Robert R. Phillips Jr., 52, Paradise Camp Road, died Saturday, Feb. 19, 2005 at his residence.
Born Oct. 16, 1952 in Harrodsburg, he was the son of Robert R. Phillips Sr. of Harrodsburg and the late Carolyn J. Bruner Phillips.
He was a self-employed truck driver, having driven for Double D Race Team. He enjoyed model trucks and watching television.
In addition to his father, survivors include: two sisters, Diane (Danny) Preston of Harrodsburg and Susan C. Phillips of Hamilton, OH; one brother, William T. (Donna) Phillips, also of Harrodsburg; three nephews, and one niece.
The funeral was conducted Tuesday, Feb. 22 at the Alexander and Royalty Funeral Home with Bro. Greg Humpert officiating. Burial was in Spring Hill Cemetery.
Pallbearers were Bobby Carrier Jr., Jeff Gullett, Bobby Walters Sr. and Bobby Walters Jr., Justin Ellis, Earl Sheets, Tim Moore and James Preston.
Honorary pallbearers were members of the Harrodsburg City Fire Department.
DOROTHY PITMAN
Dorothy Lee Taylor Pitman, 80, Danville, wife of Beul Thomas Pitman, died Monday, Feb. 21, 2005 at the Ephraim McDowell Regional Medical Center.
Born Feb. 21, 1925 in Mercer County, she was a daughter of the late Willy and Elmer McKinney Taylor.
She was a homemaker and a member of the Immanuel Baptist Church.
In addition to her husband, survivors include: three daughters, Linda (Alan) Matsushima of Hawaii, Jenny (Jeff) Alverson of Ringgold, GA and Kathy Brogli of Lancaster; two sisters, Frances Collier of Lexington and Evelyn (Walter) Cummins of Danville; six grandchildren; four great-grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by one sister, Gladys Taylor Sanders, and one brother, Marvin Taylor.
The funeral will be Friday, Feb. 24 at 2 p.m. at the Alexander and Royalty Funeral Home with Rev. Harold Best and Dr. Jeff Alverson officiating. Burial will be in the Shawnee Run Baptist Church Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Robert and Jeff Matsushima, Sean Kelly, John Alverson and Stephen and Jeremy Brogli.
Visitation, Thursday from 5 until 8 p.m. and Friday after 7 a.m. at the funeral home.
MARY SINGLETON
Mary Elizabeth Singleton, 75, of Lexington Avenue, Danville, died Wednesday, February 16, 2005 at the James B. Haggin Memorial Hospital.
Born December 27, 1928, in Boyle County, she was a daughter of the late Ansil and Elizabeth Meaux. She was the widow of James Singleton.
She was an employee of Bate Middle School cafeteria and a member of First Baptist Church, Domestic Economy Club, Progressive Club and had been a Sunday school treasurer.
Survivors include: two daughters, Janice Dunn, Harrodsburg and Antoinette Singleton, Atlanta, GA; one son, James Singleton Jr., Danville; four grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
Services will be held at 1 p.m. Monday, February 21, at First Baptist Church by the Rev. Richard Hill. Burial will be in Hilldale Cemetery.
Visitation will be 6-8 p.m. Sunday at the church.
Smith-Jackson Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
WANDA WILHAM
Wanda Louise Coslow Wilham, 69, Boone Street, wife of Haldon Wilham, died Tuesday, Feb. 15, 2005 at the Harrodsburg Health Care Center.
Born April. 23, 1935 in Washington County, she was the daughter of the late Lee and Mattie Ross Coslow.
She was a homemaker and a member of the Baptist church.
In addition to her husband, survivors include: one son, Freddie Leonard of Harrodsburg; two daughters, Deborah Spalding and Beverly Leonard Lopez, both of Springfield; two brothers, R.C. Coslow and John Coslow, both of Willisburg; six grandchildren, and seven great-grandchildren.
The funeral was held Thursday, Feb. 17 at the Carey and Son Funeral Home in Springfield with Rev. John McDaniel, pastor of the Temple Baptist Church, officiating. Burial was in the Battle Cemetery.
Pallbearers were Jeremy Leroy, Terrance and Justin Leonard, Robert Spalding, Carl Burton and David Coslow.
MARGARET ADAMS
Margaret Robinson Adams, 83, of Carter Lane, Versailles, widow of Homer Adams, died Thursday, Feb. 24, 2005, at St. Joseph Hospital, Lexington.
She was an employee of the Dish Barn for over 40 years, and was a member of the Clover Bottom Baptist Church.
Born in Mercer County, she was a daughter of the late Levi and Alona Brown Robinson.
She is survived by two daughters, Dona (Larry) Wilson, Rose Ella (Wayne) Luttrell, both of Versailles; three sons, Jim Bob (Patricia) Adams, Versailles, Jack (Deianna) Adams, Anderson County, Jerry and (Sandy) Adams, Jessamine County; two sisters, Rosa Lee Carpenter, Ada Mae Disponette, and a brother, James Russell Robinson, all of Nicholasville; 10 grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren, and three great-great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at 10:30 am Saturday, Feb. 26, at the Blackburn & Ward Funeral Home with Rev. Jim Lyons officiating. Interment will follow at Blue Grass Memorial Gardens Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Kevin Adams, Russell Luttrell, Brandon Adams, Tyler Adams, Bill Bryant, and Mike Carpenter.
Visitation will be from 5-9 pm Friday at the funeral home

