Christopher Robin Duff, 51, of Middlesboro, died Friday, March 25, 2005 at his home.
Survivors include: two sons, Sage Duff of Middlesboro, and Curt Duff of Harrodsburg; three step-sons, Travis Lance of Mount Washington, Matt Sims of Harrodsburg and Joe Bill Lance of Versailles; two sisters, Mary E. Gibson of Harrodsburg and Dixie Martin of Mount Pleasant, NC; one brother, Thad Duff of Prestonsburg, and seven grandchildren.
Services were held Monday at Engle-Walker Funeral Home. Burial was in Englewood Cemetery.
MAE LOGAN
Mae Lucy Logan 80, of Stanford, died Saturday at Harrodsburg Health Care Center.
Born June 1, 1924, in Lincoln County, she was the daughter of the late John and Maggie Gooch. She was the widow of Lawrence C. Logan.
She was a member of Bethel AME Church, Boneyville, where she was a missionary and sang with the choir.
Survivors include: two stepsons, James E. Logan and Russell Logan, both of Stanford; 10 grandchildren, and several great-grandchildren.
Services were held at 1 p.m. Tuesday at Bethel AME Church by Rev. Oliver Miller. Burial was in Goode Cemetery.
Smith-Jackson Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
RACHEL DUNCAN
Rachel Meador Duncan, 70, of North Third Street, Danville died Wednesday, March 23, 2005 at Danville Centre for Health and Rehabilitation.
Born Feb. 9, 1935, in Warren County, she was the daughter of the late Will and Carrie Bonham Meador. She was the widow of Roger Duncan.
She was a life member and past president of Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 3634 ladies auxiliary and Andrew Baptist Church in Bowling Green.
Survivors include: three daughters, Susan West of Danville, Jennifer Faulkner of Winchester and Gerri Lear of Harrodsburg; six grandchildren; a great-grandchild; three step grandchildren, and a step great-grandchild.
Graveside services will be held at 12:30 p.m. Friday at Camp Nelson National Cemetery by Garry Allen.
Honorary pallbearers are Kim Cherry, Woody Cherry, Carrie Mattingly, Ashley Wilson, Dracie Wilson, Lea West and Duncan West.
Memorials may go to the VFW 3634 ladies auxiliary.

VERGIE VANDIVIER
Vergie VanDivier, 89, of Harrodsburg, widow of Maurice VanDivier, died Sunday, March 27, 2005 at the James B. Haggin Memorial Hospital.
Born Feb. 24, 1916 in Mercer County, she was the daughter of the late Henry and Cordie Tyler Hungate.
She was a retired school teacher from the Hill Top School, and a seamstress at Cricketeer.
She was a member of Bruner's Chapel Baptist Church where she was active in the Faith Sunday School Class.
She is survived by: one son, Barry VanDivier of Harrodsburg, and a number of cousins.
The funeral was held at 3 p.m. Wednesday at the Ransdell Funeral Chapel by Greg Humpert and Raymond Watts. Burial was in the Bruner’s Chapel Cemetery.

