenzie, Wittensville, Rita Daniel and Pamela Back, both of Thelma; one brother, Paul Pack, Paintsville; and 12 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren.
Services were conducted by Harry Neal Frisby with burial in the Pack Cemetery, Williamsport.
Arrangements under the director of Preston Funeral Home, Paintsville.

Wilbure Lee Horne
1942-2009
Funeral services were held Saturday, May 23, at the Jones-Preston Funeral Home Chapel for Wilbure Lee Horne, 67, Staffordsville, who passed away May 20 at his residence.
He was born May 11, 1942, in Johnson County, son of Albert “Buck” Horne and the late Ruby Gertrude Bowens Horne. He was a coal truck driver.
He was also preceded in death by one sister, Bureda Sue Collier.
He is survived by five brothers Allen Horne, Hager Hill, Bryan Horne, Piketon, Ohio, Chris Horne, Falcon, Donnie Lee Horne, Staffordsville, and John Nealy, Lucasville, Ohio; Three daughters, Anita Sexton and Donna Hall, both of Paintsville; Sandra Kay Waller, Sitka; one sister, Kay Howard, Springfield, Ohio; and 2 stepdaughters, 18 grandchildren and 7 great-grand children.
The service was conducted by Ray Pennington, with burial in the Horne Family Cemetery, Barnetts Creek.
Arrangements under the direction of Jones-Preston Funeral Home, Paintsville.

Edward Lee “Eddie” Deboard
1960-2009
Funeral services were held Aug. 2 at Evangelical Methodist Church, Sweetwater, Texas for Edward Lee “Eddie” Deboard, 49, of Sweetwater, who passed away July 30 at Scott & White Hospital, Temple, Texas.
He was born July 6, 1960 in Paintsville.
He is survived by his wife, Roxanne McKenzie Deboard, Sweetwater; one daughter, Nichole Deboard, Sweetwater, one son, Jesse (Kayla) Deboard, Burns Flat, Okla.; one brother, Ken Deboard, of Arizona; one sister, Susie VanHoose, Jeffersonville, Ind.; one sister-in-law Karen (Larry) Hamilton, Meally; and two grandchildren.
Services were conducted by Rev. William Mayo with burial at Garden of Memories.
Arrangements under the direction of McCoy Funeral Home, Sweetwater, Texas.

Donald Lemaster
1939-1970
Funeral services were held Aug. 17 at 12 p.m. at Phelps & Son Funeral Home Chapel for Donald Lemaster, 70, of Tutor Key, who passed away Aug. 15 at his home.
He was born April 12, 1939 in Johnson County, son of the late Dorsey and Easter Woods Lemaster.
He was also preceded in death by one brother, Ronald Lemaster.
He is survived by his wife, Deloris Lyons Lemaster; one son, Rickey Lemaster, Prestonsburg; two brothers, Paul Lemaster of Ohio, and Melvin Lemaster of Indiana; four sisters, Emma Greene, Doris Chapman, Helen Murray and Sharon Payne all of Ohio; and one grandson.
Services were conducted by Francis Rice, with burial at Highland Memorial Park, Staffordsville.
Arrangements under the direction of Phelps and Son Funeral Home, Paintsville.

Gary Wayne Young
1949-2009
Funeral services were held Friday, Aug. 14 at 10 a.m. at Preston Funeral Home Chapel for Gary Wayne Young, 60, of Paintsville, who passed away Aug. 12 at his residence.
He was born Jan. 23, 1949, in Williamson, W. Va., son of Lorene Blevins Young and the late Hershell Young.
He was a U.S. Army veteran and a security guard at Paul B. Hall Regional Medical Center.
Other than his mother, he is also survived by three brothers, Raymond Young, Owingsville, and Timothy Young and Hershell Young Jr., both of Van Lear; and two sisters, Loretta Bailey, Sitka, and Kathy Kretzer, Charleston, S. C.
The service was conducted by J. M. Scott, with burial in the family cemetery at Hager Hill.
Arrangements under the direction of Preston Funeral Home, Paintsville.

Bobby Estep
1929-2009
Funeral services were held Saturday, Aug. 15 at Peaceful Valley Church for Bobby Estep, 79, of Flat Gap, who passed away Aug. 11 at his residence.
He was born Sept. 14, 1929, in Johnson County, son of the late Walter and Neva Lee Cantrell Estep.
He was a mechanic for the state highway garage.
He is survived by his wife, Thelma Cisco Estep; five sons, James Estep, Ironton, Ohio, Willis Estep, Hager Hill, and Rocky Estep, Anthony Estep and Michael Estep, all of Flat Gap; and nine grandchildren, four step-grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren, 10 step-grandchildren, and two step-great grandchildren.
Services were conducted by Steve Rose, with burial in the McKenzie Cemetery, Flat Gap.
Arrangements under the direction of Preston Funeral Home, Paintsville.

Clara Jean Black Murray
1936-2009
Funeral services will be held Saturday, Aug. 22 at 1 p.m. at Wallace Funeral Home & Chapel, for Clara Jean Black Murray, 72, of Thelma, who passed away Aug. 16.
She was born Oct. 21, 1936, daughter of the late Randall and Myrtle Knight Black.
She was also preceded in death by one grandson, Dakota Austin Midkiff, one brother, Jack Black and one sister, Nancy Hineman.
She is survived by her husband, Paul Murray; one daughter, Sharon (Jim) Midkiff; one son, Tim (Veronica) Murray; one sister, Betty Shelton; two brothers, Tom Black and Bill (Aurelia) Black; and three grandchildren.
Services will be conducted by Rev. Dr. John Sauvage, with burial to follow in White Chapel Memorial Gardens.
Visitation will be Friday, Aug. 21, from 6-8 p.m. Arrangements under the direction of Wallace Funeral Home, Barboursville.

Ernest Ray Castle
1932-2007
Funeral services were held Wednesday, June 13, 2 p.m. in Levelland, Texas for Ernest Ray Castle, 74, of Levelland, who passed away Thursday, June 7 at his residence.
Mr. Castle was born June 27, 1932 at Van Lear, Ky., son of the late John and Alice Trimble Castle. He was also preceded in death by two brothers, Thomas and Robert Castle; four sisters, Billie Jean, Marcelene, Phyllis Castle, and Rebecca Fyffe; one son, Johnny Ray Castle; and one step-son, Roy Don Compton.
Surviving are his wife, Mary Castle; one step-son, Royce Agnew; two sons, William Henry and Chad Castle; two daughters, Mariann and Marleen; three brothers, Willis (Ethel) Castle of Red Bush, Ky., William A. (Sylvia) Castle of Tennessee, and Charles M. (Diane) Phipps of Oklahoma; one sister, Judy Ferguson of Red Bush; grandchildren and a host of nieces and nephews.
Arrangements under the direction of the Head Duarte Funeral Home of Levelland.
