Born March 16, 1940, in Madison County, she was a daughter of the late Carl and Mary Alice Pruitt Daily. She was the widow of Ralph Crews.
She was a homemaker and a member of North Rolling Fork Baptist Church.
Survivors include: two daughters, Karen Gribbons, Perryville and Mary Daws, Parksville; two sons, Steve Crews, Gravel Switch, and Jimmy Crews, Lebanon; two brothers, Carl Daily Jr., Harrodsburg and Jay Daily, Dakota City, NE; two sisters, Emma Barlow, Dayton, OH, and Ann Lamache, FL; 10 grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
Services were held Saturday, August 19, at Wilder Funeral Home, Perryville, by Rev. Terry Orcutt and Nelson Reynolds. Burial was in Hillcrest Cemetery.
Pallbearers were Marc and Jay Claunch, Jason Carrico, Greg Wilkerson, Doug Darland and Carol Cox.

Cecilia Jane Jones, 56, 405 Barrister Ct., Lexington, died Wednesday, Aug. 17, 2005 at her residence.
Born June 28, 1949 in Frankfort, she was the daughter of the late Campbell and Frances Catlett Yocum.
She was a retail sales clerk.
Survivors include: one sister, Alice “Pixie” (Harold) Burks of Harrodsburg; one uncle, Claude Barton of Columbus, MO, and two nieces, Lesley and Whitney Hill.
A memorial service was held Monday, Aug. 22 at Spring Hill Cemetery with Mike Hanby officiating.

GLADYS LESCOE
Gladys Mae Darland Lescoe, 81, Heber Springs, AR, wife of Edward Lescoe, died Wednesday, Aug. 10, 2005 at White County Medical Center in Searcy, AR.
Born Dec. 10, 1923 in Mercer County, she was a daughter of the late Grover and Florence Gabhart Darland.
She was a graduate of Cornishville High School, and she was a former member of Calvary Baptist Church. She served as a Girl Scout leader, she was a member of the P.T.A., and she was a member of First Baptist Church in Heber Springs. She enjoyed cooking and crocheting.
In addition to her husband, survivors include: three sons, Robert (Patricia) Lescoe and Paul (Michelle) Lescoe, both of Michigan, and Kenneth Lescoe of South Carolina; two daughters, Carol (Robert) Brown of Heber Springs and Virginia (Tim) Williams of Texas; one brother, J.D. (Dolores) Darland, and two sisters, Nancy (Maurice) Long and Mary Lou Darland, all of Lexington; 11 grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by one sister, Lorene Bastin.
A graveside service will be held Saturday, Aug. 27 at 11 a.m. at Spring Hill Cemetery.
A memorial service was held in Heber Springs.
FELIX REEVES SR.
Felix Ramsey Reeves Sr., Lexington, husband of Edna C. Logdon Reeves, died Saturday, August 20, 2005 at his residence.
Born in Lexington, he was a son of the late Henry and Frankie Reeves.
He was retired from Ashland Oil Company, a member of Devondale Baptist Church, the Daughters of America #27, and was a Kentucky Colonel.
Survivors, other than his wife, are: two daughters, Joanne (Rolland) Newman, Midway, and Janis Aubrey, Burgin; three sons, Felix Jr. (Doris) Reeves, Cynthiana, William Lee Reeves, Harrodsburg, and David Rix (Wanda) Reeves, Burgin; 13 grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and a sister, Ioma Smith, Shepherdsville.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, August 24, at Kerr Brothers Funeral Home, Main Street, Lexington, with Harry Edward Rose and Steven Rose officiating and Kelly Rose as soloist. Burial will be in Blue Grass Memorial Gardens.
Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday. Contributions are suggested to Heritage Hospice of Boyle County, 337 W. Broadway Street, Danville, KY 40423.
ADA RICE
Ada M. Rice, 67, Bohon Road, wife of David J. Rice, died Sunday, Aug. 21, 2005 at her home.
Born July 10, 1938 in Woodford County, she was a daughter of the late Justus and Evelyn Cox McKinney.
She was a retired melting operator for Corning Glass.
In addition to her husband, survivors include: three daughters, Rebecca (Jeff) Oliver of Richmond and Jamie L. Rice and Rubena (Mitchell) Searcy, both of Harrodsburg; three sons, David (Nina) Rice Jr. of Versailles and Patrick (Sue Ann) Rice and Justus H. Rice, also of Harrodsburg; one brother, Justus Goble McKinney; 27 grandchildren, and four great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by one daughter, Marquetta Hale; one sister, Shirley Smith, and one brother, Scotty McKinney.
The funeral was held Wednesday, Aug. 24 at the Blackburn and Ward Funeral Home in Versailles with Rev. Russell Jones officiating. Burial was at the Rose Crest Cemetery.
Pallbearers were Rusty, Blue and Anthony Rice, Jonathan Douglas, William Riley, Gary Cox, Mitchell Searcy and Joseph Sanders.
ELMO ALLENDER
Elmo Raymond Allender, 89, of Lawrenceburg, died Friday, August 26, 2005 at the V.A. Medical Center in Lexington.
Born July 24, 1916 in Pendleton County, he was the son of the late Goldie Young and Alonzo Allender.
He was the owner and manager of a reproduction furniture store called the Furniture Clinic in Lexington for 22 years, a farmer, and served in the US Army during WW II.
He was a member and former Sunday school teacher at Sand Spring Baptist Church. He was also an honorary member of the Stringtown Ruritan Club and held a small plane pilots license.
He was a former member of the Grace Baptist Church in Lexington for over 20 years and the Nicholasville Baptist Church. He helped start the Edgewood Baptist Church in Nicholasville and help start and build the Salvisa Baptist Church in Mercer County.
Survivors include: his wife of 45 years, Sylvia Tandy Allender; five children, Ethelbert (Eloise) Allender, San Diego, CA; Wanda (Jack) Sabo, Lexington; Wayne W. Allender, Harrodsburg; Emma (Don) Caruthers, Burnside; Addrene "Babe" Hendricks (Don) Lane, Lawrenceburg; 18 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; 23 great great-grandchildren; and one sister, Beatrice Cull, Bardstown.
He was preceded in death by a granddaughter, Daffney Allender; two brothers, Wilbert Allender and Wayne Wesley Allender; and a nephew, William Allender.
Services will be held at 1 p.m., Tuesday, August 30, at the Ritchie & Peach Funeral Home in Lawrenceburg with Dr. Mike Hamrick, Bro. Rick Shannon, and Bro. Troy Shelton officiating. Burial will follow in Bluegrass Memorial Gardens in Jessamine County with military honors.
Visitation will be from 4 -8 pm Monday.

