Ruth Annelle Cunningham Wing, 70, of 448 Haddix Street, died Wednesday, July 28, 1999 at Harrodsburg Health Care.
Born March 5, 1929 in Harrodsburg, she was the daughter of the late David Ray and Mary Edwards Cunningham.
She had worked as a bookkeeper for Yates-Woodard Buick-Chevrolet and also as a bookkeeper for Halls Camper Sales in Lexington. She was a member of the Salvisa Methodist Church.
Survivors include: her husband, Francis Wing, Harrodsburg; one son, Alan B. Laymon, Harrodsburg; one daughter, Marie Colabella, Los Angeles, CA; one step daughter, Frances (Beth) Spears, Nashville, TN; three brothers, Buford and Byford Cunningham, both of Lawrenceburg, and Bill Cunningham, Salvisa; one sister, Jewell Sparrow, Graefenburg; six grandchildren and four great grandchildren.
Funeral services were held Friday, July 30, at the Ransdell Funeral Chapel with Rev. Ray Coates officiating.

NANNIE NOEL
Nannie P. Noel, 85, of 454 Cane Run died Thursday, July 29, 1999 at the James B. Haggin Memorial Hospital.
Born February 6, 1914 in Anderson County, she was the daughter of the late Amos and Cordie Phillips Peach. She was the widow of Henry Noel.
She had owned and operated a personal care home for 45 years and was a member of the Harrodsburg Baptist Church.
Survivors include: two sons, Hunter and Bob Noel, both of Harrodsburg; one daughter, Betty Hill, Harrodsburg; 12 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by one son, James W. "Billy" Noel; one brother, Lee Peach.
Funeral services were held Sunday, August 1, at the Alexander and Royalty Funeral Home with Dr. Robert DeFoor officiating. Burial was in Spring Hill Cemetery.
Pallbearers were C. M. Shewmaker, Tom Guthrie, Bill Hill, Jimmy Noel, Patrick Noel, Tommy Beasley and Buddy Beasley.

ROBERT PENNIE
Robert "Bo" Franklin Pennie III, 51, of Harrodsburg, died Tuesday, July 27, 1999 at his residence.
Born February 11, 1948 in Woodford County, he was the son of Mildred W. Pennie of Midway and the late Robert Franklin Pennie Jr.
He was a 20 year employee of Osram Sylvania in Versailles and was a member of the Pilgram Baptist Church in Midway.
Survivors, in addition to his mother, include: his wife, Janice Hardin Pennie, Harrodsburg; one son, Ramon Pennie, Lexington; three step children, Stephen Stumph, Lori Taylor and Jamie (Jaime) Stumph, all of Harrodsburg; one sister, Linda P. Davis, Versailles; five brothers, Michael, Ricky, Stevie and Stanley (Terri) Pennie, all of Lexington, and Ike Pennie, Tennessee; maternal grandmother, Ellen Robinson, Midway; paternal grandfather, Robert Franklin Pennie Sr., Midway; three grandchildren and two step grandchildren. He was preceded in death by two brothers, Charlie "C. P." Pennie and Marshall "Crook" Pennie.
Funeral services were held Saturday, July 31, at the Pilgram Baptist Church in Midway with Rev. Eric Johnson and Rev. Randall Bush officiating. Burial was in Sunset Memorial Gardens.

CLEO CAMIC
Cleo Camic, 75, of Beaumont Avenue, died Sunday, August 1, 1999 at his residence.
Born July 6, 1924 in Mercer Conty, he was the son of the late H. A. and Hattie Cosby Camic.
He was retired from the Forming Department at Corning Glass.
He was a member of Southside Christian Church, VFW and the American Legion. He was a Navy veteran of World War II.
Survivors include: his wife, Virginia Camic, Harrodsburg; three sons, Michael Camic and Larry D. Camic, both of Harrodsburg, David C. Camic, Danville; seven grandchildren.
Funeral services were held Tuesday, August 3, at the Ransdell Funeral Chapel with Sam Stow and David Hartman officiating. Burial was in Spring Hill Cemetery.

