ANDREW CANNON
Andrew Middleton Cannon, 70, of South College Street, died Friday, October 31, 2003 at his residence.
Born April 21, 1933 in Mercer County, he was the son of the late Ernest and Bertie Leonard Cannon.
He was a member of the Bethel #1 Cumberland Presbyterian Church, an avid basketball and wrestling fan and loved to play checkers.
Survivors include: one brother, Forrest Cannon, Harrodsburg: three sisters, Geneva Stakelin and Lorraine Kurtz, both of Lexington, and Hazel Arnold, Danville; and his caregiver, Dorris Montgomery, Harrodsburg. He was preceded in death by three brothers, Leo, Charles, and Richard Cannon, and two sisters, Violet Meredith and Martina Nooe.
Funeral services were held Monday, November 3, at the Alexander & Royalty Funeral Home with Rev. James Byrd officiating. Burial was in Spring Hill Cemetery.
Pallbearers were Gerald Maxwell Kurtz, Forrest Larry Kurtz, Art Brent Arnold, William Moore, Sr., Robert Leo Cannon and William Moore, II.
ELIZABETH DAVENPORT
Ann Elizabeth Davenport, 98, of 330 Woodsland Drive, died Tuesday, October 28, 2003.
Born July 14, 1905 in Mercer County, she was the daughter of the late Benjamin Russell and Ellen Scanlon Vivion. She was the widow of William Cornell Davenport.
She was a former bookkeeper for Bluegrass Electric and a member of the Harrodsburg Christian Church.
Survivors include two nieces and two nephews. She was preceded in death by one brother, Ben Vivion.
Funeral services were held Saturday, November 1, at the Ransdell Funeral Chapel by Bro. Don Chase. Burial was in Spring Hill Cemetery.
Memorial contributions are suggested to the Harrodsburg Christian Church.
FLOYD GODBEY
Floyd Winford Godbey, 77, of 409 Falcon Court, died Friday, October 31, 2003 at the Veterans Administration Hospital, Cooper Drive, Lexington.
Born July 6, 1926 in Liberty, he was the son of the late Joseph Nim and Matrie Wesley Godbey.
He was a self-employed farmer, a US Army veteran of World War II, a member of the VFW and a member of the Baptist church.
Survivors include: his wife, Alma Frances Tate Godbey, Harrodsburg; two daughters Janet (Virgil “Bud”) Milton, Harrodsburg, Evelyn (David) White, Lancaster; two brothers, Delmer Ray Godbey, Frankfort and Velmer Lee Godbey, Lawrenceburg; four grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his step-father, Dutch Kinder, and by two brothers and three sisters.
Funeral services were held Monday, November 3, at the Ransdell Funeral Chapel by Rev. Everett Priddy and Jimmy Reynolds. Burial was in Danville Memorial Gardens, Stanford Road in Danville with military rites.
Pallbearers were Mark, Evelyn, David, Cathy, and Nick White and Bonnie Milton.

HERSCHEL ROBINSON Jr.
Herschel B. Robinson Jr., 85, Lexington, died Saturday, October 25, 2003 at his residence.
He was the son of the late Herschel B. and Elizabeth Cornish Robinson.
He was a former employee of General Telephone, retiring after 40 years, and a former member and deacon of Ashland Avenue Baptist Church and a member of Heritage Baptist Church.
He was a member of the Lexington Masonic Lodge #1, Emulation Oleika Shrine Temple.
Survivors include: his wife, Geneva Hisel Robinson, Lexington; one son, Herschel B (Brenda) Robinson III, Raleigh, NC; one daughter, Jane (John) Powers, Versailles; one sister, Mrs. James (Nancy) Hawthorne, Harrodsburg and three grandchildren, one great-grandchild, one step granddaughter and two step-great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by two brothers and one sister.
Funeral services were held Wednesday, October 29, at Kerr Brothers Funeral Home, Lexington, with Bro. Bobby Lakes and Chaplain Mike Powers officiating.
Pallbearers were his two grandsons, James D. Hawthorne, Jackie Robinson, John Ballard and Alan Hisel. Honorary bearers were members of Bro. Lewis Marcum’s Sunday School class, Charles Blankenship, Charles Hazelwood Oscar Hisel, Bobby Roberts, Fred Hearn, Buddy Chipley, Don and Bill Hacker.

