Harold D. Sevedge, 76, of Beech Grove, IN, died March 19, 2000 at St. Francis Hospital in Beech Grove.
He was a Linotype operator for CE Pauly and Co. and retired in 1981 after 26 years. He worked for ConAir for two years.
He was navy veteran of World War II.
He was a member of the First Baptist Church of Beech Grove, Pleasant Lodge No 134 of Acton, American Legion Beech Grove Post #276, and the Indianapolis Typographical Union #1.
Survivors include: his wife, Evelyn W. Edwards Sevedge, Beech Grove; one daughter, Deborah Richmond, Beech Grove; one brother-in-law, Ben Edwards, Harrodsburg; two granddaughters.
Funeral services were held Wednesday, March 22, at the Little and Sons Beech Grove Chapel. Burial was in Spring Hill Cemetery, Harrodsburg.
IRENE BLEDSOE
Irene Russell Bledsoe, 87, of Paducah, formerly of Springfield, died Monday, March 13, 2000 at the Western Baptist Hospital in Paducah.
A native of Washington County, she was born September 11,1912 daughter of the late Charlie and Katie Carpenter Russell.
She was a member of the Beechland Baptist Church in Louisville, a member of the Guiding Star Chapter #450, Order of the Eastern Star in Springfield, and was a school teacher for 35 years teaching in Washington and Jefferson counties.
Survivors include: one daughter, Mrs. Neil (Renee) Adams, of Paducah; two sons, Russell Bledsoe, Frankfort and Charles Edward Bledsoe, Sr., of Shepherdsville; three sisters, Mrs. Jess (Geneva) Warfield, Jackson, TN, Violet Faye Warner, Harrodsburg, and Dorothy Jean Wallace, Louisville; two brothers, J. M. Russell, Perryville and Charles Russell, Jr., of Mackville. seven grandchildren and four great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by two sisters, Christine Russell and Wanda Lindsey; and three brothers, G. W. Russell, Marvin Russell and Willie Russell.
Funeral services were held Thursday, March 16, at the Carey and Son Funeral Home with Rev. Kenneth Hollis, officiating. Burial was in the Beech Grove Cemetery.
Pallbearers were Charles Edward Bledsoe, Sr., Billy Russell, Mike Russell, Charlie Russell III, Tony Warner and Harry Lee Harmon.
NANCY WHITE
Nancy Grigsby White, 68, of West Lexington Avenue, Danville, died Sunday, March 19, 2000 at Central Baptist Hospital in Lexington.
Born March 27, 1931, she was the daughter of the late Charles and Grace Grigsby. She was the widow of John Daniel White Jr.
She was a retired LPN, having worked at Friendship House, and a member of the National Nursing Association.
She was a member of First Baptist Church.
Survivors include: one daughter, Jennifer Johnson, Lancaster; two sons, Joel B. White, Burgin, John D. White, Falmouth; four brothers, Bill Grigsby and Bob Grigsby, both of Harrodsburg; Buddy Grigsby, Broniburg, SC, and David Grigsby, Naylor, MD; three sisters, Grace Logston, Danville, Dottie Vaught, Salvisa, and Glena Ellen Fredrick, Flemingsburg.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m., Thursday, March 23, at Stith Funeral Home in Danville. Burial will be in Bellevue Cemetery, Danville.
Visitation from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
TRUMAN RILEY
Truman Dudley Riley, 89, of 1180 Riley Lane, Lawrenceburg, died Monday, March 20, 2000 at the Frankfort regional Medical Center.
He was a native of Anderson County, son of the late Leonard Dudley and Ethel Satterly Riley.
He was a retired farmer and the oldest member of the Goshen Baptist Church, a former deacon, and Chairman of the Deacons.
Survivors include: his wife of 65 years, Erma Disponett Riley, Lawrenceburg; one son, Robert Allen (Joy) Riley, Lawrenceburg; one daughter, Barbara (Ralph) Moss, Campbellsville; one sister, Alma Disponett, Harrodsburg; six grandchildren and one great grandchild. He was preceded in death by five brothers, Sidney, Byron, Lowell, Lewis and Marvin Riley.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Thursday, March 23, at Gash Memorial Chapel in Lawrenceburg with Bro. Fred Knickerbocker officiating. Burial will be in Lawrenceburg Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Darrell Gabhart, Glen Rogers Jr., Franklin Cole, Donald Riley, J. B. Riley and David Booth.