Mrs. Fannie J. Tyler, 87, of 609 Deep Creek Road, widow of Wesley Maurice Tyler, died Sunday, August 1, 1999 at the James B. Haggin Memorial Hospital.
Born May 14, 1912 in Mercer County, she was the daughter of the late James and Fannie Board Hatchell.
She was a homemaker and a member of the Bruner s Chapel Baptist Church.
Survivors include: one son, John H. (Becky) Tyler, Louisville; one daughter, Doris (Bob) Hunt, Mt. Washington; five grandchildren, three great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by three sisters, Eunice Claunch, Belle Hill and Reatha McCrystal; two brothers, Albert and Will Hatchell.
Funeral services were held Wednesday, August 4, at the Alexander and Royalty Funeral Home with Bro. Don Reed and Bro. Larry Redding officiating. Burial was in Spring Hill Cemetery.

Evalena Gaines Preston, 90, of Beaumont Avenue, died Saturday, July 31, 1999 at her residence.
Born July 2, 1909 in Mercer County, she was the daughter of the late Herman N. and Nora Johnson Gaines.
She was a retired school teacher, having taught at Shakertown School for 37 years, Burgin, McAfee and Harrodsburg.
She was a member of Shawnee Run Baptist Church and was church historian and the church s oldest member.
She was also a member of the Mercer County Retired Teachers Association and a Kentucky Colonel.
Survivors include: her husband, Thurman Preston; one niece, Lesle Williams, Danville; and one Nephew, Robert Gaines, Elizabethtown.
Funeral services were held at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, August 3, at the Ransdell Funeral Chapel with Lester Tirey officiating. Burial was in Spring Hill Cemetery.
Pallbearers were John (Buck) VanArsdale, Donald Pennington, Donnie Young, Kenny Beasley, Raymond Webb and Baker Williams.

Franklin Lee Woods, 57, of 137 McCroskey Pike, died Sunday, August 1, 1999 at the James B. Haggin Memorial Hospital.
Born July 17, 1942 in Woodford County, he was the son of Louise Moberly Woods of Harrodsburg and the late Otto Woods.
He was a maintenance mechanic for 26 years at Osram Sylvania and was a member of the Freedom Baptist Church.
Survivors, in addition to his mother, include: his wife, Polly Ann Caudill Woods, Harrodsburg; three sons, Franklin Lee Woods, Jr., Harrodsburg, John Robert Woods and Daniel Lynn Woods, both of Salvisa; one step son, Steve Cabarett, Frankfort; one daughter, Barbara Jane Bottom, Harrodsburg; five grandchildren, two step grandchildren. He was preceded in death by one son, David Lee Woods.
Funeral services were held at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, August 3, at the Freedom Baptist Church in Lawrenceburg with Rev. Bobby Logue officiating. Burial was in the church cemetery.
Pallbearers were Charles Caudill, Clarence Caudill, Douglas Caudill, Kenneth Caudill, J. F. Wilcher and Lennis Caudill. Claude Clifton (Tommy) Baker, 82, of 230 Baker Lane, Parksville, died Saturday, July 31, 1999 at his residence.
Born April 8, 1917 in Boyle County, he was the son of the late Samuel and Eddie Vermillion Baker.
He was a retired carpenter and a US Navy veteran of World War II.
He was a member of the Mitchellsburg Baptist Church.
Survivors include: his wife, Hazel Reardon Baker, Parksville; three sons, Sammy, Richard and Melvin Baker, all of Parksville; two daughters, Martha Rose Young, Perryville, and Pauline Drake, Danville; two sisters, Jean Holman, Parksville and Ruby Dean, Mercer County; 17 grandchildren and 29 great grandchildren.
Funeral services were held Tuesday, August 3, at the Wilder Funeral Home in Perryville, with Rev. Wayne Malone officiating. Burial was in the Parksville Cemetery.

Walter Barnett of Haight Avenue, Cincinnati, OH, husband of Adeline Barnett, died recently at a nursing home in Cincinnati.
Born March 21, 1916 in Burgin, he was the son of the late John and Lula Barnett.
In addition to his wife, survivors include: one daughter, Mrs. Glenn (Fay) Willey, a brother, William Cecil Barnett, two grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a brother, Harry Barnett.
Funeral services were held Saturday, July 31, at Shawnee Run Baptist Church with Bro. Bob Cheak officiating. Burial was in the church cemetery.

