Betty F. Myers, 75, 750 Harvey Pike, died Thursday, September 11, 2003 at the Frankfort Regional Medical Center.
Born August 31, 1928 in Tokyo, Japan, she was the daughter of the late Masahiro Muraoka and Saku Okamura Muraoka.
She was a homemaker and a member of the Mercer Co. Senior Citizens.
Survivors include one son, David R. Myers, Mt. Morris, MI; one daughter, Arleen Webb, Harrodsburg; four grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
Memorial services will be conducted at a later date. There will be no visitation. The Ransdell Funeral Chapel is in charge of arrangements.

WILLIAM ROBERTSON
William Edward “Ed” Robertson, 69, 663 East Office Street, died Monday, September 15, 2003 at the Ephraim McDowell Regional Medical Center in Danville.
Born April 28, 1934 in Covington, he was the son of the late J. T. “Pop” and Beulah Wilson Robertson.
He was a retired Lab Technician for Corning Glass Works of Harrodsburg, was active with Mercer Co. Little League Programs including Pee-wee, Minors, Majors, and Babe Ruth from 1962 until 1973, and was a member of the Harrodsburg Baptist Church.
Survivors include: his wife, Virginia Ann Durr Robertson, Harrodsburg; two sons, Jack (Joy) Robertson and Jeff (Sharyn) Robertson, both of Harrodsburg; three grandchildren, Mathew, Monica, and Ann Katherine Robertson, Harrodsburg; he was preceded in death by a brother, J. E. Robertson.
Funeral services will be held at 2:30 p.m. Thursday, September 18, at the Ransdell Funeral Chapel with Rick Snyder, Jerel Coffey, and Larry Camic officiating. Burial will be in Spring Hill Cemetery.
Visitation will be after 4:00 p.m. Wednesday and after 7:30 a.m. Thursday at the chapel.
Pallbearers will be Floyd “Buddy” Shirley, Everett Hall, Jr., Bud Hahn, Don Billy Caton, T. C. Claunch, Bobby Burton, Bill Elliott Sr. and Charles Johnstone. Honorary bearers will be members of his Sunday School class, John Sparrow, Larry and David Camic.
Memorials are suggested to the Harrodsburg Baptist Church Maintenance Fund.
GLADYS SANDERS
Mrs. Gladys Taylor Sanders, 82, Court Street, Burgin, died Wednesday, September 10, 2003 in Burgin.
Born April 8, 1921 in Anderson County, she was the daughter of the late Willie and Elmer McKinney Taylor. She was the widow of Pat Sanders.
She was a retired Cricketeer Seamstress, a member of the Shawnee Run Baptist Church, where she was active in the Dorcas Sunday School Class and WMU and was a member of Widow to Widow.
Survivors include two sons: Charles Sanders, Harrodsburg and Larry (Jo) Sanders, Burgin; three sisters, Mrs. Buford (Frances) Collier, Lexington, Mrs. Buell Thomas (Dorothy) Pittman and Mrs. Walter (Evelyn) Cummins, both of Danville; two grandchildren, Tonya S. Schroeder and Lee F. Sanders; three step-grandchildren, six great grandchildren, seven step-great-grandchildren and her best friend, Hattie Richardson, Burgin. She was preceded in death by her brother: Marvin Taylor and one granddaughter: Cheryl Sanders Southworth.
Funeral services were held Saturday, September 13, at the Shawnee Run Baptist Church with Bro. Lester Tirey and Chaplain Gary Story officiating. Burial was in the Shawnee Run Baptist Church Cemetery.
Pallbearers were Gary Schroeder, Royce Withers, Gary Cummins, Roy Lee Sanders, Douglas Sanders, Brent Sanders and Mike Cunningham.

