Funeral services will be held today, Friday, June 15, 11 a.m. at the Preston Funeral Home Chapel for Ollie Alice Grim Stambaugh, 85, of Paramount, Calif., who passed away Sunday, June 10 in California.
Mrs. Stambaugh was born Oct. 17, 1921 in Johnson County, Ky., daughter of the late Faris and Malta Daniel Grim.
Surviving are three sons, James (Sue) Borders of Pico Rivera, Calif., Roger and Harry Stambaugh, both of Tutor Key, Ky.; four daughters, Sheila (Alvin) Stambaugh Arisohn of Anniston, Ala., Harweeth (Charlie) Stambaugh Cinammon and Connie Patrick, both of Cummings, Ga., and Delena Stambaugh of Fountain Valley, Calif.; one brother, Duel Grim of Sandusky, Ohio; three sisters, Katherine Green of Lexington, Ohio, Sue Hendricks of Willisburg, Ky., and Minnie Lee Young of Long Beach, Calif.; and 17 grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.
The service will be officiated by J.K. Caudill and Terry Conley, with burial in the Lakeview Memorial cemetery at Staffordsville, Ky.

Robert ‘Bob’ Meek
1932-2007
A memorial service will be held at a later date for Robert “Bob” Meek, 75, of Hawkinsville, Ga., who passed away June 7 in Hawkinsville.
Mr. Meek, a former resident of Johnson County, Ky., was the son of the late Bob and Bird Meek. He was employed for many years by the WSIP radio station as an announcer. He and Bill Barker were the voices of “The Bill and Bob Show”. He was also preceded in death by his first wife, Patricia Woods Meek.
Surviving are his wife, Pat Meek of Hawkinsville, and his daughter, Bobbi Lynn Meek of Lexington, Ky.

Dennis Edward Perkins
1973-2009
Graveside services were held Tuesday, Feb. 3, 11 a.m. at the Richmond cemetery at Paintsville, Ky., for Dennis Edward Perkins, 35, of Paintsville, who passed away Friday, Jan. 30 at his residence.
Mr. Perkins was born March 23, 1973 in Fayette County, Ky., son of George Edward Perkins and the late Margaret Louise Ratliff. He was a car detailer for Brown’s Auto.
Surviving in addition to his father are his wife, Dixie Michelle Ratliff; one son, Jordan Tyler Perkins of Paintsville; one daughter Megan Renee Perkins of Paintsville; one sister Laura Louise Perkins Sammons of Thelma, Ky.; step-mother, Patricia Perkins; and four nephews, three nieces and one grand nephew.

Jacquline Faye Witten
1981-2009
Funeral services were held Monday, Feb. 16, 1 p.m. at the Phelps & Son Funeral Home Chapel for Jacquline Faye Witten, 27, of Georgetown, Ky., formerly of Van Lear, Ky., who passed away Thursday, Feb. 12.
Ms. Witten was born Feb. 21, 1981 in Johnson County, Ky., daughter of Kenneth Witten of Georgetown and Sharon Lemaster McDavid of Hager Hill, Ky.
Surviving in addition to her parents are two sons, Adrian Paul and Cody Witten, and one daughter, Heaven Witten, all of Frankfort; two brothers, Kenneth Witten Jr. of Frankfort and Robert Witten of Paintsville; and three step-brothers, Gene and William Wilburn, and Mike Riddle, all of Frankfort.
The service was officiated by Robert McDavid and Farley Howard, with burial in the family cemetery at Van Lear.

Mildred Hatmaker Hitchcock

Funeral services were held Sunday, Feb. 15, 1 p.m. at the Jones-Preston Funeral Home Chapel for Mildred Hatmaker Hitchcock, 72, of Volga, Ky., who passed away Thursday, Feb. 12 at King’s Daughters Medical Center in Ashland, Ky.
Mrs. Hitchcock was born Jan. 18, 1937 in Smokey Junction, Tenn., daughter of the late Charlie and Tempie Keathley Hatmaker. She was a retired postmistress at the Volga Post Office.
Surviving are her husband, Sardis Hitchcock of Volga; two sons, Bruce Michael Hitchcock of Hager Hill, Ky., and Lee Allen Hitchcock of Volga; two daughters, Vicky Lee Fannin and Nina Marie Ratliff, both of Volga; two brothers, Eugene and Gilbert Hatmaker, both of Port Clinton, Ohio; six grandchildren, three great-grandchildren; two step-grandchildren and three step-great-granchildren; and one special niece.
The service was officiated by Denvil Mollette, with burial in the Hitchcock Family cemetery at Volga.

