Obie Worthington Jr., 80, Rolling Hills, Danville, husband of Margaret Chambers Worthington, died Monday, March 7, 2005 at Charleston Health Care.
Born March 19, 1924 in Danville, he was a son of the late Obie Otis and Betty Jane Montgomery Worthington.
He was a member of Immanuel Baptist Church, was a WWII Army veteran and was a farmer.He was the owner of six furniture stores, including Worthington Furniture and Family Tree Furniture, and two restaurants, Obie’s Restaurant in Harrodsburg and The Café in Danville.
In addition to his wife, survivors include: one son, Ronald Brent (Kettara) Worthington of Wilmington, NC; two brothers, Irvin Lee Worthington of Parksville and Bobby Joe Worthington of Junction City; four sisters, Mary Elizabeth (Bob) Lankford and Anna Wilma (Kenneth) Coffman, both of Danville, Betty Lou (Rubin) Durndry and Ima Jean (Marshall) Hart, both of Harrodsburg; five grandchildren, and five great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by one daughter, Carolyn Sue Worthington; one son, Richard Allen Worthington; one sister, Louise Douglas, and one brother, James Worthington.
The funeral will be today, Thursday, March 10 at 1 p.m. at Stith Funeral Home in Danville with the Rev. Morris Trayner officiating. Burial will be in Bellevue Cemetery.
Visitation Wednesday from 6 until 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
Pallbearers will be Dennis, Donnie, Darone and Ron Worthington and Scott and Steve Smith.
Honorary pallbearers will be Irvin and Bobby Worthington, Charlie Clarkston and Eddie Sherror.
LEONA BRADSHAW
Leona Constance Bradshaw, 85, 667 Cane Run St., died Tuesday, March 15, 2005 at the Ephraim McDowell Regional Medical Center.
Born July 30, 1919 in Nicholasville, she was the daughter of the late Harvey and Maggie Maples Goforth Sr.
She worked at Shakertown at Pleasant Hill for several years, she was a retired Brown and Williamson Tobacco Company employee, and she was a member of the Mt. Zion Methodist Church.
Survivors include: four daughters, Barbara Jean Bradshaw of Danville, Joyce Murray and Carolyn Belcher, both of Harrodsburg, and Lenora Nave of Burgin; one brother, Harvey Goforth Jr. of Danville; 15 grandchildren; 29 great-grandchildren, and 17 great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by one grandchild.
The funeral will be today, Thursday, March 17 at 2 p.m. at the Ransdell Funeral Chapel with Gary Story officiating. Burial will be in the Spring Hill Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be grandchildren.
Visitation Wednesday after 5 p.m. and Thursday prior to the service at the funeral home.
Memorial contributions may be sent to Mt. Zion Methodist Church.
WARREN BUGG
Warren C. Bugg, 75, husband of Anne Spoonamore Bugg, formerly of Harrodsburg, died Wednesday, March 9, 2005 at the McDowell Place in Danville.
Born Dec. 12, 1929 in the Shakertown community of Mercer County, he was the son of the late Thomas and Zanie Lowe Bugg.
He was a U.S. Army veteran, he was an antique dealer and also was a self-employed American Saddlebred Horse trainer and enjoyed serving as a judge in horse shows and playing rook, fishing, and telling stories. He was a member of the First Christian Church in Danville.
In addition to his wife, survivors include: one son, David Bugg of Lawrenceburg; one daughter, Marcia Kay Knight of Lexington; one brother, Marvin Bugg of Maryland, and one granddaughter.
He was preceded in death by four brothers, Jason Bugg, Dallas Bugg, Carl Bugg and Sterling Bugg, and one sister, Jewell Cellar.
The funeral was conducted Friday, March 11 at the Alexander and Royalty Funeral Home with Chaplain Gary Story officiating. Burial with Military Honors was at Camp Nelson National Cemetery.
ROBERT CAMMACK
Robert E. “Bob” Cammack, 90, Beaumont Avenue, husband of Mattie Enfield Montgomery Cammack, died Saturday, March 12, 2005 at the Ephraim McDowell Regional Medical Center.
Born March 6, 1915 in Nashville, TN, he was the son of the late William L. and Mattie Lynn Cammack.
He was a World War II army veteran, he was a retired banker with Louisville Trust, he was a member of the Harrodsburg United Presbyterian Church and was a 55 year member of the Lions Club International and received the Melvin Jones Fellow Award. He enjoyed fishing, boating and playing Bridge.
In addition to his wife, survivors include: one daughter, Susan (Mike) Heintz of Redington Shores, FL; one sister, Martha Frances Scott of Cincinnati, OH; one grandson; four nephews, and one niece.
A memorial service will be held today, Thursday, March 17 at 2 p.m. at the First Christian Church of Owenton.

