Harold Truman Goodlett, 71, Cornishville Street, husband of Hildred Pauline Lane Goodlett, died Tuesday, March 9, 2004 at his residence.
Born February 5, 1933 in Washington County, he was the son of the late Thurman and Ruth Lillian Sanders Goodlett.
He was a retired owner of Thurman Goodlett and Sons, a Kentucky Colonel, and a member and trustee of the Fellowship Baptist Church where he also served as a Sunday School teacher.
In addition to his wife, survivors include: three sons, Gerald Wayne (Betty) Goodlett of Mackville, Lawrence Gene Goodlett of Harrodsburg, and Eddie Warnell (Allison) Goodlett of Harrodsburg; one daughter, Ruth Ellen (Rick) Curtsinger of Harrodsburg; a brother, A. E. Goodlett of Lexington; two sisters, Josephine Devine of Harrodsburg and Eloise Woods of Salvisa; eleven grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
The funeral will be conducted Friday, March 12th at 1:30 p.m. at the Ransdell Funeral Chapel with Rev. James Harley officiating. Burial will be in the Spring Hill Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Thurman Gene Goodlett, Jerry Wayne Goodlett, Frankie Edwards, Dennis Morgeson, Robert Tate and Rick Moberly.
Honorary bearers will be Connie Gillis, Tony Suaraz, Harry Virden, James "Frog" Railey, Gene Curtsinger, Forrest Devine, Tony Curtsinger, Bob Baker, Tyler Goodlett and Stevie Goodlett.
Visitation will be after 5 p.m. Thursday and after 7:30 a.m. Friday at the chapel.

VINA BOYD
Vina M. Boyd, 56, of Latimer Heights, Danville, died Wednesday, March 10, 2004 at her residence.
Born April 13, 1947 in Harrodsburg she was the daughter of Rachel Annelle Baker Collier of Harrodsburg and the late William T. Collier.
She had served as a waitress for Jerry's Restaurant and was a charter member of Grace Baptist Church. She enjoyed crocheting, was an avid UK Basketball fan and was a member of the Moreland Fire Department Ladies Auxiliary.
In addition to her mother, survivors include: two sons, Richard Todd (Teresa) Boyd of Hustonville and Earl Douglas Darland Jr. of Harrodsburg; one daughter, Martrisha Kay (Gerald) Claunch of Harrodsburg; one brother, David T. (Patty) Collier of Harrodsburg; one sister, Sandy (Lonnie) Sanders of Harrodsburg, and four grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by one grandchild.
The funeral was held at 1 p.m. Saturday at the Alexander and Royalty Funeral Home with Bro. David Collier and Bro. Barry Harmon officiating. Burial was in the Spring Hill Cemetery.
Pallbearers were Joe Lanham, Blake Lanham, Mike Jenkins, Mike Maples, J. T. Thomas and Joe Thomas.

CHRISTINE HOUP
Christine Carey Houp, 88, of Shakertown Road, widow of Virgil Houp, died Wednesday, March 10, 2004 at the Ephraim McDowell Regional Medical Center.
Born April 26, 1915 in Mercer County she was the daughter of the late Andy and Laura Tyler Carey.
She was an employee of the Burgin Post Office and a member of Shawnee Run Baptist Church. She enjoyed gardening, flowers and quilting.
Survivors include: a son, Clifford Houp; nine grandchildren, and several great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by one son, Edmund Houp; one daughter, Patsy Houp Webb; one granddaughter: Kimberly Houp; four brothers, William, Herbert, Frank and Omer Carey, and one sister, Hulda Peavler.
The funeral was held at 2:30 p.m. Saturday at the Shawnee Run Baptist Church with Bro. Lester Tirey officiating. Burial was in the Shawnee Run Baptist Church Cemetery.
Pallbearers were Jimmy Houp, Paul Douglas Houp, Eddie Houp Jr., Donnie Webb, Bill Erwin, Bobby Carpenter, Elvin Carey and Kenneth Carey.

TIANNA SIZEMORE
Tianna Grace Sizemore infant daughter of Charles R. and Brenda T. Snipes Sizemore of Orlando, FL, was stillborn Wednesday March 10, 2004.
In addition to her parents, survivors include, a half brother, William G. Sizemore of Florida; maternal grandmother, Anna F. Snipes of Lawrenceburg; paternal grandmother, Dolores J. Sizemore of Decatur, IN, and several aunts, uncles and cousins.
Private services were conducted Monday at Spring Hill Cemetery.
Alexander and Royalty Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
ALLEN WHITE
Allen B. White Sr., 80 of Leonard St., Perryville, died Thursday, March 11, 2004 at his residence.
He was the father of Allen White of Harrodsburg.
He served on the Perryville City Council for 30 years and was mayor from 1996 to 1998 and mayor pro tem on two occasions.
Born June 6, 1923 in Boyle County, he was the son of the late Briscoe and Samantha Carpenter White.
He was a 1941 graduate of Perryville High School and a 1949 graduate of the University of Kentucky with a degree in commerce. He was a member of Perryville United Methodist Church, chairman of the finance committee and sang with the choir.
White was the deputy warden of Kentucky State Reformatory at LaGrange for 17 years. He returned to Perryville to serve as president of Old Bank and later as executive vice president and director of Bank of Danville, retiring in 1990. He was a partner in White Insurance Agency.
He served in the Marine Corps in World War II during the Pacific Campaign. He was a member of the Harvey Maguire Masonic Lodge, Battlefield American Legion and was a founder of Perryville Rescue Squad and a member of Perryville Volunteer Fire Department.
In addition to his son, survivors include: his wife, Bonnie Cash White; a daughter, Rebecca Cochran of Corbin; four grandchildren, and a step great-granddaughter.
Services were Sunday at Wilder Funeral Home by the Rev. Doug Thacker and Gary Story. Burial was in Hillcrest Cemetery.
Pallbearers were David Cochran, Jason Monroe, Mike Lankford, Billy Price , Travis White and Scott Rogers.
Honorary pallbearers were Bill Dishman, Darrell Young, Bill Barnett, Jim Sullivan, Tommy Young, Godbey Hundley Jr. and members of Live Wire Sunday School Class.

