Margaret W. Huff, 83, of Danville, died Saturday, October 4, 2003 at Kings Daughters Medical Center in Ashland.
Born May 13, 1920 in Rockwood, TN, she was the daughter of the late James and Katie J. McKinney Williams. She was the widow of the late Gerald DeNise and the late Mike Huff.
She was a 1939 graduate of McKinney High School, a 1949 graduate of Deaconess Hospital Nursing School, Cincinnati, OH, and served as Assistant and Director of Nursing at Kentucky State Hospital.
She was also a former RN at Ephraim McDowell Hospital, Danville and Pattie A. Clay Hospital, Richmond, for several years and worked as Maternal and Child Health Consultant for the Department of Human Resources for a number of years.
She was a member of the St. Andrew Catholic Church.
Survivors include one daughter, Katherine Aldridge, Kitts Hill, OH; one son Gerald DeNise, Jr., MI; eight grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild. She was preceded in death by two brothers, James G. and John A. Williams, and one sister, Ann Elizabeth Mobley.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, October 9, at the St. Andrew Catholic Church with Father Joe Meunch officiating. Burial will be in the Buffalo Springs Cemetery in Stanford.
Pallbearers will be David Miracle, Steven Miracle, Aaron Austin, David W. DeNise, William DeNise, Jim Ed Williams and Dr. Hugh “Sam” Williams.
Visitation will be from 5:00 until 8:00 p.m. Wednesday and after 7:30 a.m. Thursday at the Ransdell Funeral Chapel.

STEVEN McCRADY
Steven Paul McCrady, 49, 4852 Midway Road, Midway, formerly of Harrodsburg, died Tuesday October 7, 2003 in Midway.
Born April 11, 1954 in Maquoketa, IA, he was the son of Marian Hawn McCrady, of IA and the late Paul McCrady.
He was a Thoroughbred Farm Manager for Waterford Farms in Midway.
Survivors, in addition to his mother, include: his wife, Freda Anderson McCrady, Midway; three sons, Benjamin Paul Murray McCrady, Lexington, Colton Tanner and Conner Steven McCrady, both of Midway; one daughter, Melissa Loraine Murray McCrady, Lexington; one brother, Robert McCrady, IA; and one sister, Barbara Waters, Missouri. He was preceded in death by a sister Lorraine McCrady.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Friday, October 10, at the Ransdell Funeral Chapel by Sam Stow.
Visitation will be Thursday from 5:30 until 8:00 p.m. and Friday from 7:30 am until the hour of service.
ULYSSES MEDLEY
Ulysses C. “Buck” Medley, 80, of North College Street, died Monday, October, 6, 2003 at the James B. Haggin Memorial Hospital.
Born June 16,1923 in Mercer County, he was the son of the late William and Laura Beatley Medley. He was the widower of Neoma Lee Medley.
He was a retired Cummins Airport and Ellis Brothers Garage mechanic, and a veteran of World War II.
Survivors include: one brother, Ben F. Medley, Harrodsburg; four sisters, Elsie Riley, Harrodsburg, Ann Hollingsworth, Pine Alls, FL, Mary A. Elliott and Judy B. Riley, both of Lexington. He was preceded in death by two brothers, William V. Medley Jr. and Robert Elbert Medley.
Graveside services were held Tuesday, October 7, at Spring Hill Cemetery with Bro. James Harley officiating.
Alexander & Royalty Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
DONNA MORRISSEY
Donna Jean Morrissey, 74, of 2295 Seaville Road, Willisburg, died Monday, October 6, 2003 at the University of Kentucky Medical Center in Lexington.
Born July 17, 1929 in Lexington, she was the daughter of the late Henry and Sue Taylor Minton.
She was a homemaker and an avid Bingo player.
Survivors include: her husband, James T. Morrisey, Willisburg; one daughter, Susan Morrison, Harrodsburg; one brother Walter Minton, Lexington; two grandchildren, James Scott and Jeremy Barrett Morrison, both of Harrodsburg. She was preceded in death by two brothers, William and Henry Minton Jr., and a sister, Martha Dalzell.
Memorial services will be conducted at 7:00 p.m. Friday, October 10, at the Ransdell Funeral Chapel by David Culp.

SALLY PANKEY
Sally Pankey, 61, Lakeview Point, Lancaster, died Thursday October 2, 2003 at Ephraim McDowell Regional Medical Center in Danville.
Born October 21, 1941 in Lincoln County, she was the daughter of the late Lloyd and Ella Mae Simpson Harris.
She was a graduate of the Durham School of Beauty in Danville and served as a beautician for 43 years. She was associated with Pelo, Pelo, Pelo Beauty Salon of Danville. She was a member of Buena Vista Baptist Church.
She loved to bowl, had participated in numerous national bowling tournaments and had served as secretary of the Tuesday Morning Coffee League.
Survivors include: Her husband, Alford Kyle Pankey, Lancaster; one son: Travis Kyle (Jamie) Pankey, Lancaster; three sisters: Eva Martin and Rosetta Cochran both of Stanford, and Julie Lowis of Taylorsville, IL; six brothers: John Harris, Eddie Harris and Alvin Harris all of Taylorsville, IL, Kirby Harris of Stringtown, IL, Jimmy Harris of Assumption, IL and Ralph Harris of Stanford; and one grandson. She was preceded in death by two sisters and one brother.
Funeral services were held Sunday, October 5, at the Alexander & Royalty Funeral Home with Bro. Keith Weldon and Bro. Larry Harris officiating. Burial was in Spring Hill Cemetery.
Pallbearers were nephews.