Jesse Lee Greene

Funeral services were held Saturday, Feb. 14, 1 p.m. at the Wheelwright Free Will Baptist Church for Jesse Lee Greene, 29, of Wheelwright, Ky., who passed away Wednesday, Feb. 11.
Mr. Greene was born Nov. 11, 1979 in Xenia, Ohio, son of Steven Lee and Robin Lawson Greene.
Surviving in addition to his parents are his wife, Susan Branham Greene; one son, Colton Lee Greene of Wheelwright, and Hazel Collins (Chris) Howell, a child he raised as his own; grandparents, Delmer and Mary Greene, and Denver and Leora Davis, all of Flat Gap, Ky. and Ernie Lawson of Corbin, Ky., and Betty Lou Ausher of Jellico, Tenn. ; and two “grandchildren” Christian Alexander Sean and Rebekka Shayli Howell.
The service was officiated by Louis Ferrari, with burial in the Newman cemetery at Hi Hat, Ky.

Funeral services were held Tuesday, March 17, 11 a.m. at the Tom’s Creek Free Will Baptist Church for Donnie Meadows, 58, of Flat Gap, Ky., who passed away Friday, March 13 at his residence.
Mr. Meadows was born June 15, 1950 in Johnson County, Ky., son of the late Vencil and Ruby Williamson Meadows. He was a millwright with D & D Machinery and Millwright.
Surviving are his wife, Cathy Preston Meadows of Flat Gap; one son, John Daniels of Florence, Ky.; one daughter, Courtney Grossel of Palm Coast, Fla.; two brothers, Tim Meadows of Lexington, Ky., and Michael Meadows of Staffordsville, Ky.
The service was officiated by James K. Caudill and Larry Joe Meadows, with burial in the Lakeview Memorial cemetery at Staffordsville, Ky.

Elmo Mollett

Funeral services will be held today, Wednesday, March 18, 2 p.m. at the Phillip Cove Free Will Baptist Church for Elmo Mollett, 60, of Tomahawk, Ky., who passed away Sunday, March 15 at Signature Health Care in Pikeville, Ky.
Mr. Mollett was born July 17, 1948 in Martin County, Ky., son of the late Ked and Addie Dixon Mollett. He was a construction worker.
Surviving are two sons, Steve Mollett of Columbus, Ohio, and Joshua Mollett of Indiana; three daughters, Peggy Ooten and Emily Mollett, both of Columbus, and Amber Mollett of Ind.; four brothers, Freddy Mollett of Boons Camp, Ky., Edgar Mollett of Blaine, Ky., Stanley Mollett of Tomahawk, and Ronnie Mollett of Florida; three sisters, Pauline Plaugher and Flora Hodge, both of Florida, and Jenny Spence of Tomahawk.; and two grandchildren.
Burial will be in the Mollett cemetery at Blaine, Ky.

Funeral services were held Tuesday, March 17, 1 p.m. at the Preston Funeral Home Chapel for Everett Blair, 63, of Leander, Ky., who passed away Sunday, March 15 at his residence.
Mr. Blair was born Feb. 14, 1946 in Johnson County, Ky., son of the late Crate and Sona Powers Blair.
Surviving are his wife, Linda Meek Blair of Leander; one son, Mike Blair of Leander; three daughters, Sheila Crum and Lisa Blair, both of Meally, Ky., and Missy Davis of River, Ky.; one brother, Glen Blair of Leander; and two sisters, Betty Music and Kathy Hall, both of East Point, Ky.
The service was officiated by Harry Frisby, with burial in the Highland Memorial cemetery at Staffordsville, Ky.
