Darleen Riley Vanover, 42, Warwick Road, wife of Robert Lee Vanover, died Wednesday, May 26, 2004 at the Ephraim McDowell Regional Medical Center in Danville.
Born Aug. 4, 1961 in Fort Eustis, VA, she was the daughter of Donald Baxter and Lillian Gertrude Thompson Riley.
She was a disc jockey since 1980 with Hometown Radio and WHBN Radio. She was a member of Shakertown Baptist Church. She enjoyed flowers and photography.
In addition to her husband, survivors include: two sons, Arnold Ray (Kelly Lee) White and Joseph Brent White, both of Harrodsburg; one daughter, Crystal Shanee White of Harrodsburg; three grandchildren, Clayton Lee White, Olivia Mae White and Jaydon Riley Bowman; five stepchildren; nine step-grandchildren; cousins; uncles, and aunts.
The funeral was held Saturday, May 29 at the Alexander and Royalty Funeral Home with Bro. Joseph Smith and Bro. Pete Gilliam officiating. Burial was in Hebron Cemetery in Anderson County.
Pallbearers were Jeffrey Cloyd, Jeremy Jackson, Shawn Davis, Norman Hall, Mike Thompson and Shane Cocanougher.
Honorary pallbearers were the staff of Hometown Radio Network and Janet Watts, Kathy Lewis and Becky Renteria.

KENNETH BELL
Kenneth Bell, 70, Beaumont Avenue, husband of Dorothy Elouise VanArsdall, died Wednesday, June 2, 2004 at Ephriam McDowell Regional Medical Center in Danville.
Born Dec. 30, 1933 in Mercer County, he was the son of the late Raymond Thomas and the late Margaret Nichols Bell.
He served during the Korean war in the U.S. Army Air Corps. He was a retired melting operator of Corning Glass, Inc. He was an avid hunter.
In addition to his wife, survivors include: two sons, Jerry and Guy Bell, both of Harrodsburg; one brother, Ray Edward Bell of Clarksville, TN; four grandchildren, and one great -grandchild.
The funeral was held Friday, June 4 at Ransdell Funeral Chapel with Rev. Richard Easterling officiating. Burial was in the Spring Hill Cemetery.

FANNIE BROCE
Fannie Irene Broce, 74, Old Louisville Rd., Salvisa, widow of Curtis Broce, died Friday, June 4, 2004 at the home of her son in Salvisa.
Born April 14, 1930 in Mercer County, she was the daughter of the late Leonard and Mary Holman Currens.
She was a Mercer County Schools food service worker for over 30 years. She was a member of Claylick Methodist Church.
Survivors include: one son, Danny (Sharon) Broce of Salvisa; one brother, Curtis (Sonia) Currens of Mercer County; two sisters, Dorothy Freeman of Salvisa and Elsie Gritton of Lawrenceburg; one sister-in-law, Leona “boots” Bradley of Harrodsburg; two grandchildren, and five great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by one brother, Otha Currens.
The funeral was conducted Sunday, June 6 at the Ransdell Funeral Chapel with Bro. Glen Gilliam officiating. Burial was in the Lawrenceburg Cemetery.
Pallbearers were Ronnie Broce, Leonard, Barry and O.C. Currens, Ricky Robinson and Mike Freeman.

KEVIN FLYNN
Kevin Lee Flynn, 45, Ft. Lauderdale, FL, husband of Michelle Flynn, passed away unexpectedly Saturday, May 29, 2004 at his home.
Born March 27, 1959 in Lexington, he was the son of Norris “Chigger” and Gayle Flynn of Herrington Lake.
He was a graduate of Riverview High School in Sarasota, FL and attended Milligan Bible College in Johnson, TN. He had been employed by U.S. Airways since 1981 and had spent the last 18 years at the Ft. Lauderdale Airport. He was a member of the 1971 Gardenside Little League team that was the first Kentucky team to go to the Little League World Series. He was an avid sports fan and had a passion for golf, sailing and softball, all of which took him and his beloved wife, Michelle, around the world. He was a former member of Southland Christian Church.
In addition to his wife, survivors include: two sisters, Karen (Sonny) Travis of Chesapeake, VA and Amy (Ben) Aubrey of Midway; two nephews, Jeremiah Roberts and Matthew Travis, both of Chesapeake, VA; several aunts, uncles and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents, C.M. and Delina Flynn and Stanley and Lillie (Nanny) Schuler, and his aunt, Betty Flynn Bishop.
There will be a memorial service Sunday, June 13 at 2:30 p.m. at the Harrodsburg High School.
Local arrangements are being handled by Alexander and Royalty Funeral Home.