WILLIAM YOUNG
William Kenneth Young, 72, formerly of Harrodsburg, died Thursday, September 11, 2003 at the Hospice Care Center at Audubon Hospital in Louisville.
Born November 16, 1930 in Mercer County, He was the son of the late Mattie Frances Elliott Young and William Elwood Young.
He was a former sales and safety director for Superior Tank Lines in Cincinnati and was in charge of transporting the fuel used for Apollo 13. He was formerly a member of the Lion's and Kiwanis clubs and a member of the First Presbyterian Church of Calvert City.
Survivors include: one daughter, Melody Murphy, Louisville; two sons, Robert Ray Young, Lexington and Kenny Lynn Young, New Port Ritchey, FL; three sisters, Mrs. J. W. (Evelyn) Mattingly, Mrs. Kenneth (Norma) Martin, Mrs. Bronson (Nancy) Yeast, all of Harrodsburg; four grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were held Saturday September 13, at the Ritchie and Peach Funeral Home in Lawrenceburg with Rev. Joel A. Bowman, of the Temple of Faith Baptist Church in Louisville, officiating. Burial was in the Lawrenceburg Cemetery.
GOLDIE BEASLEY
Goldie Lee Camic Beasley, 90, of Court Street (Lawrenceburg), died Saturday, September 20, 2003 at Frankfort Regional Medical Center in Frankfort.
Born April 12, 1913 in Mercer County, she was the daughter of the late Clay D. and Pearl Bell Stratton Camic. She was the widow of Gilbert Beasley.
She was a retired Austin Nichols Distillery employee and a member of Lawrenceburg First Baptist Church.
Survivors include: three sisters, Ruby Robinson of Indiana, Susie (Walter) Cox, Anderson County, and Margie Perry of Franklin County; two brothers, Clifton (Ruby) Camic, Waddy, and J. C. Camic, Louisville. She was preceded in death by two sisters, Mae Hungate and Pauline Kirby, and one brother, Roy D. Camic.
Graveside services were held Tuesday, September 23, at Sunset Memorial Gardens in Franklin County with Bro. Rick Shannon officiating.
Gash Memorial Chapel in Lawrenceburg was in charge of arrangements.
Pallbearers were Bobby Cox, Larry Camic, Terry Camic, Ray Perry, Keith Camic, Billy Camic, Donnie Brown and Doug Perry.
J. T. CAREY
J. T. Carey, 78, of Battle Road, Mackville, died Saturday, September 13, 2003 at his residence.
Born May 23, 1925 in Washington County, he was the son of the late Andrew and Willie Bell Gabhart Carey.
He was a member of Mackville Baptist Church where he served as a deacon, Sunday School teacher and choir director.
He was a farmer, a former magistrate, an army veteran of World War II and a longtime employee of the Washington County Co-op Tobacco Warehouse.
Survivors include: his wife, Dorothy “Dot” Carrier Carey; two daughters, Angela (Jesse) Arnold and Teresa (Perry) White; one brother, Richard Carey, all of Mackville; four sisters, Mary Helen Stallings and Mrs. C. H. (Mabel) Carney, both of Springfield, Mrs. William Leo (Jenetta) Hinton and Katheryn Wheatley, both of Louisville; three grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a son, David Wayne Carey, one brother, Paul Carey, and one sister, Lola Beavers.
Funeral services were held Tuesday, September 16, at the Mackville Baptist Church with Bro. John Pennington and Bro. Mark Stuart officiating. Burial was in Peter Cemetery, Mackville.
Pallbearers were Richard Allen Carey, Sandy Carey, Mike Wheatley, Tony Warner, Henry Beavers and Buddy Riley. Anita Louise Reid Covington, 56, 637 Wren Street, died Saturday, September 20, 2003 at her residence.
Born May 3, 1947 in Harrodsburg, she was the daughter of E. P. Reid, Harrodsburg, and the late Georgia Lee Thompson.
She was a 1965 graduate of Harrodsburg High School, the office manager for Joy Temporary Services of Harrodsburg, a former employee of Matsushita of Danville, and was the former executive secretary for the St. Peter AME Church.
She was active with the Roots and Heritage program, a former member of the West Lane Park board, and a member of St. Peter AME Church and attended Centennial Baptist Church.
Survivors include: her husband, Delward Clarence Covington, Harrodsburg; two sons, Harold B. Wilhite, Jr., Cincinnati, OH and Andrew L. Wilhite, Harrodsburg; one brother James E. Johnson, Seoul, Korea; and three grandchildren.
Funeral services were held Wednesday, September 24, at the Centennial Baptist Church by Elder J. D. Short, III and Rev. Warren Dolphus. Burial was in Maple Grove Cemetery.
Pallbearers were Harold Wilhite, Sr., George Wilhite, Andy Harris, Robert Harris, Jim Pittman and Chris Short.