GEORGE BARNETT
George Washington Barnett, 63, Lexington Road, husband of Reda Jennings Barnett, died Tuesday, Feb. 22, 2005 at his home.
Born April 20, 1941 in Mercer County, he was the son of the late George Washington Barnett Sr. and Elva Releford Barnett.
He was a farmer and was retired from the Square D Corporation. He was a member of the American Angus Association and a member of Bethel Baptist Church.
In addition to his wife, survivors include: two sons, George Michael (Martine Kalke) Barnett of Waltham, MA and Douglas W. (Jennifer) Barnett of Lexington; one sister, Kathleen Shewmaker of Harrodsburg; one stepbrother, Jim Reddicks; one stepsister, Jo Ann (Clark) Grubbs, and one grandson.
The funeral was held Friday, Feb. 25 at the Spurlin Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. James Harley officiating. Burial was in Lancaster Cemetery.
Pallbearers were Jim Reddicks, Carol Gritten, William C. Carey, Lee Howard and Ricky Releford and Richard Shewmaker.
Honorary pallbearers were Bobby Tatum, William Lee Cannada, Robbie Naylor, Ricky and Darlene Edgington, Pat Hutchings, Roz Rodheaver and Robert Huffman.
ELEANOR COLEMAN
Eleanor Davis Coleman, 90, Leesburg, FL, widow of Clell Coleman II, died Wednesday, Feb. 23, 2005.
She was born Dec. 2, 1914 in Harrodsburg.
She was a longtime member of the First Presbyterian Church of Leesburg.
Survivors include: one son, Clell Coleman III, and one daughter, Mary Coleman Glockler, both of Leesburg; two grandchildren, and two great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by two infant daughters.
A graveside service was conducted Monday, Feb. 28 with interment following at Spring Hill Cemetery.
Arrangements were handled by Ransdell Funeral Chapel.

RUBY DAVENPORT
Ruby Lucille Rogers Davenport, 85, McCoy Road, Salvisa, died Wednesday, Feb. 23, 2005 at The James B. Haggin Memorial Hospital.
Born May 28, 1919 in Anderson County, she was a daughter of the late Charlie and Alice Ione Puckett Rogers.
She was a homemaker and a private sitter, and she was a member of Goshen Baptist Church.
Survivors include: one daughter, Marie (Cecil) Davenport; one granddaughter, and one great-grandson.
She was preceded in death by one sister, Cordie McClure, and one brother, Edward Rogers.
The funeral was held Saturday, Feb. 26 at Gash Memorial Chapel in Lawrenceburg with Bro. John Hockersmith III officiating. Burial was in Hebron Cemetery.
Pallbearers were Justin McCoy Shifflett, J.B. Stratton, Marshall Hockersmith, Ray Brooks, Donald Dotson and Clarence Sharp Jr.

Robert Hammack, 48, Cincinnati, OH, formerly of Mercer County, died Sunday, Feb. 20, 2005.
Born Jan. 2, 1957 in Hardin County, he was a son of Lee Hammack of Harrodsburg and the late Carmen Hammack.
He was an electrician and was a member of Southside Christian Church in Harrodsburg. He served in the U.S. Army from 1976 to 1978.
In addition to his father, survivors include: one son, Adam Lee Hammack; one brother, Roy Hammack of Harrodsburg, and one sister, Mary Sims of Lexington.
A graveside service will be held today, Thursday, March 3 at 1:30 p.m. at Camp Nelson National Cemetery with Rev. Bryce McCulley officiating.
Arrangements are being handled by Spurlin Funeral Home of Lancaster.
RUBY HARRISON
Ruby Mae Harrison, 62, Acre Drive, Danville, wife of Robert Harrison, died Wednesday, Feb. 23, 2005 at the Ephraim McDowell Regional Medical Center.
Born July 9, 1942 in Mercer County, she was a daughter of the late Edwin Lee and Mary Elizabeth Coleman Taylor.
She was a homemaker, she was a member of the Junction City First Baptist Church, and she enjoyed camping and fishing.
In addition to her husband, survivors include: three sons, Thomas Lee Harrison of Parksville, David Lynn Harrison of Junction City, and James Edwin Harrison of Moreland; one daughter, Elizabeth Ann Gover of Danville; three brothers, Leroy Taylor and Herman Taylor, both of Danville, and Fred Darson of Jackson, OH; one sister, Carolyn Hardin of Moreland; six grandchildren; two great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.
The funeral was conducted Saturday, Feb. 26 at the Alexander and Royalty Funeral Home with Rev. Dale Denton officiating. Burial was in Burgin Memorial Gardens.
