Christine Royalty, 91, 650 Mooreland Ave., widow of Garnett Elbin Royalty, died Tuesday, Aug. 9, 2005 at the Harrodsburg Health Care Center.
Born Jan. 4, 1914 in Harrodsburg, she was the daughter of the late Thomas and Emily Coleman Morrissey.
She was a retired Cricketeer Manufacturing seamstress, and she was a member of the Harrodsburg Baptist Church.
Survivors include: four sons, William Thomas (Noreta) Royalty, Jerry L. (Susan) Royalty and Terry (Sheryl) Royalty, all of Harrodsburg, and Jack (Betty) Royalty of Lexington; eight grandchildren; four great- grandchildren, and one great-great-grandchild.
She was preceded in death by two brothers, Michael and Tom Haston Morrissey.
The funeral will be Friday, Aug. 12 at 11 a.m. at the Ransdell Funeral Chapel with Robert Defoor officiating. Burial will be in the Spring Hill Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be John, Kevin and Jason Royalty, William Tandy Quisenberry, Bradley Bottoms, Joseph Turner and John David Sanders.
Honorary bearers will be Bruce Roller, Bob Wise, Stephen Bailey, Willie B. Horn, Arvin Short, Donnie Jackson,and Richard Smith.
Visitation Thursday, Aug. 11 after 5 p.m. and Friday after 7:30 a.m. at the funeral chapel.

HOWARD SEAWRIGHT
Howard Edward Seawright, 78, of Walnut Street, Danville, died Monday, August 1, 2005 at Danville Centre for Health and Rehabilitation.
Born Oct. 31, 1926, in Mercer County, he was the son of the late Charles and Sally McKitric Seawright.
He was a retired employee of Cincinnati Milacron Co., a member of St. James AME Church and a graduate of Bate High School.
Survivors include his wife, Anginette Seawright; two daughters, Rhonda S. Robinson, Burlington and Phyllis J. Brown, Cincinnati; one sister, Katherine Withers, Danville; five grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at 7 p.m. Sunday, August 7, at St. James AME Church by the Rev. William Jenkins. Burial will be in Danville Memorial Gardens.
Pallbearers will be Chris Huff, Dalyn Brown, Jairon Robinson, Chris Brown, Matthew Robinson and Lamont Gray.
Visitation will be after 5 p.m. Sunday at the church.

EMMIE TINDALL
Emmie Gaines Tindall, age 73, of Eagle Drive, Lawrenceburg, died Saturday, August 6, 2005 at James B. Haggin Hospital in Harrodsburg.
Bornorn October 2, 1931 in Woodford County, she was the daughter of the late Ona Frances Gaines and Tom Gaines.
She was a retired employee of Bendix in Frankfort and a member of the Fellowship Baptist Church.
She is survived by her husband of 56 years, William Tindall, Jr.; two sons, James William Tindall and his wife Marlene of Lawrenceburg, and John Thomas Tindall of Frankfort; five grandchildren, John William Tindall of Woodford County, Jennifer Renee Fields of Frankfort, William Francis Tindall of Lawrenceburg, Lisa Faye Johnson of Waverly, Ohio, and Margaret Holt of Lawrenceburg; and 10 great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a sister, Olena McCounn and five brothers, Lloyd, Velma, Elza, Emmitt, and William Gaines.
Funeral services were held Tuesday, August 9, 2005 at the Ritchie & Peach Funeral Home with Bro. Carl Jones officiating. Burial was in Sunset Memorial Gardens in Frankfort.
Casket bearers were John William Tindall, Buster Tindall, Lloyd Douglas Gaines, Rodney Edward Gaines, Jimmy Gaines and Ricky Gaines.
Honorary bearers will be Granddaughters.

