Funeral services will be held Thursday, May 7, at 1 p.m. at Jones-Preston Funeral Home Chapel for Jeffery Lee Wilson, 54, of East Point who passed away Monday, May 4, at Pikeville Medical Center, Pikeville.
Mr. Wilson was born Aug. 9, 1954 in Cambridge, Ohio, son of the late Donald and Lila Yarnell Wilson.
He was also preceded in death by one grandson, Nicholas Wilson.
He is survived by his wife, Wanda George Wilson; two sons, Brandon Daniel Wilson, East Point, Joshua Lee (Melissa) Wilson, Pikeville; one daughter, Heather Jeannine White, East Point; one brother, Greg Wilson, Cambridge, Ohio; one half -sister, Pam Smith, Ohio; one granddaughter; and one great-grandchild.
The service will be officiated by Sam Crawford, with burial in Gethsemane Gardens, Prestonsburg.

Betty J. Morgan
Funeral services were held Sunday, May 3, at 2 p.m. at First Christian Church in Paintsville, for Betty J. Morgan of Paintsville, who passed away Wednesday, April 29, at Mountain Manor Nursing Home, Paintsville.
She was the daughter of the late Ezra T. “Doak” Sherman and Virginia Adams Sherman. She was a registered nurse.
She was also preceded in death by her husband, Charles E. Morgan.
She is survived by two sons, Kenny (Kathy) Morgan, Panama City, Fla., and Chuck Morgan, Paintsville; one grandson, Matthew Morgan, Orlando, Fla.; and one great-grandchild.
The service was officiated by Wesley Stedtefeld, with burial in the Highland Memorial Park, Staffordsville.

Gloria June Grim VanHoose
1924-2009
Funeral services were held at Preston Funeral Home in Paintsville for Gloria June Grim VanHoose.
Mrs. VanHoose was the daughter of Milt and Audry Grim, the oldest of 11 children.
She was also preceded in death by one daughter, Judith A. Alford.
Surviving are two sons, Larry W. VanHoose of Fenton, Mich. and Roger D. VanHoose of Dearborn Heights, Mich.; four daughters, Linda L. Arden of Winter Springs, Fla., Marquitta K. Conn of Inkster, Mich.; and Wanda J. Hamel of Taylor, Mich. She is also survived by 15 grandchildren, 25 great-grandchildren and one great-great grandchild.

Joann Haney
1938-2009
Funeral services were held Thursday, April 30, 11 a.m. at the Salamonie Free Will Baptist Church in Huntington, Ind., for Joann Haney, 70, of Huntington, who passed away Monday, April 27 at Lutheran Hospital in Fort Wayne, Ind.
Mrs. Haney was born July 24, 1938 in Paintsville, Ky., daughter of the late Ballard and Mary Jane Rowe Ward. She was owner of the Small World Day Care in Huntington and a member of the Columbia City Free Will Baptist Church. She was also preceded in death by four brothers, Claude, Lester, Clark, and Leroy Ward; and six sisters, Bessie Bevins, Prudy Brackett, Gurth Hamilton, Fannie Tackett, Hattie Curtis, and Cindy Murray.
Surviving are her husband, Archie Haney of Huntington; one son, Archie R. Haney (Deb); one daughter, Mary Waters; and one sister, Hester (Jim) Nunely, all of Huntington; and four grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
The service was officiated by Pastors Bronk Conley and Bill Smith, with burial in the Pilgrim’s Rest cemetery in Huntington.

Vesta “Christine” Meade
1939-2009
Funeral services were held Saturday, May 2, at 1 p.m. at Jones-Preston Funeral Home Chapel for Vesta “Christine” Meade, 69, of Paintsville, who passed away Friday, May 1, at Mountain Manor Nursing Home, Paintsville.
Mrs. Meade was born Nov. 17, 1939 in Johnson County, daughter of the late Mart and Novia Cantrell Adams.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Adam Meade, and one brother, Willard Adams; and one sister, Lestia Adams.
She is survived by one brother, James Adams, Barnetts Creek; four sisters, Esta Penix, Hager Hill, Linda Mollette, Ohio, Edna Ramey, Flat Gap, and Pauline Jaynes, Falcon; six step-children and several step-grandchildren.
The service was officiated by Jamie Adams, with burial in the Highland Memorial Park, Staffordsville. Arrangements under the direction of Jones-Preston Funeral Home, Paintsville.
Lillian M. Trimble Dick
Lillian M. Trimble Dick passed away on May 1, 2009 at 4 p.m. in Huntington, W.V., where she made her home for many years.
She was born on March 20, 1922 in Johnson County to the late Joseph and Ida Caudill Trimble. She worked as a bookkeeper for Pepsi Cola Bottling Company for 33 years before retiring.
She married
Thomas R. Dick on August 25, 1956, from this union they were given two sons Larry Ray Dick and Garry Lee Dick, two daughters in law Gloria Sandon Dick and Pamela Dickerson Dick, three grandchildren and three great grandchildren.
Lillian has gone home to be with her two dear sisters Lilia J. Arrowood and Lola Damron Puckett and her six brothers: Conroy, McCoy, Palmer, Wallace, Clement (Pete), and Swannie Lee Trimble and all of husbands and wives.
She also leaves many nieces and nephews, friends and neighbors to morn her passing. She was a faithful member of the United Baptist Faith since her conversion and Baptism in January of 1936. As per her request services will be presided over by Elder Ted J. Asbury, Elder Flem Allen Arrowood and Elder Larry Davis.
Funeral services will be held at the Reger Funeral Chapel on Monday, May 4, 2009 at 11:00 am, burial will follow at the Spring Valley memory gardens in Huntington, WV.

Earl H. VanHoose
1920-2009
Funeral services will be held Saturday, May 9, at 2 p.m. at the Preston Funeral Home in Paintsville, Ky. for Earl H. VanHoose, 88, who passed away Sunday, May 3, at Tuscany Gardens in Ohio.
Mr. VanHoose was born May 12, 1920 in Paintsville, son of the late Rascus and Virgie (Stapleton) VanHoose. He was also preceded in death by his wife Sylvia (Arrowood) VanHoose.
Surviving are is daughter Janet (Don) Copley; two sons Ray (Carol) VanHoose and Larry VanHoose, all of Ohio. Also surviving are eight grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren. Arrangements under the direction of Preston Funeral Home, Paintsville.
Paul “Dean” Fraley
1940-2010
Paul “Dean” Fraley, age 70 of Swartz Creek, passed away Tuesday, September 14, 2010, at Genesys Health Park.
Private services have been held. Memorial donations may be made to the Old Newsboys.
Dean was born July 24, 1940, in Paintsville, the son of the late Delmar and Gladia (Ratliff) Fraley. He married
Suzette Joy Markee on October 14, 1989 in Sevier County, Tennessee.
Dean was employed as a painter by General Motors until his retirement in 2005. He was a member of U.A.W. Local 1292 and International Union of Painters and Allied Trades- Local 1052. Dean was also a member of the Flint Elks Lodge 222 and attended several local Baptist churches.
Surviving are his wife, Suzette; daughter, Sandy Fraley and husband Lester Zitkus of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma; brothers, Carlos Fraley (Margaret) of Columbus, OH, Larry Fraley (Stacey) of Paintsville, KY, Ron Fraley (Sharon) of Swartz Creek; sisters, Ann Treague (Art) of Minnesota, Marlene Fraley of Paintsville, KY, Rose Davis (George) of Columbus, OH, Marsha Meek (Gerald) of Thelma, KY; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by 3 brothers, Dave, Bill and Charles Fraley and sister, Barbara Maupin.
