Catherine Joiner Stegar, 80, of Princeton died on Sat., Aug. 16 at 4:46 p.m. at River’s Bend Retirement Community in Kuttawa, following a long illness.
Mrs. Stegar was a homemaker and a member of First Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Harry B. Joiner, Sr. and Pearl James Joiner; one brother, Harry Joiner Jr.; one sister, Dorothy Joiner Angel.
She is survived by one son, Samuel Stegar of Atlanta, Ga.; one daughter, Marilyn Frazar of Peachtree City, Ga.; two sisters, Marguaritte Foster of Memphis, Tenn., and Virginia Morris of Louisville.
Funeral services were held Wed., Aug. 20 at 10 a.m. at Morgan’s Funeral Home in Princeton. Rev. Tom Hughes officiated with Rev. J. Bill Jones assisting. Burial followed at Cedar Hill Cemetery in Princeton.

Frances Eaker
Graveside services for Frances Eaker of Reidland who died at 1:43 p.m. on Friday, June 22 at Lourdes Hospital in Paducah were held on Monday, June 25 at 11 a.m. at Bethel Baptist Church Cemetery in Tatumsville with Reverend C.C. Brasher officiating. Dunn’s Funeral Home in Eddyville was in charge of arrangements.
She was a member of Bethel Baptist Church in Tatumsville and was preceded in death by her husband Myers Eaker in 1963; two sisters, Elsie Faughn and Lavada Aldridge. Her parents were Oscar and Hester Bloodworth Forsythe.
Survivors include one daughter, Debbie VanVactor of Reidland; three brothers, Oscar Forsythe of Calvert City, Mason Forsythe of Kuttawa , Bill Forsythe of Alton, Illinois; four sisters, Beatrice McNeely of Alton, Illinois, Sybil Trim of Reidland, Charlene Forsythe of Reidland, Genon Bridges of Alton, Illinois; one grandson, Zack VanVactor of Possum Trot and several nieces and nephews.
Kathleen Gray
Services for Kathleen Gray, 82, of Eddyville who died at 5 a.m. on Saturday, June 30 at her home in Lyon county were held on Tuesday, July 3 at 1 p.m. at Cornerstone Baptist Church in Princeton.
Reverend A.B. Ortt and Reverend Jim Travis officiated with burial in Confederate Cemetery in Eddyville.
She was preceded in death by her husband Noble Gray in 1984; two grandsons, Scott Goodaker, Joe English; three brothers R.C. Gray, Jack Gray, Arliff Gray; two sisters, Geneva Towne and Leona Williamson. Her parents were Elwood and Mary Cummins Gray.
Survivors include three sons, Willard Gray of Cadiz. Gary Gray of Riverside, California, Tommy Gray of New Albany, Ind.; four daughters, Patricia English or Ormond Beach, Florida, Bonnie Ashby of Owensboro, Donna Goodaker of Princeton, Sherry Kinnis of Eddyville; eighteen grandchildren; thirty seven great-grandchildren and seven great-great-grandchildren.
Denise Tinsley
Services for Denise Tinsley, 35, of Marion who died on June 19 in Ohio County were held on Friday, June 22 at 2 p.m. at Gilbert Funeral Home in Marion.
Reverend Nicky Davis officiated with burial in Whites Chapel Cemetery.
She was a member of the Marion General Baptist Church.
She is survived by her husband Wesley “Pat” Tinsley of Marion; one son, Caleb Tinsley of Marion; her parents, William “Bill” Sunderland and Carolyn Sue Sunderland of Marion; two brothers, David Glenn Sunderland and Roger Darrell Sunderland both of Marion.
