Warren Bruce Crain, 69, Craintown Road, Boyle County, husband of Barbara Priestley Crain, died Thursday, March 3, 2005 in Danville.
Born April 9, 1935 in Boyle County, he was a son of the late Cecil and Alice Durham Crain.
He was a dairy farmer and a self-employed gravel hauler, and he was a former salesman for Frito Lay and R. C. Cola.
In addition to his wife, survivors include: one daughter, Michelle Douglas of Danville; two sons, Chris Wilson Crain and Michael Bruce Crain, both of Frisco, TX; one stepson, Ray Ormsby, and one stepdaughter, Jacque Koch, both of Denver, CO; eight grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
The funeral was held Monday, March 7 at St. Philips Episcopal Church with Rev. Joan Smith officiating. Burial was in the Hillcrest Cemetery in Perryville.
Arrangements were handled by the Wilder Funeral Home in Perryville.
RUBY DRURY
Ruby Wells Drury, 85, Marrs Avenue, Lawrenceburg, widow of Otis Drury, died Wednesday, March 2, 2005 at her home after an illness.
Born Dec. 14, 1919, in Washington County, she was the daughter of the late Erastus and Bessie Walls Wells.
She was a homemaker and a member of Fairview Christian Church and the Ladies Sunday School class.
Survivors include: four daughters, Doris Cornish of Chaplin and Brenda (Gerald) Peach, Sharon (Tommy) Bickers and Judy Fain, all of Lawrenceburg; two sons, Gerald Drury of Lawrenceburg and Gary Drury of Bardstown; four sisters, Gertie (Evel) Satterly and Velma Drury, both of Lawrenceburg, Dorothy Goins of Harrodsburg, and Onita (Carl) McGaughey of Frankfort; two brothers, Curtis (Dorothy) Wells and Cletus (Betty) Wells, both of Lawrenceburg; 21 grandchildren; 46 great-grandchildren; 21 great-great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by one daughter, Roxie Carey; one son, Darrell Dwayne Drury; one sister, Sally Drury; three brothers, Clinton Wells, Orbrey Wells and Clifton Wells; one granddaughter, and three great-grandchildren.
The funeral was held Sunday, March 6 at Gash Memorial Chapel in Lawrenceburg with Bros. George Martin and Paul Hagerman and Sister Brenda Chesser officiating. Burial was in Fairview Cemetery.
Pallbearers were Jeff Drury, Richard and Ted Peach, Glen Carey, David Drury, Chad Case and Brad Fain.
Honorary pallbearers were Mrs. Drury¹s grandchildren.

ROGER HISLE
Roger Hisle, 56, Cummins Ferry Road, Salvisa, died Sunday, March 6, 2005 at St. Joseph Hospital Hospice Care Center in Lexington.
Born Dec. 14, 1948 in Mercer County, he was a son of the late George and Mable Stone Hisle.
He was a tool and dye maker for Custom Tool and was a veteran of the United States Marines. He enjoyed fishing and U.K. athletics.
Survivors include: one son, Roger Hisle II of Salvisa; two daughters, Karen (Tracy) Sipes and Misty (Greg) Atchison, both of Paris; two brothers, Wayne Hisle and Kenneth Hisle, both of Williamsburg; one sister, Lydia Wells of Dry Ridge, and three grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by one brother, George Carl Hisle.
The funeral was held Wednesday, March 9 at the Alexander and Royalty Funeral Home with Bro. Dennis Wayne Hisle and Dr. William Davis officiating. Burial was in the Ebenezer Cemetery.
Pallbearers were Larry Camic, Rod Cunningham, Bruce Pheasant, John Bishop, Terry Camden and Darrell Young.
HOWARD MASON
Howard William Mason, 83, of Little Rock, AR, died Thursday, March 3,2005.
Born June 27, 1921, in Little Rock, he was the son of the late George and Ola Ashley Mason. He was the widower of Miriam J. Mason.
He was a World War II Army veteran and a retired truck driver.
Survivors include a daughter, Iris Brockette of Little Rock; three sons, James Mason and Joe Mason, both of Little Rock, and William Mason of Searcy, AR; a brother, George Mason of Little Rock; a sister, Helen York of Houston, AR; five grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
Services were held Saturday at Reubel Funeral Home, Little Rock. Burial will be at 1 p.m. Monday at Springhill Cemetery, Harrodsburg.
EUGENE McDANIEL SR.
Eugene McDaniel Sr., 71, husband of Juanita McDaniel, of 360 Dunroven Dr., Lawrenceburg, died Saturday March 5, 2005 at the Heritage Hall Nursing Home.
He was the son of the late Nealy Alfred and Helen (Ellen) Blankenship McDaniel, and was a retired farmer.
In addition to his wife he is survived by one daughter, Norita Gale Word , two sons Eugene McDaniel, Jr. and Nealy Alfred McDaniel, all of Versailles; two sisters, Opal Hockensmith, Harrodsburg and Christine Baker, Versailles; three brothers, Bill McDaniel, Versailles, Sterling McDaniel, Lawrenceburg, and Leonard McDaniel, Georgetown; and six grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by two sisters, Dorothy Slucher and Catherine Hockensmith.
Funeral services were held Tuesday March 8, at the Hillsboro Baptist Church by the Rev. Clarence Wilcox. Burial was in Sunset Memorial Gardens.
Pallbearers were Bill McDaniel, Billy McDaniel, Eugene McDaniel, Nealy McDaniel, Tommy Word and Danny Baker. Honorary bearers were Sterling McDaniel, Clarence Miracle and Clinton Cubert.
Gash Memorial Chapel, Lawrenceburg, was in charge of arrangements.
SAHARA NELSON
Sahara Brooke-Lyn Nelson, infant daughter of Kenny and Melissa Nelson, was stillborn Saturday February 26, 2005.
Graveside services will be held Friday, March 4, at Ebenezer Cemetery in Mercer County.