SELINA COLEMAN
Selina Hinson Coleman, 63, of Thomaston, GA, died Friday, July 30, 1999 at the Upson Regional Medical Center in Thomaston.
Born December 24, 1935 in Thomaston, she was the daughter of the late Isham Lamar Hinson and Christine Dickson Adams.
She graduated from R. E. Lee High School in 1953 and attended Agnes Scott College and the University of Georgia.
She was a member and former Regent of the John Houston Chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution, and a member of the Thomaston-Upson Historical Society.
She was a member of the First Presbyterian Church of Thomaston and had received the Presbyterian Women s Honorary Life Membership.
Survivors include: her husband, Thomas C. Coleman, Thomaston, GA; three daughters, Selina Sadler Coleman, Colubmia, SC, Richmond VanArsdale Coleman and Gladys Coleman Haralu, both of Thomaston; one son-in-law, Mego Haralu, Thomaston; two brothers, I. Lamar Hinson, Jr. And Albert A. Hinson, both of Thomaston; two grandchildren; a sister-in-law, Helen Coleman of Harrodsburg.
Funeral services were held Tuesday, August 3, at the First Presbyterian Church in Thomaston with Rev. Mego Haralu and Dr. Albert E. Simmons officiating. Burial was in Glenwood Cemetery.

RICHARD MITCHELL, Sr.
Richard Isham Mitchell, Sr., age 77, died August 2, 1999.
A native of Harrodsburg, he was the son of the late Elizabeth and J. P. Mitchell.
He graduated from Georgetown College, the University of Louisville and Northeastern University in Massachusetts..
He was a World War II Navy veteran and past master of Mount Hollis Lodge in Holliston, MA.
He was the former Awards Chairman for Holliston Boy Scouts of America and former member of Central Mass. Conference of Football and Basketball Officials. He was the Southeastern Director of Sales for G. S. Carringotn Co. until his retirement in 1985.
He was a member of Big Canoe, GA Men s Golf Association, a fifty year member of Pi Kappa Alpha Fraternity, and a member of St. Peter and St. Paul Episcopal Church in Marietta.
Survivors include his wife: Priscilla Breck Mitchell, Marietta; his children, Drucilla and Robert Groves of Elgin, TX, Richard Jr. and Jan Coleman-Mitchell of Big Canoe, GA and J. P. And Trudy Mitchell, Marietta; three grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held Friday, August 6, at St. Peter and St. Paul Episcopal Church in Marietta with Rev. Sue Duffield officiating.

Lucille Griswold Kays, 84, widow of Dr. Onie U. Kays, a former minister of the Harrodsburg United Methodist Church, died Sunday, August 1, 1999, at Central Baptist Hospital in Lexington.
She was the daughter of the late Rev. Nathaniel and Lydia Griswold.
She had been an elementary school teacher before her marriage.
Survivors include: one daughter, Elizabeth Ann (James P.) Edwards; one son, Gerald Wesley (Linda W.) Kays; one sister, Pearl Walker, Anchorage, AK; three grandchildren.
Funeral services will be conducted Thursday, August 5, by Dr. T. O. Harrison and Rev. Dwight David Parker, at Milward Mortuary-Southland in Lexington. Burial will be in Spring Hill Cemetery in Harrodsburg.

Born December 23, 1908 in Washington County, she was the daughter of the late Robert Nelson and Lucy West Hardin. She was the widow of Yerkes Gibson.
She was a homemaker and a member of Beech Grove Baptist Church.
Survivors include: one nephew, James Bottom, Danville, two nieces, Nancy Baker and Lou Butler, both of Harrodsburg.
Funeral services were held Sunday, August 8 at the Wilder Funeral Home in Perryville. Burial was in Hillcrest Cemetery.