CHRISTOPHER HARP
Christopher Ray Harp, 30, 212 Nichols Street, Danville, died Thursday, June 3, 2004 at his home.
Born July 18, 1973 in Harrodsburg, he was the son of Betty K. Sherrow Harp and the late Jimmy Harp.
He was a landscaper for Chilton’s Lawn Care in Harrodsburg. He was a member of Hedgeville Baptist Church in Danville.
Survivors include: one sister, Melissa Harp of Danville; one brother, Steve Harp of Danville; his paternal grandmother, Nancy Proctor of Harrodsburg, and a niece, Kaytlin Paige Harp of Danville.
The funeral was conducted Monday, June 7 at the Ransdell Funeral Chapel with Bro. Lester Tirey and Bro. Lance Ladd officiating. Burial was in the Bellevue Cemetery in Danville.
Pallbearers were Bo Warner, Fred McQuerry, Shane Watts, Michael Chilton, Clay Westerfield, Billy Boswell, Tyler Goodlett and Larry Wayne Cox.

STANLEY ISHAM JR.
Stanley Garnett Isham Jr., 70, Dry Branch Road, husband of LaVerne Wheeler Isham, died Wednesday, June 2, 2004 at his home.
Born Dec. 10, 1933 in Mercer County, he was the son of the late Stanley Garnett and Cathryn Devers Isham Sr.
He was an automobile dealer in Harrodsburg for several years.
In addition to his wife, survivors include: one sister, Mary Evelyn Royalty of Harrodsburg, one uncle, Marvin Devers of Scottsburg, IN, and several nieces and nephews.
The funeral was conducted Saturday, June 5 at the Ransdell Funeral Chapel with Bro. James Byrd officiating. Burial was in the Spring Hill Cemetery.
Pallbearers were Larry, Doug and Tim Royalty, Travis Wheeler, Robin Peavler and Bob Kennedy.

GUY McGINNIS JR.
Guy E. McGinnis Jr., 63, Johnson Road, husband of Donna Dunning McGinnis, died Saturday, June 5, 2004 at his residence.
Born Jan. 13, 1941 in Mercer County, he was a son of the late Guy E. McGinnis Sr. and Evelyn Logue McGinnis.
He was a retired employee of IBM and Lexmark and was a farmer. He was a member of Bruners Chapel Baptist Church. He was a NASCAR fan.
Survivors include: two sons, Norman Edward “Eddie” (Tammy) McGinnis and Brent Lee McGinnis, both of Harrodsburg; two brothers, Ronnie McGinnis and Rich (Vickie) McGinnis, both of Harrodsburg; two sisters, JoAnn (Claude) Russell and Jeannie (Roy) Bugg, both of Harrodsburg; three grandchildren, Jordan Lee Ann, Lee Edward and Seth Jacob McGinnis, all of Harrodsburg, and several nieces and nephews.
The funeral was held Monday, June 7 at Alexander and Royalty Funeral Home with Rev. Stephen Ramsey officiating. Burial was in Spring Hill Cemetery.

WILLIAM NICKENS
William Nickens, 75, Herrington Woods, husband of Kathryn Nickens, died Monday, June 7, 2004 at his residence.
Born March 22, 1929 in Covington, he was the son of the late Charles E. and Eva Mae Peck Nickens.
He was a retired superintendent for Lex-Tran, a member of the Lexington Lions Club, a NASCAR enthusiast and enjoyed golf and fishing.
In addition to his wife, survivors include: two brothers, Fred and Albert Nickens; one sister, Helen Kellen; three nieces, and one nephew.
The funeral will be today, Thursday, June 10 at 1 p.m. at the Alexander and Royalty Funeral Home with Rev. Michael A. Warnke officiating. Burial will be in the Bluegrass Memorial Gardens.
Pallbearers will be Mike Massey, Ron Massotti, Bill Polack, John Shouse, Bobby Bailey and Robert Chilton.
Visitation Wednesday from 6 until 8 p.m. and Thursday after 7 a.m. at the Alexander and Royalty Funeral Home.