HAROLD PEEL
Harold L. "Buddy" Peel, 82, of Lexington, husband of the late Florence Hicks Peel, died Wednesday, March 2, 2005 at the Hospice Care Center.
He was born in Lexington, son of the late Tom and Ella Z. Wagner Peel.
He was a Kentucky Colonel He was a retired Road Inspector for the Kentucky State Highway Department,.
Survivors include: one son; Ron (Carolyn) Peel, Nicholasville; two grandchildren, Mark (Robyn) Peel, Lexington, Shannon Peel, Burgin; and three great grandchildren, Logan Peel and Lauren Peel, both of Lexington, and Amanda Lee, Burgin.
Funeral services will be held at 10 am Saturday, March 5, at the W. R. Milward Mortuary- Southland, in Lexington, conducted by Rev. William K. Simmons. Burial will be in the Lexington Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 5-7 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
LILLIE POWELL
Lillie Alice Tyler Powell, 85, Parksville, widow of Obie “Doc” Powell, died Tuesday, March 8, 2005 at the home of her daughter.
Born Aug. 13, 1919 in Mercer County, she was a daughter of the late John Henry and Lydia Camden Tyler.
She had worked at the Woodlawn Christian Children’s Home and was a homemaker. She was a member of Parksville Baptist Church.
Survivors include: two daughters, Judy Stumph of Louisville and Sue Ann Burger of Forkland; one son, Kenneth “Butch” Powell of Harrodsburg; one sister, Sally Dyrcz of Lexington; seven grandchildren, and 14 great-grandchildren.
The funeral will be Friday, March 11 at 1 p.m. at the Wilder Funeral Home in Perryville with the Revs. Arnold Moon, LeRoy Releford and Gary Storey officiating. Burial will be in the Parksville Cemetery.
Visitation Thursday from 5 until 9 p.m. at the funeral home. Pallbearers will be Jeff and David Stumph, Lee Durham, Barry Dyrcz, Donnie Tyler and Mark Powell.
Honorary pallbearers will be Jeff Burger, Margaret Abbott, Juanita Westerfield, Myrtle Belcher, Kelly Newkirk and Eric Smith.

WILLIAM RILEY
William Sherman Riley, 96, College Manor, widower of Julia Disponett Riley, died Saturday, Feb. 26, 2005 at The James B. Haggin Memorial Hospital after an illness.
Born Aug. 24, 1908 in Anderson County, he was a son of the late James Matthew and Mattie Alice Holt Riley.
He was a retired farmer and a member of the Salvisa Methodist Church.
Survivors include: one sister, Margie Cornish, and one brother, Earl (Loretta) Riley, both of Lawrenceburg; two nieces; three nephews, and numerous other relatives.
The funeral was held Tuesday, March 1 at Gash Memorial Chapel with Bro. John Hockersmith III and Bro. Danny Wiley officiating. Burial was in Lawrenceburg Cemetery.
Pallbearers were Louis Sea, Donnie Green, E. J. Riley Jr. and Delaine and Joe Riley and Ricky Coke.

THOMAS WOODS
Thomas David Woods, 79, Lawrenceburg, widower of Hilda Alderson Woods, died Tuesday, March 1, 2005 at Frankfort Regional Medical Center.
Born Dec. 13, 1925 in Harrodsburg, he was a son of the late Ansel R. and Ethel Million Woods.
He was a graduate of Transylvania University. He served during World War II in the Marine Corps. He was a member of the First Christian Church of Lawrenceburg where he served as treasurer of the men¹s group. He was also a member and past Master of the St. John’s Lodge #125 F&AM, former High Priest of Daviess Chapter #29 Royal Arch Masons, Danville Council #3, Ryan Commandery #17, Oleika Shrine Temple, Harrodsburg #309 Order of the Eastern Star. He was past District Deputy of Grand Lodge of Kentucky. He was a member of the Bluegrass Shrine Club and of the Bluegrass York Rite College #104. He taught at Mercer County High School for a number of years and retired from the Kentucky State Cabinet of Human Resources.
Survivors include: one son, Thomas David (Carol) Woods II of Lexington; one sister, Charlotte (John) Gunter of California; one brother, Maurice (Emmalou) Woods of Indiana, and special companion Jewell Warford.
A memorial service was held Saturday, March 5 at the Ransdell Funeral Chapel with Rev. Jim Wheeler officiating.