ROGER BARNARD
Roger D. Barnard, 55, Harrodsburg, died Wednesday, Aug. 31, 2005 in Danville.
He was the son of Ruth Carmickle Pinkston of Harrodsburg and the late Norman Pinkston.
He was a Navy Veteran, he was a member of the Pioneer Baptist Church, and he was a former IBM and Ashland Oil employee.
Survivors include: two daughters, Natalie Huff of Asheville, NC and Amanda Barnard of Tampa FL, and one grandchild, Gavin Barber, also of Tampa.
Graveside services will be today, Thursday, at 10 a.m. at the Spring Hill Cemetery.
Arrangements are being handled by Ransdell Funeral Chapel.
KENNETH BEASLEY
Kenneth Henry “Kenny” Beasley, 51, Salvisa, husband of Rhonda Kay Orwig Beasley, died Tuesday, Aug. 30, 2005 at his residence.
Born Nov. 24, 1953 in Mercer County, he was a son of Sarah Roberts Beasley and the late Robert Ernest Beasley.
He was a supervisor at Hitachi, he was a member of the Claylick United Methodist Church, and he was also a member of the Rebel Corvette Club of the Bluegrass.
In addition to his wife, survivors include: two sons, Chad Everett (Brandy) Beasley and Damon Lewis Beasley, two sisters, Rella (Donald) Pennington and Retha Durham, and two brothers, Roy Everett Beasley and Ray Beasley, all of Mercer County.
The funeral will be Friday, Sept. 2 at 11 a.m. at the Clay Lick United Methodist Church with Pete Gilliam and Joe White officiating. Burial will be in Spring Hill Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Randy Orwig, Kenny Carey, Terry Martin, Herb Nakajima, John Shewmaker, George Cocanougher, Jerry Lee Winchester and Lee Readnower.