ARNOLD ADAMS
Arnold Gene Adams, 46, National Park, NJ, died Friday, March 5, 2004 in National Park, NJ.
Born Jan. 9, 1958 in Harrodsburg, he was the son of the late Andy and Gracie Harrison Adams.
He was a self-employed telecommunication specialist.
Survivors include: one daughter, Amanda Starr Adams of Junction City; three sisters, Geri Bradshaw and Mildred Stagner, both of Harrodsburg and Verna Stine of Burgin; his fiance, Karen Williams of NJ, and several nieces and nephews.
The funeral was conducted Thursday, March 11 at the Ransdell Funeral Chapel with Larry Moore officiating. Burial was in the Spring Hill Cemetery.
Pallbearers were Mark Simpson, Eric Simpson, Laural Simpson, Shannon Rogers, Geri Bradshaw and Glenn Bugg.
WILLIAM GRIMES
William Grimes, 90, Harrodsburg, died Sunday, March 14, 2004 at his residence.
Born Feb. 28, 1914 in Jessamine County, he was the son of the late Leonard Grimes and Amanda Parr Gabhart and the widower of Wilma King Grimes.
He was a retired self-employed building contractor, a U.S. Army Air Force veteran of World War II, a member of Shawnee Run Baptist Church where he served as a member of the building committee, a trustee, and Sunday School clerk. He also had been a board member of Southern States, he liked to fish and break horses as a young man.
Survivors include: one son, William Ronald (Betty) Grimes of Stanford; one daughter, Martha Osborne of Sebastian, FL; three grandchildren; two step-grandchildren; five great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by three brothers, Chesley, Leslie and Leonard Grimes; one sister, Ethel Devine, and one half-sister, Mary Elizabeth Gabhart.
The funeral was held Wednesday, March 17 at the Alexander and Royalty Funeral Home with Bro. Lester Tirey officiating. Burial was in Spring Hill Cemetery.
Pallbearers were Billy Grimes, Brent Osborne, Bobby Marshall, Mike Marshall, Tony Devine and Scotty Anderson.
Honorary pallbearer was Charley Robinson.
ALICE RUSSELL
Alice Russell, 85, Camelot Dr., Lexington, died Thursday, March 4, 2004 at Sayre Christian Village.
Born June 22, 1918 in Jessamine County, she was the daughter of the late Leonard and Maretta Warner Johnson and the widow of Condit B. Russell.
She was a member of the High Bridge United Holiness Church.
Survivors include: four daughters, Phyllis (Robert) Turner, Helen (G) Turner, Mary Allen (Curtis) Drury and Wanda (Roy) Russell; seven sons, William C. (Inez) Russell, Romie Otis Russell, Roy (Wanda) Russell, Freddie (Nannie B.) Russell, Leonard (Betty) Russell, Robery (Sulvia) Russell and Ronnie Russell; one daughter-in-law, Ealine Russell; one sister, Ruby; one brother, Otis Johnson; two grandchildren; and numerous great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by one son, Wallace Russell and four grandchildren.
The funeral was held Saturday, March 6 at the Betts and West Funeral Home in Nicholasville with Rev. Ronnie Horton officiating.
Pallbearers were Bobby Turner, Joey Russell, Allen Johnson, Kenny Drury, Ronald Wayne Russell and Wayne Russell.
Honorary bearers were Kim Russell, B. B. Warner and the other grandchildren.
JEAN SHUMATE
Jean Sanders Shumate, 72, 5325 Old Frankfort Pike, wife of John Shumate of Midway, died Friday, March 12, 2004 at her residence.
Born in Mercer County, she was the daughter of the late Dan and Evelyn Sanders.
She was a retired state government employee, a graduate of the University of Kentucky, a member of Harrodsburg Baptist Church and attended Forks of Elkhorn Baptist Church, and a member of several historical associations including the Jane McAfee DAR, the National Huguenot Society, the Blauvelt Descendants and the Wyckoff Association.
In addition to her husband, survivors include: a brother, W. M. Sanders of Harrodsburg.
The funeral was held Monday at Sunset Memorial Gardens with Rev. Todd Lester officiating.
Pallbearers were Dickie Mucci, Michael Robinson, Kenneth Sanders, Charles Robinson, Jerry Burns and John Mucci.
Clark Funeral Home, Frankfort handled the arrangements.