RAYMOND WADE
Raymond Wade, 84, 1241 Cornishville Rd., husband of Venetta Marksbury Wade, died Saturday, Aug. 6, 2005 at the V.A. Medical Center in Lexington.
Born Feb. 25, 1921 in Mercer County, he was the son of the late Clyde and Vita Hurst Wade.
He was an Army veteran of World War II and received 5 Bronze Stars and one Bronze Arrowhead as a result of the Omaha Beach Landing during the Normandy Invasion. He was a member of the VFW & American Legion, and he was a Kentucky Colonel. He was a graduate of the Government Agriculture School. He was a longtime farmer, he was a member of the Harrodsburg Christian Church where he served as an elder, he was a long-term board member and past president of the Mercer County Farm Bureau, Mercer County Extension Office, and the Southern States Coop. Also, he was a past delegate of the Burley Tobacco Coop.
In addition to his wife, survivors include: three sons, Dennis (Mary June) Wade, David (Norma) Wade and Kenny (Cari Perkins) Wade, all of Mercer County; seven grandchildren, and three great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by one daughter, Brenda Jo Wade.
The funeral was held Tuesday, Aug. 9 at the Ransdell Funeral Chapel with Don Chase and John David Lane officiating. Burial was in the Spring Hill Cemetery.
Pallbearers were Darion Lewis and grandchildren Chad, Julie, Timothy, Bruce and Mark Wade, Amanda Lewis and Angelia Swabey.

Joyce R. Yates, 70, Moore's Lane, widow of Bennie Lee Yates, died Sunday, Aug. 7, 2005 at her residence.
Born Jan. 3, 1935 in Mercer County, she was a daughter of the late Guy and Gertrude Bryant Royalty. She was a retired inspector from the Mercer Dress Corporation, and she was a charter member of the Southside Christian Church.
Survivors include: one daughter, Ann Robin (Bobby) Riley of Mercer County; one son, Gary M. (Heidi) Yates of Harrodsburg; two sisters, Juanita Cannon of Danville and Jane Kimsey of Louisville; two brothers, Donald Royalty of Lexington, IN and Danny Royalty of Hanover, IN, and four grandchildren.
The funeral was conducted Wednesday, Aug. 10 at the Ransdell Funeral Chapel with Bob Nelson and Gary Powell officiating. Burial was in the Spring Hill Cemetery. Pallbearers were Bill and Jackie Royalty, Paul Machel, Ronnie Sims, Gary Noel and Tom Moore. Honorary pallbearers were Amanda and Michael Yates and Leah and Matthew Riley.

EVERETT BRYANT
Everett Harrison Bryant, 90, of Apache Trail in Danville, died Saturday August 13, 2005 at Ephraim McDowell Regional Medical Center.
Born April 20, 1915, in McCreary County, he was the son of the late Elisha Cornelius and Sally J. Perry Bryant.
He was a retired brakeman for Southern Railway Company and a member of United Trainmen's Union. He was a member of First Baptist Church.
Survivors include: his wife, Glenna Ridner Bryant, Danville; three daughters, Phyllis Doolittle, Cincinnati, OH, Brenda Evans, Orlando, FL and Janice Foster , Harrodsburg; two sons, Donn Bryant, Lexington and Darrell Bryant, Danville; one brother, Walter Bryant, Brentwood, TN; 12 grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren.
Services will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, August 16, at Stith Funeral Home. Burial will be in Bellevue Cemetery.
Visitation will be after 5 p.m. Monday.
LUCILLE DEAN
Lucille Coulter Dean, 81, formerly of Perryville Street, widow of J. B. Dean, died Tuesday, Aug. 9, 2005 at the Ephraim McDowell Regional Medical Center in Danville.
Born Sept. 21, 1923 in Washington County, she was a daughter of the late T. R. and Flossie Hardin Coulter.
She was a member of Temple Baptist Church in Springfield and enjoyed cooking, traveling, canning and working in her garden.
Survivors include: one daughter, Sue Young of Danville; one brother, Doris Coulter of Thompsonville; one sister, Wilnah Dile of Pierceton, IN; one grandchild, Bartley McQueary; three great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by one daughter, Ina Neal Dean; three brothers, Arvel Coulter, J. R. Coulter and Carl Coulter; four sisters, Mattie Bell Settles, Ruby Willis, Effie Goode and Edith Gowins, and one grandson, Barry McQueary.
The funeral was Friday, Aug. 12 at the Alexander and Royalty Funeral Home with Rev. David Simpson officiating. Burial was in the Evergreen Cemetery in Willisburg.