WALTER CAMPBELL
Walter Edward “Walt” Campbell, 70, Butler, KY, husband of Helen Yoakum Campbell, died Thursday, Aug. 25, 2005 at Veterans Hospital in Cincinnati, OH.
Born Sept. 11, 1934 in Perry County, he was a son of the late Edward and Maude Begley Campbell.
He had worked as a garbage truck driver, school bus driver, and as a construction worker and was a retired employee of Licking Valley Oil Company for which he delivered fuel oil for many years. He had been a volunteer for the Butler Fire Department and had coached youth baseball and softball teams. He served in the U.S. Army from 1957 until 1959. He was a member of Butler Baptist Church, and he was an active member of the Pendleton County Sportsman’s Club. He enjoyed fishing, hunting and spending time with his family.
In addition to his wife, survivors include: one son, Paul (Ellen) Campbell of Harrodsburg; one daughter, Donna Campbell of Butler; two brothers, George W. Campbell of Butler and Fred Campbell of Taylorsville; two sisters, Elizabeth Fugate of Hazard and Sue Story of Hamilton, OH; four grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by one brother, John Campbell, and one sister, Linda Maggard.
The funeral was held under full military honors Monday, Aug. 29 at People’s Funeral Home in Butler with Rev. Darryl Mullins officiating. Burial was in Flour Creek Cemetery in Butler.
Pallbearers were Ned Campbell, Daryl Crail, Jerry Miller, Joe Workman, Bill Ashcraft and Jim Maxwell.
Honorary pallbearers were Larry Rose, Bob Norton, Jim Hoskins, Junior Harrison and Ken Carter.
DOROTHY CINNAMON
Dorothy Sue “Susie” Cinnamon, 76, 393 McCouns Ferry Rd., Salvisa, died Friday, Aug. 26, 2005 at Saint Joseph Hospital in Lexington.
Born Feb. 3, 1929 in Clark County, she was a daughter of the late Thomas Hartsock and Sally Carrie Lunsford Hazelwood, and she was the widow of Kenneth A. Cinnamon.
She was a cashier at Family Affair Restaurant, and she was a member of Salvisa Baptist Church.
Survivors include: three daughters, Susan Kay (Ronnie) Robertson and Kathy (Gordon) Scott, both of Salvisa, and Kim (Eric) Yeast of Harrodsburg; one son, Wayne Cinnamon of Salvisa; two sisters, Donna Gash and Linda Lou Sheperson, both of Harrodsburg; two brothers, Carl Hazelwood of Salvisa and Howard Hazelwood of Frankfort; eight grandchildren; two great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by two brothers, Tommy and Kenny Hazelwood.
The funeral was held Tuesday, Aug. 30 at Salvisa Baptist Church with Jason Clark officiating. Burial was in the Kirkwood Cemetery in Salvisa.
Pallbearers were Fred Alexander, Joe Don Denny, John Alvin Goodlett, Tommy Egbert, Gene Cinnamon, Walter Warford, Gerald Sheperson, Carroll Sanford and Charlie Reeves.

Rev. Ora Davis, 91, 1000 Coleman Ct., husband of Helena Bennett Davis, died Friday, Aug. 26, 2005 at his residence.
Born Feb. 12, 1914 in Stanford, he was a son of the late Jeremiah and Martha Harding Davis.
He was a retired minister who was the founder of Eastland Church of God and the Clays Mill Church of God in Lexington. He also was the former owner of Ora Davis Plumbing and Heating in Lexington.
In addition to his wife, survivors include: one son, Ora Darryl Davis of Panama City, FL; one daughter, Marcia Lynn Welch of Kissimmee, FL; one stepson, Robert Lee Wilson Jr. of Crab Orchard; one stepdaughter, Carla Wilson of Hopkinsville; two brothers, Ira Davis of Lexington and Bob Davis of Berea; two sisters, Becky Stinnett and Minnie Davis, both of Lexington; several grandchildren, great grandchildren, and great-great grandchildren; one step-granddaughter, and one step-grandson.
He was preceded in death by his first wife, Madeline Davis; one son, Jerry Wayne Davis; one grandson, Jeffrey, and one great-grandson, Tanner.
The funeral was held Monday, Aug. 29 at Kerr Brothers Funeral Home, Harrodsburg Rd., Lexington with Rev. John R. Johnson officiating. Burial was in Evergreen Memory Gardens in Scott County.
MARY GILPIN
Mary Elizabeth Gilpin, 84, Lexington, widow of William “Bill” Thomas Gilpin, died Tuesday, Aug. 23, 2005.
Born Feb. 9, 1921 in Mercer County, she was a daughter of the late Charlie and Bessie Baldwin Kurtz.
She was a homemaker, and she was a member of the Eastern Star and a member of My Old Kentucky Home Chapter #436. She was a former member of Mill Creek Baptist Church.
Survivors include: one daughter, Billie Hewitt of Lexington; four sons, James “Jimmy” B. Gilpin and Glenn H. Gilpin, both of Bardstown, and Leroy Gilpin and Ollie Gilpin, both of New Mexico; one sister, Frances Shipman of Mesa, AZ; two brothers, Charles Kurtz of Bardstown and John Kurtz of Louisville; 12 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren, and two great-great-grandchildren.
The funeral was held Saturday, Aug. 27 at New Salem Baptist Church with Fidel Hughes officiating. Burial was in New Salem Church Cemetery.