VERLIN GULLETT
Verlin Wayne Gullett, 54, McClellan Drive, husband of Cynthia Croucher Gullett, died Friday, March 11, 2005 at the University of Kentucky Medical Center in Lexington.
Born Feb. 6, 1951 in Mercer County, he was a son of the late Robert and Mary Reed Gullett.
He was a former self-employed construction worker, he was a member of the Benton Baptist Church, and he enjoyed wood carving, fishing, reading and genealogy.
In addition to his wife, survivors include: one son, Phillip Corey Gullett of Harrodsburg; four brothers, Troy Lee Francis, Bobby Gullett, Jerry Gullett and Donnie Gullett, and one sister, Susan Francis, all of Harrodsburg, and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by two brothers, Melvin Gullett and Jay Gullett.
The funeral was conducted Monday, March 14 at the Alexander and Royalty Funeral Home with Bobby Logue officiating. Burial was at Shawnee Run Baptist Church Cemetery.
Pallbearers were Phil Croucher, Billy Hamm, Jeffrey Bradshaw, Jamie and Robert Gullett, Larry Peyton, James Gee and Allen Asher.
Honorary pallbearers were Jesse Croucher, Jeffrey, Kevin, Timmy and Eric Gullett, Hubert Hall and Mark Francis.
WILLIAM HARRIS
William Lee Harris, 74, Alton Station Road, Lawrenceburg, formerly of Creve Coeur, IL, died Saturday, March 12, 2005 at his residence.
Born Feb. 27, 1931 in Harrodsburg, he was a son of the late William C. and Josephine Quinn Guinan.
He served in the Air Force, and he was retired from the Caterpillar Company.
Survivors include: one daughter, Cassandra L. Harris of Lawrenceburg; three sisters, Cora B. Carter of California and Mary Stevens and Linda Daxenbichler, both of Illinois; one brother, David Taylor, also of Illinois, and one granddaughter.
The funeral was conducted Wednesday, March 16 at the Camp Nelson National Cemetery with Harold Best officiating.
Arrangements were handled by the Ransdell Funeral Chapel.
HANNAH HORN
Hannah Horn, 32, Harrodsburg, wife of Kevin Horn, died Tuesday, March 8, 2005 at The James B. Haggin Memorial Hospital.
Born Jan. 3, 1973 in Mercer County, she was a daughter of Arthur B. “Bud” and Betty L. Cox Isham.
She was an administrative assistant at Whitenack and Souder Insurance Agency and was a member of the Magnolia Street Christian Church.
In addition to her husband, survivors include: two daughters, Morgan Horn and Gracie Horn, both of Harrodsburg; three sisters, Denise (Donnie) Burke, Lynn (Roger) Hardin and Kristy (Jay) Mobley, and her maternal grandmother, Beulah Cox, all of Mercer County, and several nieces and nephews.
The funeral was conducted Friday, March 11 at the Harrodsburg Baptist Church with Harold Best, Matthew Atha and Dr. Robert DeFoor officiating. Burial was in the Mt. Pleasant Presbyterian Cemetery.
Pallbearers were Chris “Parker” Darland, Tony “Bone” Brown, Donavan Bast, Greg Souder, Will Rogers and Jimmy Sexton.

M. F. JOHNSON
M. F. Johnson Jr., 86, Kennedy Bridge Road, widower of Marie Buck Johnson, died Tuesday, March 8, 2005 at the Ephraim McDowell Regional Medical Center.
Born Sept. 4, 1918 in Mercer County, he was the son of the late Millard and Lydia Bick Johnson.
He was a self-employed farmer, and he was a member of the Burgin Baptist Church.
Survivors include: one daughter, Margaret J. (Sam) Edwards of Harrodsburg.
The funeral was conducted Friday, March 11 at the Alexander and Royalty Funeral Home with Harvey Britton, Chaplain Gary Story and Bob Williams officiating. Burial was in Spring Hill Cemetery.
Pallbearers were Jim Belcher, Peanut Riney, Eddie Russell, Thurman Hardin, David Baker, Wayne Carmickle, Allen Monroe and Delbert Hamner.
Honorary pallbearers were Darrell Russell and Clay Adams.

ANDY McHOLAN
Reverend Andy M . McHolan, 89, Cochran, GA, formerly of Perryville, husband of Virginia D. McHolan, died Wednesday, March 9, 2005.
Born in Breckenridge Couty, he was the son of the late William H. and Lena Ammons McHolan.
He pastored several churches in Georgia and Kentucky, and he had pastored Doctors Fork Baptist Church in Perryville and South Fork Baptist Church.
In addition to his wife, survivors include: one daughter, Lou Ellen Johnson of Cincinnati, OH; three sons, Charles McHolan of Louisville, Eugene McHolan of Harrodsburg, and Rickie McHolan of Cochran, GA; 10 grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren, and two great-great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by one son, Wayne McHolan, and one daughter, Charlotte Ann McHolan.
The funeral was held Saturday, March 12 at the Perryville Baptist Church. Burial was in the Hillcrest Cemetery.
Pallbearers were Michael, Keith, Shawn, Ryan and Henry Allen McHolan and Johnny Johnson.
Arrangements were handled by Wilder Funeral Home in Perryville.
