Clell Claunch, 86, Pleasant Hill Dr., Burgin, widower of Gladys Peavler Claunch, died Wednesday, March 24, 2004 at the Harrodsburg Health Care Center.
Born May 12, 1917 in Mercer County, he was the son of the late Robert E. and Ida Bell Lester Claunch.
He was retired from the Harrodsburg Post Office and was a member of the Cornishville Baptist Church.
Survivors include: one niece, Ida Mae Underwood of Lexington and three nephews, Paul Claunch of Perryville, Clyde Claunch of Lawrenceburg, and Marvin Deavers of IN.
The funeral will be held at 2 p.m. Friday, March 26 at the Alexander and Royalty Funeral Home with Bro. Bobby Logue officiating. Burial will be in Springhill Cemetery.
Visitation is Thursday from 6 until 8 p.m. and Friday from 7 a.m. until the time of service at the Alexander and Royalty Funeral Home.
VIRGINIA DEVINE
Virginia Mae Gammon Devine, 84, Main St., Mackville, wife of Emmitt Devine, died Friday, March 19, 2004 at the Spring View Nursing Home in Lebanon.
Born Sept. 25, 1919 in Boyle County, she was the daughter of the late Frankie Owen and Clara Blanche Goodknight Gammon.
She was a homemaker and a 1939 graduate of Mackville High School. She was a Baptist.
In addition to her husband, survivors include: one daughter, Peggy Devine of Mackville; a sister-in-law, Maxine Gammon of Springfield; a nephew, Dennis Gammon of Mackville; a great niece, Jessica Wright and two great nephews, Scott and Bradley Gammon.
She was preceded in death by a brother, Leslie Gammon.
The funeral was held Monday, March 22 at the Carey and Son Funeral Home with Bro. Fred Whitacre officiating. Burial was in the Peter Cemetery at Mackville.
Pallbearers were Dennis Gammon, Everett Lee Russell, Jim Powell, Steve Nally, Mark Nally and John Osborne.
SUE LOGUE
Sue Logue, 74, Harrodsburg, widow of Arnold Logue, died Sunday, March 21, 2004 at her residence.
Born May 17, 1929 in Sweetwater, TX, she was the daughter of the late Marvin and Godia Gay Lagrone.
She was the former owner and operator of Arnold’s Florist and Greenhouse in Harrodsburg for over 40 years, a former member of the Harrodsburg Women’s Club and member of the Harrodsburg Baptist Church.
Survivors include: two sons, Stephen (Nina) Logue of Burgin and Michael Willis Logue of Lexington; four daughters, Linda (Jack) McGee of Lexington, Susan (Bentley) Lane and Sherri (Bob) Lewis, both of Harrodsburg, and Melissa (Jim) Hill of Lawrenceburg; one sister Mary Alice Franz of North Carolina; nine grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a daughter, Laticia Logue, and two sisters, Jo “Nell” Gerbitz and Margaret Ann West.
The funeral will be conducted at 11 a.m. Thursday, March 25 at the Ransdell Funeral Chapel with Bobby Logue officiating. Burial will be in the Springhill Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be the grandsons and sons-in-law.
Visitation Wednesday from 6 until 9 p.m. and Thursday from 7:30 a.m. until the hour of service at the Ransdell Funeral Chapel.
WANDA PEAVLER
Wanda “Jeannie” Peavler, 56, Paper Mill Rd., Lancaster, wife of Garnett Peavler Jr., died Sunday, March 21, 2004 at the Ephraim McDowell Regional Medical Center.
Born March 24, 1947 in Boyle County, she was the daughter of the late Arvil Lee and Sylvia Marie Cox Adams.
She was a homemaker and enjoyed sewing, quilting, reading and cooking. She had attended Grace Baptist Church in Harrodsburg.
In addition to her husband, survivors include: one daughter, Donna Peavler of Lancaster; four brothers, Richard Adams of Lancaster, Donnie Adams of Harrodsburg, Johnnie Adams of Stanford and Gary Adams of Nicholasville; five sisters, Barbara Grimes and Carolyn Davis, both of Nicholasville, Joyce Phillips of Liberty, Stella Estes of Stanford and Elsie Johnson of Lancaster, and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by one brother, Larry Glenn Adams and one sister, Doris Marie Adams.
The funeral will be conducted at 2 p.m. Thursday, March 25 at the Alexander and Royalty Funeral Home with Bro. David Collier officiating. Burial will be in Bethel Baptist Church Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Richard Adams, Donnie Adams, Johnnie Adams, Gary Adams, Matthew Eaves and Devon Adams.
Visitation Thursday from 9:30 a.m. until the hour of service at the Alexander and Royalty Funeral Home.