Mary Elizabeth Green Satterly, 79, widow of Marshall Satterly, of Norman’s Camp Road, died Wednesday, October 8, 2003 at her residence.

BELVE TURNER
Belve Russell Turner, 71, of Chimney Rock Road, died Wednesday, October 1, 2003 at his residence.
Born June 27, 1932 in Martin, KY he was the son of the late Belve and Audrey Oney Turner.
He was a 1950 graduate of City High School in Winchester and was a Korean War Veteran of the US Air Force.
He retired from LeRoy’s Jewelry Company and the Fayette County Schools.
He was a member of the Oleika Temple of Lexington, the VFW and was a member of the Harrodsburg United Presbyterian Church.
Survivors include: his wife, Patsy Fightmaster Whalen Turner; one daughter, Linda Turner Taulbee; three brothers, Richard, Keville and Neville Turner; two sisters, Beverly Cawood and Sue Stafford; two stepsons, Gary and Mark Whalen; two grandchildren Amanda Taulbee and Jesse Ray Coomer; two step grandchildren Kayla and Morgan Whalen. He was preceded in death by a daughter, Pamela Turner Coomer, and a brother, George Raymond Turner.
Funeral services were held Monday, October 6, at the Harrodsburg United Presbyterian Church with Rev. Dr. Joe E. Tarry officiating. Burial with Military Honors was in Lexington Cemetery.
Pallbearers were Keville Turner, Neville Turner, Bill Cawood, John Dale Turner, Paul Alexander Turner and Gary Whalen.

Alma Hardin Watts, 74, of Boone St., formerly of McAfee, died Monday, October 6, 2003 at the St. Joseph Hospital in Lexington.
Born July 30, 1929 in Lincoln County, she was the daughter of the late Eddie Harrison and Lillie May Miller Hardin. She was the widow of Isaac Watts, Sr.
She was a member of Mayo Christian Church, a homemaker, a baby sitter, a sitter for the elderly and loved animals.
Survivors include: one brother: Reuben Eddie Hardin, Lexington; one sister: Pauline Logue, Mercer County. She was preceded in death by one brother, Clyde Hardin, and three sisters, Florence Wethington, Cordie Anderson and Martha Dean.
Funeral services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Friday, October 10, at the Alexander & Royalty Funeral Home with Bro. Luther Rodgers and Bro. Bobby Logue officiating. Burial will be in Spring Hill Cemetery.

JOSEPH WATTS
Joseph "Joe" C. Watts, 73, Belmont Street, died Monday, October 6, 2003 at his residence.
Born August 20, 1930 in Mercer County, he was the son of the late Rosevelt and Easter Patrick Watts. He was the widower of Glenna Drury Watts.
He was a retired Spring Hill Cemetery employee where he served over fifty years as a gravedigger. He was a Baptist and loved to fish and watch wildlife.
Survivors include: three brothers; Luther William “Big Bill” Watts, Harrodsburg, Leslie (Brenda) Watts, Walton, and David (Linda) Watts, Lawrenceburg; three sisters; Mildred Lewis, Virgie (Bill) Peavler and Patricia (Joe) Phillips, all of Harrodsburg. He was preceded in death by three brothers, Frank, Allan and Morris Watts and one sister, Frances Murphy.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Thursday, October 9, at the Alexander & Royalty Funeral Home with Bro. James Harley and Bro. George Dye officiating. Burial will be in the Providence Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Earl Phillips, Kevin Watts, Leslie Watts, Jr., Edward Peavler, Jeff Watts, Roger Bass, Danny Snow and David Snow. Honorary bearers will be nephews.

JOE WILLIS
Joe C. Willis, 81, of Harrodsburg, died Wednesday, October 1, 2003 at the Hospice Care Center in Lexington.
Born July 24, 1922 in Cannon, KY, he was the son of the late Charles Elbert and Lucy Parrott Willis.
He was the owner of Lawrenceburg Auto Supply for 43 Years, was a member of the Calvary Baptist Church where he also served as a trustee, was a former member of the Constitution Square Dancers, and loved camping.
Survivors include: his wife, Marie Price Willis of Harrodsburg; one son, David J. (Betty) Willis, Nicholasville, one daughter Diana Willis Byrd of Harrodsburg, one step-son, William Con (Linda) Baker, Mercer County, and one step-daughter Joyce (Connie) Darland, Mercer County; five grandchildren, five step-grandchildren, six great-grandchildren and five step-great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Beatrice Peavlor Willis, and one brother Bernard Willis.
Funeral services were held Saturday, October 4, at the Alexander & Royalty Funeral Home with Bro. Stephen Ramsey officiating. Burial was in Spring Hill Cemetery.
Pallbearers were Scott Satterly, Mark Yates, Larry Long, John Allen, Willie B. Horn and Garnett Ruble. Honorary bearers were members of the Senior Men’s Sunday School class.