AUSTIN GOODPASTER
Austin B. Goodpaster, 14, of 1778 Talmage-Mayo Road, died Wednesday, March 22, 2000 at the University of Kentucky Medical Center in Lexington.
Born June 21, 1985 in Harrodsburg, he was the son of Kenny B. Goodpaster and Tina Ransdell Murphy and Brian Murphy.
He was a student at Mercer County High School, a member of the Mercer County FFA and a member of Immanuel Baptist Church.
Survivors, in addition to his parents, include: two brothers, Dale and Jordan Goodpaster, Harrodsburg; one sister, Shannon Goodpaster; one step brother, Bradley Murphy; one step sister, Brooke Murphy; maternal grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Curtis Ransdell; paternal grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Clarence Goodpaster; maternal great grandmother, Mrs. Martha Robinson, Lawrenceburg.
Funeral services were held Saturday, March 25, at the Immanuel Baptist Church with Barry Harman, Barry Jeffries and Randy McPheron officiating. Burial was in Spring Hill Cemetery.
Pallbearers were Curt Ransdell, Darren Ransdell, David Curtis Ransdell, Len Goodpaster, Jimmy Goodpaster, Lee Wilson, Clay Wilson, Danny Brock and Larry Robinson. Honorary bearers were members of the Mercer County FFA.

LORINE SNOOK
Lorine Snook, 72, of Jackson, MI died Wednesday, March 22, 2000 in Jackson.
Born March 1, 1928 in Marion County, she was the daughter of the late Cecil and Willie Neal Francis Waits. She was the widow of Fred Snook.
She had worked as a waitress and was a member of the Baptist faith.
Survivors include: two sisters, Anna Mae Haney, Salvisa, and Betty Jo Wilson, Lexington; one brother, Cecil Francis Jr., Mercer County, and Robert Waits, Norridgewok, ME.
Graveside services were held Monday, March 27, at the Hillcrest Cemetery in Lexington. There was no visitation.

ODIS OAKS
Odis Alfred Oaks, 54, of Hwy. 1247, Waynesburg, died Wednesday, March 22, 2000 at the Medical College of Virginia, Richmond, VA.
Born August 2, 1945 in Lincoln County, he was the son of the late Charlie and Pearl Simpson Oaks.
He was a former employee of Matushita in Danville and a member of Mt. Hebron Baptist Church.
He was a US Army veteran of the Vietnam era.
Survivors include: his wife, Donna Smith Oaks, Waynesburg; two daughters, Kim Stonecipher, Columbia, Courtney Oaks, Waynesburg; two step sons, Michael Stumph, Lawrenceburg, and Matthew Stumph, Harrodsburg; one step daughter, Susan Abrams, Harrodsburg; five brothers, Kenneth, Paul and David Oaks, Waynesburg, Clyde Oaks, Stanford, and Dennis Oaks, Danville; two sisters, Ruth Rector and Martha Ann Farmer, both of Waynesburg; one step grandchild.
Funeral services were held Sunday, March 26, at Fox Funeral Home in Stanford, with Bro. Dan Gutenson officiating. Burial was in Mt. Hebron Cemetery.
HORACE SQUIFFLET
Dr. Horace Thomas Squifflet, 86, of Charleston Greene, Danville, died Friday, March 24, 2000 at the Ephraim McDowell Regional Medical Center in Danville.
Born January 5, 1914 in Harrodsubrg, he was the son of the late Thomas A Squifflet and Edna Ison Squifflet. He was the widower of Willa Mae Shearer Squifflet.
He was a retired dentist, a graduate of the University of Louisville Dental School and Centre College.
He was a former member of the American Dental Association, the Kentucky Dental Association and was past president of the Danville Country Club.
He was a former Harrodsburg commissioner, a Kentucky Colonel and a member of the Harrodsburg United Methodist Church.
Survivors include: three daughters, Jean S. Hurt, Murray, Jane S. Phillips, Versailles, and Mary Ann Witt, Stanford; one sister, Mary Louise Irvine, Danville; three grandchildren.
Graveside services were held Monday, March 27, in Spring Hill Cemetery, with Bro. Odis Clark officiating.
Honorary pallbearers were members of The Coffee Club.

