Frances Miller
MORGANFIELD -- Frances Miller, 82, died at 8:45 a.m. Monday, Nov. 30, 1998, at her home here.
She was a member of Walnut Grove Church of Christ.
She was preceded in death by her husband, H.N., who died in 1989.
Survivors include three daughters, Shirley Mayes of Tennessee, Jan Thene of Henderson and Carolyn Bumpus of Morganfield; two sons, Terry Miller of Uniontown and Greg Miller of Morganfield; one sister, Wanda Dortch of Illinois; nine grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Whitsell Funeral Home in Morganfield. Burial will be in Pythian Ridge Cemetery in Sturgis.
Friends may call from 5 to 9 p.m. today and after 8 a.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
Theresa Dannacher Greenwald
MOBILE, Ala. -- Theresa Dannacher Greenwald, 91, formerly of Henderson, died Saturday, Nov. 28, 1998, at Sacred Heart Residence here.
She was active in the garden clubs in Henderson and Mobile, having been the first president of the Federation of the Garden Club of America, Kentucky Chapter. She had been a volunteer for various Catholic charities. She also edited the newsletter and assisted in various civic activities while she was a resident of Cathedral Place in Mobile.
Survivors include two sons, Edwin F. Greenwald of Mobile and Charles Craig Greenwald of Glastonbury, Conn.; one brother, Charles Dannacher of St. Petersburg, Fla.; five grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
Services will be at 11:15 a.m. Wednesday at the Sacred Heart Residence chapel in Mobile. Interment will be held in Henderson.
Local arrangements are pending at Benton-Glunt Funeral Home in Henderson.
Alma Blanford
GUTHRIE, Ky. -- Alma Blanford, 83, Guthrie, died Sunday, Nov. 29, 1998, at Medco Center in Pembroke, Ky.
Survivors include one brother, Curtis Melton of Providence.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Whitsell Funeral Home in Morganfield. Brother Jerry Chesser will officiate. Burial will be in Odd Fellows Cemetery in Clay.

Dr. Hansford T. Shacklette
UNIONTOWN -- Dr. Hansford T. Shacklette, 84, formerly of Henderson County, died at 7:30 p.m. Monday, Nov. 30, 1998, at Union County Methodist Hospital in Morganfield.
An internationally known geologist, he had received a degree in botany and his doctorate in geology from the University of Michigan. He wrote more than 100 geological booklets, and was a scientist for the U.S. Geological Survey in Denver, Colo., having worked in several places around the world. He also started the Shacklette Greenhouse in 1949.
Survivors include cousins Virginia Wathan of Uniontown and Sue O'Bryant of Waverly.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at First Baptist Church in Morganfield. The Revs. Steve Thompson and Mark Galloway will officiate. Burial will be in Odd Fellows Cemetery in Morganfield.
Friends may call from 3 to 8 p.m. today and until service time Thursday at Whitsell Funeral Home in Morganfield.

Vera Agnes Estes Swope
MADISONVILLE -- Vera Agnes Estes Swope, 90, died at 11:10 a.m. Sunday, Nov. 29, 1998, at Ridgewood Terrace Nursing Home in Madisonville.
A nurses aide at Hopkins County Hospital, she was a member of Pleasant Grove Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by her husband, William L., who died April 14, 1987, and two sons.
Survivors include six sisters; one granddaughter, great-grandchildren; and nieces and nephews, including Faye Nieumaen, Delbert Estes and William Estes of Henderson.
Services will be at 11 a.m. today at Harris Funeral Home Chapel in Madisonville. The Rev. John Stalls will officiate. Entombment will be in Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens Mausoleum.

William L. "Bill" Sallee
EVANSVILLE -- William L. "Bill" Sallee, 78, died at 8:35 p.m. Monday, Nov. 30, 1998, at his home here.
A member of Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 1114 and St. Agnes Catholic Church in Evansville, he was an employee with Dura-Bernardin until his retirement in 1980. He was also a U.S. Army World War II veteran belonging to Army Headquarters 5th Infantry Division.
Survivors include his wife of 44 years, Bettye; one daughter, Darla Brown of Cynthiana, Ind.; one son, Ronald E. Johnson Sr. of Arnold, Mo.; three stepsisters; one half-brother, Michael Sallee of Florence, Ore.; two stepbrothers; two granddaughters and four grandsons; eight great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews.
Services will begin at 9:15 a.m. Friday at Simpson-Meyer Funeral Home in Evansville and will be continued at 10 a.m. Friday at St. Agnes Catholic Church. The Rev. Raymond Kuper will officiate. Entombment will be in Oak Hill Mausoleum in Evansville.
Friends may call from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. Thursday at Simpson-Meyer Funeral Home, where there will be a prayer service at 7 p.m. Thursday.

INDIANAPOLIS -- Reva I. Green Webster Sawyer Flint, 82, died at 5 p.m. Monday, Nov. 30, 1998, at Continental Nursing Home in Indianapolis.
She was a nurses aide for St. Pauls Hermitage in Indianapolis.
She was preceded in death by her husband, James H., who died 1988, one daughter, Ruth I. Ward and two sons, Ronnie L. Sawyer and Donnie M. Sawyer.
Survivors include two sisters, Virgie Mae Morris and Dorothy M. Williams, both of Indianapolis; one brother, Arthur Green of Henderson; 12 grandchildren; and 19 great-grandchildren.
Services will be at 1 p.m. Friday at G.H. Herrmann Madison Avenue Funeral Home in Indianapolis. Burial will be in Floral Park Cemetery in Indianapolis.