RUBY DEAN
Ruby Rose Dean, 83, 725 Cole Ln., wife of Lois “Baldy” Dean, died Sunday, Aug. 14, 2005 at The James B. Haggin Memorial Hospital.
Born March 1, 1922 in Boyle County, she was a daughter of the late Sam and Eddie Vermillion Baker.
She was a supervisor at Cricketeer Manufacturing Company, and she was a member of the Harrodsburg United Methodist Church.
In addition to her husband, survivors include: one daughter, Ann Robinson of Danville; one son, Terry (Deanna) Campbell of Salvisa; one sister, Jean Holman of Mitchellsburg; seven grandchildren, and six great- grandchildren.
The funeral was held Tuesday, Aug. 16 at Ransdell Funeral Chapel with John David Lane officiating. Burial was in the Spring Hill Cemetery.
Pallbearers were Gordon Woodward, Larry Purvis, Bentley Lane, Jim Roney, Kenny Dean and I. C. Phillips.

GAETANO GERACI
Gaetano “Tom” Geraci, 81, 731 E. Lexington St., husband of Alfia Christina Occhiuto Geraci, died Saturday, Aug. 13, 2005 at Ephraim McDowell Regional Medical Center in Danville.
Born Jan. 26, 1924 in Sicily, he was the son of the late Santo and Orsola Isgro Geraci.
He was a retired quality control manager at Cricketeer Manufacturing Company, and he was a member of the St. Andrew Catholic Church.
In addition to his wife, survivors include: one daughter, Ursola (Jack) Rose of Lexington; three sons, Sandy (Maria) Geraci of Cleveland, OH, Carmen (Julie) Geraci of Lexington and Joseph (Jenny) Geraci of Louisville; two sisters, Anna Colosi of New York and Nicholina Bruccoleri of New Jersey; and five grandchildren.
A Mass of Christian Burial was held Tuesday, Aug. 16 at St. Andrew Catholic Church with Fr. Joseph Muench officiating. Entombment was in the Bluegrass Memorial Gardens in Jessamine County.
Pallbearers were Sandy, Joseph, Tommy, Jimmy and Carmen Geraci, Jack Rose and Dominick Bruccoleri.
Arrangements were handled by Ransdell Funeral Chapel.
TED HALEY
Ted Davis Haley, 84, of Danville died Saturday, August 13, 2005 at Ephraim McDowell Regional Medical Center.
Born April 23, 1921 in Sturgis, KY, he was a member of St. Philips Episcopal Church, 1943 graduate of Murray State University, and a 1949 graduate of University of Kentucky where he was a member of Sigma Nu Fraternity.
He was a U.S. Marine Captain in World War II and served in the Battle of Okinawa and was also an original member of the Advocate Brass Band.
Survivors include: his wife Betty Ann Haley, Danville; two daughters Allison Lee Haley, Madisonville, and Beth Perros, Danville; three sons Bruce Haley, Madisonville, Mark Pritchett, Tallahassee, FL and Charles Pritchett, Louisville; one sister Hilda H. Sharp, Lafollette, TN, and seven grandchildren.
Services will be held at 11 am Wednesday, August 17, at St. Philips Episcopal Church in Harrodsburg with burial in Camp Nelson National Cemetery in Jessamine County.
Visitation will be 5-8 pm Tues., at Stith Funeral Home, Danville.
JOHN KIDWELL
John Clifton "Jack" Kidwell, 76, of Mackville, died Friday August 12, 2005.
Survived by two sisters, Mary Mayes and Mayola Shewmaker and a brother, Donald Kidwell.
Services will be held at 2 p.m. Monday at the Mackville Baptist Church.
Visitation will be from 5-8 pm Sunday at Carey & Son Funeral Home and after 9 Monday at the church.
ELIZA MONROE
Eliza V. McGaughey Monroe, 92, of North Main Street, Lawrenceburg, died Sunday, August 14, 2005 at Heritage Hall Nursing Home in Lawrenceburg.
Born April 29, 1913 in Anderson County, she was the daughter of the late Annie Armstrong and Edward McGaughey. She was the widow of Albert Zachary Monroe and was raised by the late Jesse and Lettie Peach.
She was a clerk for the former Cartinhour Grocery in Lawrenceburg for 31 years, and a former employee of Ripy Brothers Distillery in Lawrenceburg. She was a member of the Lawrenceburg First Baptist Church.
Survivors include: one daughter, Patsy Monroe Sims, Lawrenceburg; one son, Bobby E. (Nancy) Monroe, Lawrenceburg; a son-in-law, Marshall William Searcy, Lawrenceburg; nine grandchildren, Bill (Myra) Searcy and Ray (Judith) Searcy, Versailles, Jane Searcy (Larry) Jackson, Frankfort, Patricia Ann (Earl Lee) Chilton, Mercer County, Thomas “Buddy” (Sharon) Sims, Jr. and Fay (Lynn) Royalty, Jana Gail (Mark) Beasley and Brent (Cathy) Monroe, all of Lawrenceburg, and Chris Monroe, Frankfort; and 11 great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a daughter, Jessie Mae Searcy, and several brothers and sisters.