Juanita S. Gentry, 82 of 476 East Lexington Street, died Sunday, September 21, 2003, at her residence.
Born August 21, 1921, in Lawrenceburg, she was the daughter of the late Robert Spenser, Sr. and Carie Dedman Spenser. She was the widow of Richard C. Gentry, Sr.
She was a homemaker and a member of the Harrodsburg Christian Church.
Survivors include: two daughters: Spenser (Jerry) Bentley, Haverhill, OH, Susan Gentry, Naples, FL; one son, Lee (Martha) Gentry, Harrods-burg; two granddaughters, Stacy Johnston and Amy Prichard; one grandson, Sam Gentry; one great grandchild, Taylor Johnston. She was preceded in death by a son, Richard C. Gentry, Jr.
Funeral services were held Wednesday, September 24, at the Ransdell Funeral Chapel, with Rev. Don Chase and Rev. Jim Powell officiating. Burial was in Spring Hill Cemetery.

Keve’ Lofel Johnson, 33, Clarkston, GA, died Tuesday, September 16, 2003 at his residence.
Born January 30, 1970 in Cincinnati, OH, he was the son of the late Clarence and Lulla Yates Johnson.
He was a 1989 graduate of Harrodsburg High School, attended Eastern Kentucky University, was a self-employed tax consultant and a former member of the United Southern Baptist Church in Cincinnati.
He attended the Anointed Voices of Praise Deliverance Temple in Clarkston, GA, and was a member of the First Baptist Church in Harrodsburg.
Survivors include: his wife, Angela Clark Johnson, Clarkston, GA; two daughters, Tamera and Cameron Johnson, both of Clarkston, GA; one brother, Michael Johnson, Atlanta, GA; two sisters, Pamela Johnson, Cincinnati, OH, and Patricia Johnson, Harrodsburg. He was preceded in death by a brother, Larry Johnson, and a sister, Gwendolyn Kay Johnson.
Funeral services were held Monday, September 22, at the First Baptist Church, Broadway, Harrodsburg, by Bro. Virgil Hill. Burial was in Maple Grove Cemetery.

NANCY MARTIN
Nancy B. Martin, 82, Beaumont Avenue, Harrodsburg, died Thursday, September 11, 2003 at the Ephraim McDowell Regional Medical Center.
Born April 12, 1921 in Mercer County, she was the daughter of the late McKinley and Mattie Chumbley Anness. She was the widow of James F. “Judge” Martin.
She retired after twenty-seven years as an inspector with Corning Glass of Harrodsburg and was a member of the Pioneer Baptist Church.
Survivors include: one son Kenneth Martin, Harrodsburg; two daughters, Mrs. Thelma McDonald of Harrodsburg and Mrs. Charlie (Virginia) Jones of Georgetown; one brother McKinley Anness, Harrodsburg; two sisters Mrs. Sherman (Rosie) Votaw, Valdosta, GA, and Mrs. Irene Hambright, State College, PA; seven grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by one grandson, Ken Douglas Martin, and one great-granddaughter Destiny Irene Chilton.
Funeral services were held Saturday, September 13, 2003 at the Alexander & Royalty Funeral Home with Bro. Lewis Walter and Jim Bechtel officiating. Burial was in Spring Hill Cemetery.