WILLIAM SEXTON
William Jefferson Sexton, 91, Haggin Hospital Extended Care, widower of Lula Mae Jenkins Sexton, died Thursday, March 18, 2004 at the extended care center.
Born July 25, 1912 in Mercer County, he was the son of the late Jess and Lillie Hale Sexton.
He was a retired farmer and member of the Hopewell Baptist Church.
Survivors include: two sons, James (Margaret Lee) Sexton of Harrodsburg and David (Brenda) Sexton of Lexington; two half-brothers, Elmer Young Jr. of Stanford and Marvin Young of Somerset; one half-sister, Irene Fields of Lancaster; a special friend, Frances Gritton of Mercer County; six grandchildren; two step-grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; one step great-grandchild, and two great-great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by two half-brothers, Jesse and Bobby Young and two half-sisters, Dorothy Ramey and Mae Gerkey.
Funeral services were conducted Sunday, March 21 at the Ransdell Funeral Chapel with Rev. Richard Easterling and Rev. Jerel Coffey officiating. Burial was in the Hopewell Baptist Church Cemetery.
Pallbearers were David, Donald, Dale, and Michael Sexton, John Hagman, and Terry Yates.

RAYMOND BUGG
Raymond C. Bugg, 89, Elizabethtown, widower of Sue Ella Bugg, died Thursday, March 25, 2004 at Hardin Memorial Hospital.
Born Nov. 19, 1914 in Harrodsburg, he was a son of the late David and Lucy French Bugg.
He was a retired plumber for Hayslett Mechanical Construction Company and a WWII Army veteran.
Survivors include: one son, Ray Bugg Jr. of Harrodsburg; one brother, Buford Bugg of Harrodsburg and one sister, Hazel Dorcey of Harrodsburg.
He was preceded in death by five brothers, Marvin, Marcus, Billy, Fred and Garnett Bugg and a half sister, Mary Williams.
The funeral was held Monday, March 29 at Elizabethtown Memorial Gardens.
Arrangements were handled by Brown Funeral Home in Elizabethtown.
DONNA EDGINGTON
Donna Louise Edgington, 91, 286 S. Shore Dr., Culver, IN, widow of Harry D. Edgington, died Friday, March 26, 2004 at her residence.
Born Jan. 19, 1913 in Culver, IN, she was a daughter of the late Charles and Claire McLane Medbourn.
She was a homemaker and a member of Wesley United Methodist Church of Culver, IN.
Survivors include: four sons, Charles (Judy) Edgington and Rodney (Terri) Edgington of Culver, IN, Fred (Peggy) Edgington of Harrodsburg and Philip (Andrea) Edgington of Clermont, FL; one daughter, Sherrill (Tom) Fujimura of Culver, IN; one sister, Merilyn Herrmann of Culver, IN; seven grandchildren; one great-grandchild; four step-grandchildren and two step-great-grandchildren.
The funeral will be conducted at 11 a.m. Thursday, April 1 at Wesley United Methodist Church in Culver, IN with Pastor Linda S. Craig officiating. Burial will be in the Culver Masonic Cemetery.
Arrangements are being handled by the Bonine Funeral Home of Culver, IN.

MARJORIE GREEN
Marjorie Dotson Green, 86, Chippewa Drive, wife of William Aubrey Green, died Wednesday, March 24, 2004 at the Ephraim McDowell Regional Medical Center.
Born Aug. 1, 1916 in Woodford County, she was the daughter of the late Hugh and Maggie Tilghman Dotson.
She was a homemaker and a member of the Salvisa Methodist Church.
In addition to her husband, survivors include: three sons, Donald (Mary Ann) Green of Harrodsburg, Wayne (Linda) Green of Lexington, and Frank (Dee) Green of Lawrenceburg; four daughters, Gaye (Darrell) Brock of Harrodsburg, Betty Ann (Jackie) Royalty of Lexington, Lois (Tommy) Logue of Harrodsburg, and Patty G. Green of Lawrenceburg; one brother, Hugh Dotson of Lawrenceburg; 14 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren.
The funeral was held Saturday, March 27 at the Ransdell Funeral Chapel with Jason Clark and Danny Wiley officiating. Burial was in the Springhill Cemetery.
Pallbearers were Louis Sea, Danny Brock, Kevin Royalty, Dale Logue, Bobby Turner, Monty McRay and Steve Sims.