Talt Junior Matthews, 50, Harrodsburg, died Monday, Aug. 29, 2005 at the University of Kentucky Medical Center in Lexington.
Born April 13, 1955 in Garrard County, he was a son of Ben and Mary Matthews Medley of Harrodsburg.
He was a graduate of Harrodsburg High School, and he was a former employee of Stone Manor Restaurant and of Shelby’s Heating and Air Conditioning. He collected model cars and fire trucks, and he was an artist.
Survivors include: four daughters, Jeannie (Aaron) Bruner, Pennie Votaw, Mindy Matthews and Cindy Matthews, all of Harrodsburg; one brother, Eddie Matthews of Liberty; one sister, Shelia (Walter) Bryant of Harrodsburg; seven grandchildren; and numerous other relatives.
The funeral will be Friday, Sept. 2 at 2 p.m. at Alexander and Royalty Funeral Home with Bryce McCulley officiating. Burial will be in Spring Hill Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Eddie Matthews, Billy Votaw, Hubert “Pudden” Peavler, Kenny and Arnett Griffin and John Boy Phillips.

Alice Meadows, 57, 576 Wyatt Rd, London, wife of Kenneth Bradley Meadows, died Saturday, Aug. 27, 2005 at Mary Mount Medical Center in London.
Born Feb. 10, 1948 in Pineville, she was a daughter of Elsie Hoskins Mills and the late Robert Mills.
She was a retired apartment manager.
In addition to her husband, survivors include: three daughters, Emma Jean Bates of Danville, Jackie Griffith of Indiana and Tammy Ray Gross of Pineville; three sisters, Barbara Crawford of London, Patricia Aguado of Montana and Priscilla Howell of Columbia, SC; three brothers, Charles Mills of Belton, SC, Denver Mills of Harrodsburg and Robert Mills Jr. of Corbin; maternal grandmother, Fannie Sizemore of Pineville, and seven grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by one daughter, Donna Kaye Jenkins; one brother, Leroy Mills, and one grandchild.

WILLIAM ROBINSON
William Record “Rec” Robinson, 77, Ballard Road, Lawrenceburg, died Monday, Aug. 29, 2005 at his home of an apparent heart attack.
Born Feb. 27, 1928 in Anderson County, he was a son of the late Major L. and Tavie Cammack Robinson.
He was a retired employee of the State Department of Transportation, and he was a farmer. He was a member of the Ballard Baptist Church, and he was a member of Emulation Lodge #688 in Sharpsville.
Survivors include: two daughters, Pam (David) Smalley and Donna (Bobby) Rodgers, both of Lawrenceburg; two sons, Bill (Anna) Robinson of Harrodsburg and Mark (Dana) Robinson of Versailles; and their mother, Norma Bowen Royalty of Lawrenceburg; four grandchildren, and special friend, Joyce Carlton, of Lawrenceburg.
He was preceded in death by one brother, Davis Robinson.
The funeral will be today, Thursday, Sept. 1 at 2 p.m. at Gash Memorial Chapel in Lawrenceburg with Bro. James Harley officiating. Burial will be in Lawrenceburg Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Ricky and Floyd B. Stratton, Jimmy Curtsinger, Jimmy Young, Johnny Ellis, and Willis Hays.