ALENE PERKINS
Alene T. Perkins, 91, of Harrodsburg and formerly of Carrolton, widow of John A. Perkins, died Monday, March 28, 2005 in a traffic accident in Jessamine County.
Born Nov. 16, 1913 in Taylorsville, she was the daughter of the late Charles and Mamie (Day) Tichenor.
She was a retired teacher, having taught 34 years at the Spencer, Shelby, Carrol and Bourbon County School Systems. She was an active member of the Harrodsburg Baptist Church and formerly the Carrolton Baptist Church, she was a Sunday school teacher, a member of the W.M.U and Light and Lively Group.
She was also a member of the Ebenezer Homemakers, Retired Teachers Association, VFW Auxiliary, Mercer County Democratic Woman’s Club, North Mercer Concerned Citizens, and an avid Kentucky Wildcat Fan. She also did volunteer work for many groups.
Survivors include: one son, Joe (Sue) Perkins of Harrodsburg; a grandson, Kevin (Ann) Perkins of Harrodsburg; a granddaughter-in-law, Cari Perkins of Harrodsburg; three great grandchildren, and a niece.
She was preceded in death by a grandson Capt. John A. Perkins.
The funeral will be conducted at 1 p.m. Thursday at the Ransdell Funeral Chapel by Dr. Robert DeFoor and Phil Williams. Burial will be in the Spring Hill Cemetery.
Pallbearers are Kevin Perkins, Alex Perkins, Kenny Wade, Monty Phillips, Joe Harlow and Joe Stevens Honorary pallbearers are the members of her Sunday school class.
Visitation was Wednesday , March 30 from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. and will be Thursday prior to the service at the Ransdell Funeral Chapel.
Memorial contributions may be sent to the Recreation and Outreach Center at Harrodsburg Baptist Church or the Wilderness Trace YMCA.
CECIL BREEDING
Cecil E. Breeding, 69, of Mount Eden, died Sunday, April 3, 2005 at his residence.
A native of Springfield, he was a son of the late Cecil Herbert and Ida Mae Cheatham Breeding.
He was a farmer and a member of Bethlehem Baptist Church where he formerly served as a deacon and Royal Ambassador Director.
He was a former member of the Mount Eden Fire Department.
Survivors include: his wife, Barbara McAllister Breeding, Mount Eden; four daughters, Teresa Breeding and Cathy Carter, both of Mount Eden, and Belinda Casey, Bagdad; one son, Keith Breeding, Smithfield; three brothers, Homer Breeding, Leitchfield, Elwood Breeding and Eugene Breeding, both of Springfield; three sisters, Waunita McMichael, Springfield, Beulah Coulter, Bardstown, and Effie Simpson, Harrodsburg; 17 grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by two children, Richard and Cecilia Breeding, and two sisters, Ella Frances Breeding and Loraine Tindall.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday, April 7 at Bethlehem Baptist Church in Taylorsville by Rev. Eddie Nation and Rev. Greg Taylor. Burial will be in the Best Cemetery in Anderson County.
Visitation will be from 4 to 9 p.m. Tuesday and 10 a.m. until 9 p.m. Wednesday at the Hall-Taylor Funeral Home in Taylorsville.

ARVEL CORNETT
Arvel Cornett, 67, of Lakeland, FL, died Wednesday, March 30, 2005 at Lakeland Hospital.
Born October 24, 1937, in Crab Orchard, he was the son of the late John D. and Cinda Cornett Cornett.
He was a retired plumber.
Survivors include: his wife, Joyce Wilham Cornett, Lakeland; one daughter, Bobby Jo Cornett Ison, Stanford; one stepdaughter, Debra Ashford, Harrodsburg; one brother, Marvin Cornett, Snowcamp, NC; one sister, Emma Jean Munday, Florida; and five grandchildren.
Services were held Sunday, April 3, at Barnett & Demrow Funeral Home, Waynesburg, by Chester Cornett. Burial was in Double Springs Cemetery.
JOHN DAVIS
John Walter "J. J." Davis, 94, of Perryville, died Mon-day, March 28, 2005 at Harrodsburg Health Care Center.
Born April 24, 1910, in Boyle County, he was the son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Jeff Davis. He was a farmer, a member of Perryville First Baptist Church, and an Army veteran of World War II.
Survivors include his caregivers, Sammy and Mattie Johnson of Perryville.
Funeral services were held Saturday, April 2, at Perryville First Baptist Church by Rev. Willie Newby. Burial was in Springhill Cemetery, Perryville.
Pallbearers were Richard and Charles Young, Cecil and Keith Johnson, Melvin Bottoms and Charlie Burton. Honorary bearers were George Edelen, Larry Foster , Buford Bottoms and Mark Bottoms.
Wilder Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
MABLE DEVINE
Mable Devine, 87, died Tuesday, April 5, 2005 at the James B. Haggin Memorial Hospital.

LUTHER HAFLEY
Luther Martin Hafley, 66, of Lexington, formerly of Boyle County, died Wednesday, March 30, 2005 in Lexington.
Born January 22, 1939, in Boyle County, he was the son of the late Luther and Evelyn Hafley.
Survivors include: one son, Gary Hafley, Harrodsburg; one daughter, Mae Hafley, Perryville; two sisters, Christine Edwards, Perryville and Marie Cook, Kokomo, IN; three grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
Graveside services were held Friday, April 1, in Lexington Cemetery.
Pallbearers were Buron Lanham, Gary Hafley, Russell Godbey and Edward Godbey. Honorary bearers were Lynne Hafley, Rachel Norris, Zachary Bottom, and Richard, Bailey and Shelby Bratcher.