LIZZIE ROBINSON
Lizzie Cox Robinson, age 101, formerly of Harrodsburg, died Thursday, October 30, 2003 at the Danville Center for Health and Rehabilitation.
Born April 24, 1902 in Anderson County, she was the daughter of the late Benjamin Franklin and Almyra Overstreet Cox. She was the widow of Hugh B. Robinson.
She was a homemaker and a member of the Eller's Memorial Baptist Church.
Survivors include one son, William (Wilma) Robinson, Burgin; two daughters, Magdalene (Jasper) Pitt, of TN, and Elizabeth (Charles) Hardin, Harrodsburg; one sister, Margaret Spaulding, Lawrenceburg; and 12 grandchildren. She was preceded in death by two sons, Nathan Robinson and Hugh Robinson, Jr.; three daughters, Josephine Phillips, Marie Robinson and Albertine Hayslett, and five brothers and five sisters.
Funeral services were held Sunday, November 2, at the Ransdell Funeral Chapel by Bro. Kenneth Whitehouse. Burial was in Ebenezer Cemetery in Mercer County.
Pallbearers were Charles and Harold Pitt, Doug Robinson, Mike Patterson, Brian Sallee, and Tony Pinkston.

ROBERT SMITH
Robert Lee Smith, 58, of Shadowbrook Drive Harrodsburg, died Thursday Oct. 30, 2003 at the Ephraim McDowell Regional Medical Center in Danville.
Born May 6, 1945 in Mercer County, he was the son of Elizabeth Snow Smith, Harrodsburg, and the late Russell Smith.
He was a U.S. Army veteran of Vietnam, an assembly line worker at Square D in Lexington, and was a member of the Pioneer Baptist Church. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, the outdoors, and being around children.
Survivors, in addition to his mother, include: two sons Randall "Randy" Lee Smith and Joseph Daniel Smith, both of Harrodsburg; three brothers, Russell Gene Smith, Frankfort, Marshall Richard Smith, Harrodsburg, James Douglas Smith, Hustonville; and one sister, Carolyn Sue Masters, Mackville.
Funeral services were held Sunday, November 2, at the Alexander & Royalty Funeral Home with Bro. Donnie Releford officiating. Burial with military rites was in Hopewell Baptist Church Cemetery.
Pallbearers were Shaun Coffman, Chris Searcy, James Brummett, Harold Driskel, William Carter and Bobby Bailey.
NANCY WARNER
Nancy Coker Warner, 66, of South Greenville Street, Harrodsburg, died Tuesday, November 4, 2003 at the Ephraim McDowell Regional Medical Center.
Born January 6, 1937 in Mercer County, she was the daughter of the late John and Beulah Peavler Coker.
She was retired from Modine in Harrodsburg and was a member of the Fellowship Baptist Church. She enjoyed quilting, collecting rocks, watching birds, and raising roses.
Survivors include: one son John (Sheri) Warner, Harrodsburg; two daughters, Kimberly Baker Smith and Lynne Warner (Logan) Lynn, both of Harrodsburg; two sisters, Amanda Tyler and Tilda Coslow, both of Harrodsburg; eight grandchildren and one great-grandchild. She was preceded in death by a brother, Samuel Coker, and a sister, Mary Gowins.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Friday, November 7, at the Alexander & Royalty Funeral Home with Bro. James Harley and Bro. Paul Readnour officiating. Burial will be in Spring Hill Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be John Martin Warner, Spencer Warner, Lee Thomas Baker, Logan Adams Lynn II, Bobby Dixon, and Logan Lynn.
Visitation will be from 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. Thursday and after 7:00 a.m. Friday at the funeral home.

