Services for R. M. (Jaybird) Peek, 85, of Hanson, formerly of Hopkinsville, were held December 17 at 11 a.m., at the Lakeland Funeral Home Chapel in Eddyville.
Mr. Peek died Wednesday December 14 at 11:05 p.m. at Western Kentucky Veterans Center in Hanson. He was a retired truck driver for Ft. Campbell, an army veteran of WW II and was a member of VFW Post 5359 Dawson Springs.
Mr. Peek was survived by one daughter, Sherry and Hackney of Ringgold, Ga.; two grandchildren, Lori Franklin of Kingston, Ga., and Chad Hackney of Ringgold, Ga.; and one brother, Ray Peek of Marion.
He was preceded in death by his parents, William D. and Lula Walker Peek, one brother and one sister.
Rev. Mason Forsythe officiated the service and interment was at Hebron Cemetery in Lyon County.
Jennie Lee Henry, 73
Services were held for Jennie Lee Henry, 73, formerly of Dycusburg, on Thursday, December 16 at 11 a.m. at Morgan’s Funeral Home. Mrs. Henry died, December 11, at 3:57 p.m. at her home
She was survived by her husband, Russell Louie Henry, Hernando Fla.; one daughter, Kathy Henry; two grandchildren, Windy Henry and Derick Hatler all of Tallahassee, Fla., two brothers, Ben Hall, Lake Station, Ind., and John Hall of Eddyville; one sister LaVerne Jamriska of Sarasota, Fla., and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Edward Hall and Jennie McClure Hall and four brothers, Chastine, DeGarth, Allen Reece and Gaylen Hall.
The Rev. Wayne Garvey officiated with burial at the Dycusburg Cemetery.
Robert L. Dorris, 73
Services for Robert L. Dorris, 73, of Princeton were conducted at Morgan’s Funeral Home in Princeton on December 19 at 1 p.m.
The Rev. Roger Felker officiated. Burial followed at Beech Grove Cemetery.
Mr. Dorris died December 14 at his home. He was a farmer.
He was preceded in death by his parents, J.W. Dorris and Dolly Cook Dorris; one brother, Russell Dorris and one sister, Mable Wilson.
His survivors include one brother, Thomas Dorris of Caldwell County; three nephews and three nieces.
Jerome Wayne Hunter
Services for Jerome Wayne Hunter, 34, of Eddyville, were held January 28 at 11 a.m. at Herald and Stewart Chapel in Mt. Sterling. David Campbell officiated. Burial followed at Oldfield Cemetery.
Mr. Hunter was owner of Hunter Roofing and Remodeling and attended Princeton Church of God.
His survivors include his parents, Johnie Hunter Jr. and Dorothy Hudson Hunter, both of Eddyville; one sister, Karen Howard of Mt. Sterling; two brothers, James Hunter of Eddyville and Kalvin Hunter of Mt. Sterling; his maternal grandmother, Stella Hudson of Mt. Sterling; one nephew and three nieces.
