Elma Grimm, age 81, of Dogwood Fork, Nippa, passed away Monday, October 30, 2017 at Paul B. Hall Medical Center. She is survived by one brother, Elvie Grimm and wife Linda of Paintsville.
Funeral services will be conducted 11 a.m. Friday, November 3, 2017 in the Jones-Preston Funeral Chapel with James Kelly Caudill officiating. Burial will follow at the Grimm Family Cemetery, Dogwood Fork at Nippa. Irene Stapleton
1929-2017
Funeral services were held Monday, Oct. 30, 11 a.m. at the Jones-Preston Funeral Home Chapel for Irene Stapleton, 88, of Flat Gap, who passed away Friday, Oct. 27 at her residence.
She was born Jan. 28, 1929 in Johnson County, daughter of the late Millard and Martha McKenzie Salyer. She was also preceded in death by her loving husband, James Earl Stapleton in 2004.
Surviving are one son, Gary (Linda) Stapleton of Tutor Key; one daughter, Karen (Johnny) Music of Martha; one brother, Raymond Salyer of Springfield, Ohio; two sisters, Geneva Stambaugh of Springfield, and Anna Jewell Blair of Paintsville; and two grandchildren, Stephen Music and Jennifer Stapleton.
The service was officiated by Paul Castle, with burial in the Highland Memorial Park cemetery at Staffordsville.

1960 – 2017
Funeral services were held Monday at the Preston Funeral Home Chapel for James Clay Osborne, 57, of Wittensville, who passed away Saturday at his residence.
Burial followed in the Lakeview Memorial cemetery in Staffordsville.
Arrangements were under the care of the Preston Funeral Home of Paintsville.
JoAnn (Butcher) Fannin
1934-2017
JoAnn Butcher Fannin, age 83, of Chardon Twp., Ohio, died October 29, 2017 at Heather Hill Care Communities, Munson Twp., Ohio. Born March 6, 1934 to Lindsey and Mary Tackett Butcher in Van Lear. She has been a Chardon area resident since 1967. JoAnn enjoyed crocheting, knitting and especially shopping. She was a devoted and loving wife of 63 years and was a cherished and dedicated mother and grandmother.
Survivors include her husband, Herman, whom she married
June 5, 1954 in Paintsville; her children, Teresa (Brian Stephens) Fannin and Phillip Lee Fannin; and two beautiful granddaughters, Lindsay Jean and Jessica Lynne Fannin. She also leaves her brother, Tom (Pat) Butcher; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents and brothers Billy, Lindsey, Jr. and Everett and sister, Jean Salyers, who will all greet her in heaven.
The family will receive friends from 2 – 4 p.m. Saturday, November 4, 2017 at the Burr Funeral Home, 116 South St. (on St. Rt. 44, 500, south of Rt. 6/Chardon Square) Chardon. Private family burial will be held. The family suggests donations to Alzheimer’s Association,

Funeral services will be held Wednesday, Nov. 8, 12 p.m. for Trena Gay Walker Goshtasbi, 49, of Antioch, Tenn., who passed away Friday, Nov. 3.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday, Nov. 29, 1 p.m. at the Hagerhill Free Will Baptist Church for Willa Margaret Webb, 94, of Van Lear, who passed away Sunday, Nov. 26 at the Martin County Health Care Facility in Inez.
Mrs. Webb was born June 13, and raised in Richardson. She was the daughter of the late Frank and Eula Warnick Boyd. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Lowell Webb (2007), and one daughter, Susan Webb.
Surviving are three brothers, Billy Joe (Helen) Boyd of Flatwoods, Tom (Connie) Boyd of Louisa and Charles (Veronica) Boyd of Raceland; five sisters, Doris Preston of Louisa, Carol Sue (Ken) Lacks of Worthington, Darlene (Danny) Sartin of Fort Gay, W.Va., Peggy (Delbert) Fitch of Louisa, and Patricia (Keith) Lacks of Raceland.
Friends may visit the church from 11 a.m. - 1 p.m. prior to the service.
The service will be officiated by Ronnie Spriggs, Jimmy Price and David Blackburn, with burial to follow in the Johnson County Memorial cemetery at Staffordsville.

Funeral services will be held at the Phelps & Son Funeral Home Chapel on Friday, Dec. 1 at 11 a.m. for Makaylee Paige Johnson, 11, of Corbin, who passed away Tuesday, Nov. 28 at the University of Kentucky Children's Hospital in Lexington.
Burial will follow in the Blair Family cemetery in Staffordsville.
