Services for Wanda McKnight, 57, of Caldwell County, who died on Wednesday, December 5 at 6:40 p.m. at Caldwell County Hospital in Princeton. were held at Millwood Funeral Home in Princeton on Saturday, December 8 at 11 a.m.
Reverend Ed Clement officiated with burial in Castleberry Cemetery in Christian County.
She was a member of the First Assembly of God in Eddyville and was a retired registered nurse at Jennie Stuart Hospital in Hopkinsville.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Cora Lee Hughes Ervin and one son, Bobby McKnight.
She is survived by her husband, James Robert McKnight of Caldwell County; her father, Luther Ervin of Chattanooga, Tennessee; two sons, Ronnie McKnight and Randy McKnight of Corydon, Indiana; three daughters, Terri Robertson, of Corydon, Indiana, Karen Stone and Debbie Hughes of Caldwell County; ten grandchildren.
Phyllis Hammonds
Services for Phyllis Ann Hammonds, 50, of Eddyville who died at 10:55 p.m. on Tuesday, November 27, at Rivers Bend Retirement Community in Kuttawa were held on Saturday, December 1, at 11 a.m. at Dunn’s Funeral Home In Eddyville.
Dr. Jerrell White officiated with burial in Rolling Hill Cemetery.
She was a member of Victory Baptist Church and was preceded in death by one brother, David Hammonds.
Her parents were Eugene and Hazel Louise Forsythe Hammonds.
Survivors include two brothers, Bobby Hammonds of Eddyville and one sister, Susie McDonald of Colleyville, Texas and several nieces and nephews.
George Williams
George “Alvin” Williams, 88 died Saturday, June 30 at the Holiday Manor in Princeton.
He was born on February 13, 1913 in Gibson County. His parents were George Calvin and Myrtle Mae Sharp Williams.
He retired from Whirlpool Corporation and had served in the US Army during World War II.
Surviving are his wife of 51 years, Mary Ann Phillips Williams; three daughters, Diann Garrett of Haubstadt, Debra Wilkerson of Eddyville and Jeanette Rutherford of El Dorado, Arkansas; one brother, Charles Williams of Illinois and seven grandchildren.
Graveside services were conducted on July 2 at Maumee Cemetery with military rites conducted by the South Gibson VFW Post #2714.
Eddie H. Bennett
Eddie H. Bennett, 59, of Eddyville died on October 26 at 11:40 a.m. at his home in Eddyville.
Services were held on Tuesday, October 29 at 11 a.. at Lakeland Funeral Home in Eddyville. Reverend Shoney Oliver and Reverend Eugene Wyatt officiated with burial in Deer Creek Baptist Church Cemetery in Crittenden County.
He was a retired car salesman for Princeton Buick, Pontiac and GMC in Princeton and a member of Deer Creek Baptist Church in Crittenden County.
He is survived by his wife, Brenda Horning Bennett; two step -daughters, Tresa Blackburn of Princeton and Donna Jo Dinsmore of Eddyville; two step-sons, Michael Bush of Princeton and Roy Bush of Huston, Texas; two brothers, David Bennett of Calvert City and Keith Bennett of Bishopsville, South Carolina; two sisters, Debra Orenduff of Marion and Betty Jo Manley of Onley and five step-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Harold and Edwinna Beard Bennett.