FRANCES RUE
Frances True Brown Rue, Lexington, widow of Edwin W. “Skip” Rue, died Tuesday, Aug. 9, 2005 at her home.
Born May 23, 1913 in Washington County, she was a daughter of the late J. E. and Gertrude Brown.
She attended the University of Kentucky where she was a member of Alpha Gamma Sorority. She was a homemaker, and her interests included local politics, reading, and baking.
Survivors include: two daughters, Linda Rue and Joan Rue; two granddaughters, Sara Rue and Leah Rue, and one sister, Gertrude Brown Reed of Harrodsburg.
A graveside service was held Saturday, Aug. 13 at Spring Hill Cemetery with Rev. Christopher Platt officiating.
Arrangements were handled by Kerr Brothers Funeral Home, Harrodsburg Road, Lexington.

Tennessee SEXTON
Tennessee Steve Alan Sexton, 47, 607 Pleasant Hill Dr., husband of Deborah Deshon Sexton of Port Orange, FL, died Wednesday, Aug. 10, 2005 in a motorcycle accident near Burgin.
Born April 12, 1958 in Whitney, England, he was the son of Jennie Melville Goad of Oneida, TN and the late Eamer Sexton.
He was a former Corning Glass employee and had served in the U.S. Army. He was a member of the Paint Rock Baptist Church.
In addition to his wife, survivors include: one sister, Debbie O'Neal, and three brothers, Eddie Sexton, John Sexton and Joe Sexton, one half-sister, Hope Goodman, and two half-brothers, Jamie Sexton and Jason Sexton, all of Tennessee.
A memorial service was held Monday, Aug. 15 at Ransdell Funeral Chapel.

Local Man Dies In Motorcycle Wreck
Tennessee Steve Alan Sexton, 47, of 607 Pleasant Hill Drive, Burgin, was fatally injured in a motorcycle accident on KY 152 between Harrodsburg and Burgin at 10:39 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 10.
Sexton was traveling east on a 2003 Honda VTX 1800 when he apparently lost control of his motorcycle and went off the south side of the roadway into a grassy area, according to a report filed by Kentucky State Police Trooper Mark Young.
Sexton, who was not wearing a helmet, suffered multiple injuries. He was pronounced dead at the scene by Mercer County Deputy Coroner Chuck Bugg.
The accident remains under investigation by state police.
Sexton, a native of Whitney, England, was the son of Jennie Melville goad of Oneida, TN and the late Eamer Sexton. He was a former employee of Corning glass and was a U. S. Army veteran and member of Paint Rock Baptist Church.
In addition to his mother, he is survived by his wife, Deborah Deshon Sexton, and other relatives.