Helen Smith Ingram, 80, of 3069 Bonanza Drive, Lexington, died Monday, March 20, 2000 at her residence.
Born September 20, 1919 in Harrodsburg, she was the daughter of the late Thomas and Cora Smith. She was the widow of Brack Ingram.
She was a member of the Pleasant Green Missionary Baptist Church in Lexington.
Survivors include: four daughters, Cora Simpson, Roslyn Fisher and Carol Jett, all of Lexington, and Lecrecie (Dwight) Swearingan, Cincinnati; two sons, Douglas (Billie Sue) Ingram, Lexington, and William Ingram, Cincinnati, OH; one step son, James Ingram, Lexington; one step daughter, Patricia Taylor, Cincinnati, OH; two sisters-in-law, Laura Black and Mattie Ingram, both of Lexington; 45 grandchildren, 86 great grandchildren, and 16 great great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by two infant sons, Charles and Albert Lee; one daughter, Ruby Ingram, and a granddaughter, Vikki Yvonne Ingram.
Funeral services were held Saturday, March 25 at Pleasant Green Missionary Baptist Church. Burial was in Bluegrass Memorial Gardens.

VIOLET BASTIN
Violet Asbury Bastin, 86, of Cutoff Street, Stanford, died Monday, March 27, 2000 at Fort Logan Hospital in Stanford.
A native of Green County she was born April 23, 1913 to the late James and Mary Bell Asbury. She was the widow of Marvin M. Bastin.
She was a homemaker and member of the Stanford Baptist Church. She was a former DAR member and member of Gideon International Auxiliary.
Survivors include: two sons, Michael Bastin, Stanford, and Randy Bastin, Falmouth; four daughters, Shirley Seube, Glasgow, Van Munford, Stanford, Doris Pardee, Harrodsburg, and Judy Whittaker, Stanford; two sisters, Kathryn Jones, Buffalo, and Norma Jewell, Hardyville; 13 grandchildren, 12 great grandchildren, four great great grandchildren.
Funeral services were held Wednesday, March 29, at Fox Funeral Home in Stanford, with Bro. Tim Boschen officiating. Burial was in Houk Cemetery in Edmonton.
Pallbearers were grandsons, Timothy Pardee, Mickey Pardee, Rodney Munford, Jason May, Nicholas Bastin and Joshua Bastin.
MICHAEL DIX
Michael Dix, 36, of 702 Meadowbrook Lane, died Tuesday, March 28, 2000 at his residence.
Born December 15, 1963 in Denver, CO, he was the son of Dee Dix of Denver and Tim Dix of Sequim, WA.
He was a carpenter and had worked for Experienced Drywall and Acoustics in Danville.
Survivors, in addition to his parents, include: two daughters, Jessica and Morgan Dix, both of Harrodsburg; one sister, Tina Dix, Denver, CO; two brothers, Mark Dix, Denver, CO and Bob Dix, CO.
A memorial service will be held at 7:00 p.m. Friday, March 31, 2000 at the Alexander and Royalty Funeral Home.
There will be no visitation.