GEORGE SHARP
George William Sharp, age 71, of 737 Stoner Street, formerly of Louisville, died Thursday, August 5, 1999 at the James B. Haggin Memorial Hospital.
Born September 14, 1927 in Louisville, he was the son of the late Virgil Sharp and Dorothy Nevitt Sharp Lange.
He had served in the Merchant Marines.
He is survived by several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his step father Donald Lange.
Funeral services were held Sunday, August 8 at the Battle Cemetery in Washington County with Bro. James Harley officiating. Serving as pallbearers were Chris Ross, Mary Ross, Harrison Hardin and Charles Hardin.

Rubena Dean, 68, formerly of Riverside Drive, widow of Eulyn Dean, died Thursday, August 5, 1999 at the Haggin Memorial Hospital.
Born June 4, 1931 in Tyler, TX, she was the daughter of the late Theodore and Ella Mae Corneliuson Swenson.
She was a former school teacher and a tax preparer and was a member of the Harrodsburg United Methodist Church and the Harrodsburg Women's Club.
Survivors include: one son, Ted Dean, Middlesboro; one daughter, Lynn Taylor, Harrodsburg; one brother, Ted Swenson Jr., Tyler, TX; two grandchildren.

Born February 2, 1927 in Lawrenceburg, he was the son of the late Samuel Boas and Rosa Camic Stratton.
He was a retired farmer and businessman and a member of the Pioneer Baptist Church.
He was a US Navy veteran of World War II.
Survivors include: his wife, Faye Hoskins Stratton, Harrodsburg; one son, Troy Stratton, Tyler, TX; two daughters, Janet Brogli, Lexington, Roxie Camic, Harrodsburg; one sister, Emma Mae Hughes, Lawrenceburg; five grandchildren and two great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by two brothers, James and William Stratton; two grandchildren, Timothy Brogli and Jacob Stratton.
Funeral services were held Monday, August 8, at the Ransdell Funeral Chapel with Lewis Walter and Fred Knickerbocker officiating. Burial was in Spring Hill Cemetery with military rites.

Nanci Louise Potts, 55, of 1270 Talmage-Mayo Road, died Saturday, August 7, 1999 at the Ephraim McDowell Regional Medical Center in Danville.
Born October 27, 1943 in Sparta, WI, she was the daughter of the late Aileen Kirkeeng Williams, Springfield, OH and the late James Williams.
She was employed by Keeneland of Lexington and was a member of the Lighthouse Assembly of God.

Born November 10, 1939 in Mercer County, he was the son of the late Herbert Goodlett and Ethel Releford Goodlett Robinson.
He was retired after 26 years at Square D, was a member of IBEW Local #2220, and a member of Dry Branch Baptist Church.
Survivors include: four daughters, Rachel Bell, Cindy Edwards and Terri Dixon, all of Harrodsburg, and LaDonna Davis, Berea; one son, Brian Goodlett, Harrodsburg; two brothers, Haldon Goodlett, Harrodsburg, and Roger Goodlett, Burgin; seven grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a sister, Ruby Bernice Roller; a brother, Herbert Elwood Goodlett.
Funeral services were held Tuesday, August 10, at the Alexander and Royalty Funeral Home with Bro. Donnie Releford and Bro. James Harley officiating.

Harley Talmadge Kincaid, 53, of Versailles, died Monday, August 9, 1999 from injuries sustained in a motorcycle accident.
Born in Woodford County July 1, 1946, he was the son of Oreena Kincaid of Versailles and the late William H. Kincaid Sr.
He was a 30 year employee of Kuhlman Electric in Versailles and was a veteran having served in the U. S. Navy.
He was a member of the Kentucky Bikers Association, the Harley Owners Group and American Legion Post #67.
Survivors include: his wife, Vickie Smith Kincaid, Versailles; one daughter, Nicolle (Chris) Kidwell, Lawrenceburg; one son, Bryan Kincaid, Crab Orchard; one step daughter, Tanya Mitchell, NC; one step son, Erik Smith, Versailles; one sister, Joyce (Tommy) Turner, Versailles; three brothers, William "Bill" (Debbie) Kincaid, Versailles, Wayne Kincaid, Phoenix, AZ and Kenneth (Jane) Kincaid of Richmond.
