Nancy Robinson Hawthorne, 76, Seaville Road, wife of James E. Hawthorne, died Friday, Nov. 5, 2004 at The James B. Haggin Hospital.
Born March 27, 1928 in Fayette County, she was a daughter of the late Herschel and Elizabeth Cornish Robinson.
She was retired from Corning Glass Works after 37 years, a Kentucky Colonel, a member of Mt. Freedom Baptist Church in Washington County where she was a former teacher of the Senior Adult Ladies Sunday School Class, a former member of the Eastern Star, and a 1946 graduate of Willisburg High School.
In addition to her husband, survivors include: one son, James D. (Jenny ) Hawthorne of Harrodsburg; two granddaughters, and three great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by one sister, Ann Robinson, and three brothers, James D. Robinson, William T. Robinson, and Herschel Robinson Jr.
The funeral was held Tuesday, Nov. 9 at Mt. Freedom Baptist Church with Bro. Kirk Greenfield and Bro. John McDaniel officiating. Burial was in Bethel Baptist Church Cemetery.
Arrangements were handled by Gash Memorial Chapel in Lawrenceburg.
HUNTER NOEL
Hunter Noel, 72, North Greenville Street, died Thursday, Nov. 4, 2004 at the Central Baptist Hospital in Lexington.
Born July 22, 1932 in Mercer County, he was a son of the late Henry and Nannie Peach Noel.
He was a U.S. Army veteran of the Korean War. He was retired from the Danville Leaf Tobacco Company in Danville
Survivors include: one sister, Betty (Billy Joe) Hill of Harrodsburg, and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by two brothers, Bobbie Noel and Billy Noel.
The funeral was conducted Saturday, Nov. 6 at the Spring Hill Cemetery with Dr. Kenneth Whitehouse officiating with burial following.
Arrangements were handled by Alexander and Royalty Funeral Home.
DAKOTA WHITENACK
Dakota Whitenack, four days, daughter of Charles Anthony and Tracey Louise Logan Whitenack, died Wednesday, Nov. 3, 2004 at the Central Baptist Hospital in Lexington.
In addition to her parents, survivors include: her maternal grandmother, Ada Logan of Harrodsburg; her maternal grandfather, John Logan of Harlan; her maternal great-grandmothers, Jean Perkins of Harrodsburg and Thelma Logan of Harlan; her paternal grandmother, Mary W. Baker of Harrodsburg, and her paternal great-grandmother, Elizabeth Abt of Lincoln County.
The funeral was held Saturday, Nov. 6 at the Ransdell Funeral Chapel with Rev. Derek Baker officiating. Burial was in the Mt. Pleasant Presbyterian Church Cemetery.
Memorial contributions are suggested to the Mt. Pleasant Presbyterian Church.
RUBY WILDER
Ruby Donovan Wilder, 91, Louisville, formerly of Harrodsburg, widow of Ralph E. Wilder, died Thursday, Nov. 4, 2004 at Jefferson Manor in Louisville.
She was born Sept. 28, 1913 in Illinois.
She was a member of First Baptist Church of Middletown, the Middletown Order of the Eastern Star and the Middletown Women’s Club.
Survivors include: one daughter, Jeri Wilder Wolfe of Louisville; two sisters, Mildred Bailey of Harrodsburg and Rosalind Freeman of Louisville; one sister-in-law, Mary Helen Horn of Owensboro; one brother-in-law, Dr. Horace D. Wilder of Louisville, and two grandsons.
The funeral was conducted Monday, Nov. 8 at Pearson-Ratterman Brothers Funeral Home, 12900 Shelbyville Road, Louisville. Burial was in Spring Hill Cemetery.
Expressions of sympathy may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association or to the American Heart Association.
OMER BROWN JR.
Omer Gilbert Brown Jr., 57, Hardin Heights, Burgin, died Monday, Nov. 15, 2004 at the St. Joseph Hospital Hospice Care Center in Lexington.
Born March 29, 1947 in Harrodsburg, he was a son of Lucy Lane Brown of Harrodsburg and the late Omer G. Brown Sr.
He was a retired employee of Matsushita Corporation in Danville having worked in the inventory control department and was a member of the Baptist church.
Survivors include: two daughters, Sandra (Terry) Currens and Kelli (Ryan) Wilcher, both of Harrodsburg; seven sisters, Pauline Lands of Danville, Mary Rose (Ronnie) Smith and Doris Brown, both of Harrodsburg, Alma (Bob) Edgington of Celina, TN, Phyllis Sue (Martin) Hathaway of Okalahoma City, OK, Ila (Ron) Homsher of Pacifica, CA and Lana (Gary) Callahan of Fort Collins, CO; two granddaughters, and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by one brother, Dr. Larry W. Brown.
The funeral will be today, Thursday, Nov. 18 at 2 p.m. at the Ransdell Funeral Chapel with Bros. Ralph Neal and Lester Tirey officiating. Burial will be in the Spring Hill Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Jim Neal, Leon Leonard, Robert Brown, Morris Hayes, Frank Russell and Jimmie Currens.
Honorary pallbearers will be Carlos Lane, Keith Currens, Irvan Collins, Bob Bryant, David Moore, Dave Wall, Reggie Clark, Bernie McGlone, Mark Hensley and Wayne Mayes.
Visitation Wednesday from 5 until 9 p.m. and Thursday after 7:30 a.m. at the chapel.