PATSY WEBB
Patsy June Webb, 60, Hogue Lane, died Monday, November 3, 2003 at her residence.
Born June 3, 1943 in Mercer County, she was the daughter of Christine Carey Houp of Harrodsburg and the late Virgil Houp.
She was a member of Shawnee Run Baptist Church, a former supervisor at Cricketeer for a number of years and a graduate of Barrett Beauty School of Nicholasville.
She was instrumental in starting a Kentucky Chapter for ALS and had traveled to Washington DC having met with President George Bush, congressmen and senators while working to help create a bill in Congress which would help expedite Medicare Funds for patients suffering from ALS.
Survivors, in addition to her mother, include: her husband, Donnie Webb; one daughter, Dana (Bill) Erwin, Burgin; one brother, Clifford (Patricia) Houp, Harrodsburg; and special caregivers, Pam Whitehouse and Margaret Johnson. She was preceded in death by her brother, Ed Houp.
Funeral services were held Wednesday, November 5, at Shawnee Run Baptist Church with Bro. Fred Cummins, Bro. Lester Tirey, and Gary Story officiating. Burial was in Shawnee Run Baptist Church Cemetery.
Pallbearers were Jim Carpenter, Bobby Carpenter, Harold Moore, Scottie Anderson, Jerry Farthing, Bill Erwin, Ed Houp, Jr. and Elvin Carey.

MARY WHITEHOUSE
Mary Elizabeth Ferriell Whitehouse, 91, of Lawrenceburg, died Wednesday, October 29, 2003 at the Heritage Hall Care Center.
Born December 30, 1911 in Jefferson County, she was the daughter of the late Thomas Fidilis Ferriell and Allie Virginia Lamie Ferriell. She was the widow of the late Manson Whitehouse.
She was a homemaker and a member of the Glensboro Baptist Church.
Survivors include: one son, David M. (Louise) Whitehouse, Lawrenceburg; eight grandchildren, Jennifer (Brad) Devries, Louisville, Jill (Sonny) Ransdell, Harrodsburg, Julie (Randy) Mann, Louisville; John (Julie) Sparrow, Louisville, Janie (Brian) Cheek, Louisville, David Gillman (Margie) Whitehouse, Bowling Green, Kimberly (Lee) Moore, Lawrenceburg, and Wendy Hellard of Lawrenceburg; one sister, Helen (Walt) Fisher, Louisville; and former son-in-law, Dr. A. Burt (Connie) Sparrow, Louisville; and 21 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a daughter, Barbara Wayne Sparrow; four brothers, Ed, Gus, T. J. and Bill Ferriell; and a sister, Lucille Amos.
Funeral services were held Saturday, November 1, at the Ritchie & Peach Funeral Home with Bro. Howard Curtis Whitehouse officiating. Burial was in the Best Cemetery in Anderson County.

MARVIN CLARK
Marvin E. Clark, 75, 766 Catlett Road, died Thursday, November 6, 2003 at the Ephraim McDowell Regional Medical Center in Danville.
Born February 14, 1928 in Greens Fork, IN, he was the son of the late Clarence and Loraine Kenny Clark.
He was a retired mechanical engineer for the Eaton Manufacturing Plant, a 32nd Degree Mason of the Mercer Masonic Lodge 777 F&AM, member of the Oleika Shrine Temple, member of the Wilderness Shrine Club, member of the Scottish Rite, and was a Pioneer of Harrodsburg.
He was a Kentucky Colonel, member of the American Model Plane Association and a pilot.
He designed the first automobile air conditioner, was the chief engineer for the Ford Motor Company for several years and worked on the Limousine formerly used by President John F. Kennedy.
He was a veteran of World War II and a member of the Harrodsburg Christian Church.
Survivors include: his wife, Fern L. Keeling Clark, Harrodsburg; three sons, Kirk Allen Clark, Los Angeles, CA, David Duane Clark, Frankfort, and Max Edward Clark, Harrodsburg; one daughter, Patricia Ann Lewis, Harrodsburg; twelve grandchildren, and one great-grandchild.
Memorial services were held Saturday, November 7, at the Ransdell Funeral Chapel by Don Chase.
