KUTTAWA, KY - Mr. Malcolm Wadlington, 85, of Kuttawa, passed away Monday, March 29th, at his residence in Kuttawa.
He was a retired iron worker for Local #1 in Chicago, IL, a WWII Navy veteran, and a member of Suwanee Church of Christ in Kuttawa. He and his wife, Martha, owned and operated the former Wadlington's Restaurant from 1965-1967 in Eddyville and from 1967-1978 in Suwanee.
Mr. Wadlington is survived by his wife of 67 years, Martha DeFew Wadlington; 2 sons and their wives, Richard and Andrea Wadlington of Lexington, KY. and Tim and Denise Wadlington of Kuttawa, KY; one daughter
and her husband, Pat and Gerald Molloy of Kuttawa; 9 grandchildren and 21 great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by a grandson, Tim Wadlington; two brothers, William Hardy Wadlington and James Edward Wadlington; three sisters, Ialene Schmitt, Mary Ann Lingner and Virginia Kalfas. His parents were the late William Herbert and Lola Gaines Wadlington.
Services are scheduled for 11:00 A.M. Friday, April 2nd, at Lakeland Funeral Home with Chad Wadlington officiating. Burial will be in Doom Chapel Cemetery in Lyon County with graveside military rites
Visitation will be 4:00-8:00 P. M., Thursday, April 1st at Lakeland Funeral Home in Eddyville.

Bobby Dell Borders, Age 73

FREDONIA, KY - Mr. Bobby Borders, 73, of Fredonia, passed away Wednesday, April 7, 2010, in Lourdes Hospital in Paducah.
Mr. Borders was retired owner and operator of Bob's Body & Collision Shop in Calvert City. He was a Korean Marine veteran; a member of Calvert City Masonic Lodge #543, the Rizpah Shrine Temple in Madisonville where he was active as a parade clown, Fredonia Lions Club and the Fredonia American Legion.
He is survived by three sons and their wives, Alan & Darlene Borders of Benton, Alton & Kasandra Borders of Fredonia, Alex & Stephanie Borders of Calvert City; three daughters, Anita Scruggs of Austin, TX., Alisa Pickens and
her husband, Daniel of Calvert City, Annetta Lofton of Calvert City; ten grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Virginia May Crosby Borders and three brothers, Leon, Ray and J. D. Borders. His parents were the late Scott and Josie Barnhart Borders.
Services are scheduled for 2:00 P.M. Saturday, April 10, 2010, at Lakeland Funeral Home Chapel in Eddyville with Dr. Jerrell White officiating. Burial will be in Wadesboro Cemetery in Hardin, Ky.
Visitation will be 5:00-8:00 P.M. Friday, April 9, 2010, at Lakeland Funeral Home with Masonic rites at 7:00 P.M.
Walter Reibel, Age 76

Walter E. "Walt" Reibel, 76, of Eddyville, Kentucky, passed away Monday, February 15, 2010, at his home. He was a member of St. Mark's Catholic Church in Eddyville, KY.
Walt was born March 30, 1933 in Joliet, Illinois to the late Walter M. and Dorothy V. (Glomp) Reibel.
He was a Navy veteran.
After leaving the US Navy, Walt went into business, first working for Economy Food Centers as a Clerk, Buyer, then as a Vice President. Walt then went on to open and operate his own Ace Hardware Store. He remained involved in owning and operating small businesses after retirement.
Walt was an avid outdoorsman; he loved fishing, hunting, hiking and bird watching. He was also very involved in his community and belonged to local clubs in Evansville and Eddyville including Jaycees, Twilight Optimist Club, Knights of Columbus, Knights of Saint John, Ducks Unlimited, Isaac Walton League and Fun Time Fishing Club. He was a Kentucky Colonel. His friends loved his sense of humor and his easy-going spirit.
Walt is preceded in death by his infant son Michael and his brother Jim. He is survived by his wife of 53 years Marilyn, his three daughters: Julie (Rudain) Arafeh of San Jose Ca., Karen Reibel of Lynnville In, and Lisa (Jeff) Harper of Henderson Ky., Grandson Michael Thuerbach of Greenfield In., and his sisters: Beverly (Bill) Kruse of Elberfeld In., Joanne (Larry) Stone of Fort Branch, In., Janet Collins and Mary Sue (Bernie) Spindler, both of Haubstadt, In. and many loving family and friends.
Walt's family would like to thank Pennyrile Hospice for their loving care and support.
Visitation is from 5-8 pm, Wednesday, Feb 17 at Lakeland Funeral Home in Eddyville, KY and from 2-8 pm, Thursday, February 18 at Ziemers North in Evansville, IN. Funeral Mass will be held at Ziemers North at 10 am on Friday Feb 19 with burial following at Saint Joseph Cemetery in Evansville, IN.

Helen Louise Ramage, Age 86

DYCUSBURG, KY - Mrs. Helen Louise Ramage, 87, of Murfreesboro, TN., formerly of Dycusburg, passed away Monday, March 22, 2010 in Middle Tennessee Medical Center in Murfreesboro, TN.
She is survived by one daughter, Michelle Manning, of Murfreesboro, TN. and two grandchildren, Shelby Manning, and Davis Manning, both of Murfreesboro.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 61 years, J. B. Ramage, February 22, 2010. Two sisters, Alberta Maxfield and Myra Fulenwilder; one brother, Thomas Brasher, her son-in-law, Chris Manning and her parents, Albert and Effie Davis Brasher also preceded her in death.
Funeral Service will be 2:00 P.M. Friday, March 26, 2010 at Lakeland Funeral Home Chapel in Eddyville, KY. Friends may call Friday, March 26, 2010 from 12:00 Noon to 2:00 PM. at the funeral home. Burial will be in Dycusburg Cemetery, Dycusburg, Kentucky.
Mrs. Ramage was a homemaker, a member of Dycusburg Baptist Church, a retiree of Shawnee Plastics in Kuttawa KY. She also had worked for Arvin Industries in Princeton, KY for many years.