ELAINE CORN
Elaine McGaughey Corn, 69, Versailles Road, Lawrenceburg, wife of Maurice Corn, died Sunday, Nov. 14, 2004 at Central Baptist Hospital in Lexington.
Born Aug. 16, 1935 in Anderson County, she was a daughter of John A. McGaughey Sr. of Lawrenceburg and the late Hazel Mae Duncan McGaughey.
She was co-owner of Corn’s Metal Sales in Lawrenceburg and was co-recipient with her husband of the 1990 Meritorious Service Award at Farm City Days, 1981 Service to Agriculture Award from Anderson County Farm Bureau, and the 1981 Anderson County Master Homemaker award. She was a member of the Sand Spring Baptist Church since 1947 and of the Faithful Workers Sunday School Class and also taught Sunday school there, served five terms on the Farm Home Advisory Committee for Southern States, was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star Hamilton Chapter #293, a member of the Anderson County Farm Bureau board and the Dept. of Agriculture Farm Service Agency board, a housewife and a dairy farmer.
In addition to her husband, survivors include: three daughters, Patricia Elaine (Kenneth) Eldridge, Pamela Susan Corn and Marla Jo Smith, all of Lawrenceburg; two sons, Larry Maurice (Tina) Corn of Woodford County and John Michael (Lisa) Corn of Lawrenceburg; one sister, Wilma L. (Dale) Flygstad, and one brother, Leslie Joe (Barbara) McGaughey, both of Lawrenceburg; one sister-in-law, Shirley Chilton McGaughey of Lawrenceburg; 10 grandchildren; five great-grandchildren, and three step great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by one brother, John Alvin McGaughey Jr.
The funeral was held Wednesday, Nov. 17 at the Sand Spring Baptist Church with Dr. Mike Hamrick officiating. Burial was in the Lawrenceburg Cemetery.
The Order of the Eastern Star service was held Tuesday evening at the funeral home.
Pallbearers were Troy and Jay Alsabrook, Austin and Justin Corn, Tyler Smith and Donald Ray Brumback.
Honorary pallbearers were granddaughters, The Faithful Workers Sunday School class, Tanisha Alsabrook, Brenda Naylor and Rita Edington.

RUBY DEAN
Ruby Alice Murphy Dean, 93, Virginia Avenue, Lawrenceburg, died Wednesday, Nov. 10, 2004 at the Frankfort Regional Medical Center in Frankfort.
Born April 14, 1911 in Anderson County, she was a daughter of the late Charlie and Dessie Lee Harley Murphy and the widow of William Chester Dean.
She was a homemaker, a member of the Anderson County Senior Citizens, a senior companion, and a member of the Full Gospel Assembly of God Church in Lawrenceburg.
Survivors include: three daughters, Grace (Stewart) Perry and Doris Carmickle, both of Lawrenceburg, and Nancy (William Carroll) Wooldridge of Waddy; four sons, James (Hazel) Dean of Junction City, KS, Vernon (Patsy) Dean of Harrodsburg, Richard Dean and Harold (Pam) Dean, both of Lawrenceburg; 16 grandchildren, one step grandson, 14 great-grandchildren; one step great-granddaughter, and three great-great -grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by one daughter, Mary Helen Dean; one sister, Annie Mae Thompson, and one brother, Bill Murphy.
The funeral was held Saturday, Nov. 13 at the Full Gospel Assembly of God Church with Bro. Jack Smith and Bro. Mark Studler officiating. Burial was in the Fairview Church Cemetery.
Pallbearers were grandsons Walter Carmickle, Kevin Dean and Richard Dean Jr., Chad and Michael Wooldridge and Tony and Ryan Dean.
Honorary pallbearers were Mark Catlett, Joe Page and Ray Cox.

PAULINE HARRIS
Pauline Harris, 74, 176 Cedar Wood Lane, died Friday, Nov. 12, 2004 at Ephraim McDowell Regional Medical Center in Danville.
Born July 22, 1930 in Harrodsburg, she was a daughter of the late Will and Katie Dearing Click and the widow of William Harris.
She was a homemaker and a member of the Immanuel Baptist Church.
Survivors include: one daughter, Paula Smyth of Danville; one sister, Sonia (Curtis) Currens of Salvisa, and two grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by two brothers, William Click and Gene Click, and two sisters, Lena Darland and Kathryn Russell.
The funeral was held Monday, Nov. 15 at the Ransdell Funeral Chapel with Reverends Joe Smith and Dale Denton officiating. Burial was in the Spring Hill Cemetery.
Pallbearers were William Leonard, Curtis and Barry Currens, Chad Elmore, John Feather and Steve Campbell.

HOWARD HAWKINS
Howard Winfield Hawkins, 76, West Alexandria, OH, widower of Dollie A. McMahan Hawkins, died Sunday, Nov. 7, 2004.
Born Nov. 30, 1927 in Mercer County, he was the son of the late Keane and Ruth Hawkins.
Survivors include: one daughter, Ruby Ann Sowry of West Milton, OH; two sisters, Ruby VanDiver of Harrodsburg and Jackie (Lenny) Ettinger of Florida; two grandsons; three nieces and two nephews.
He was preceded in death by one daughter, Sandy Hawkins, and one grandson, Fred Sowry.
The funeral was held Thursday, Nov. 11 at the Rogers Funeral Home, 324 W. Main Street, New Lebanon, OH with Pastor Clyde O. Waites officiating. Burial was in the Royal Oak Memorial Gardens Mausoleum.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Hospice of Dayton or to the American Heart Association in memory of Howard.
