Rev. William Pearson, 67, of Old Louisville Rd., Salvisa, died Monday, June 19, 2000 at Central Baptist Hospital in Lexington.
He was a native of Shelby County, son of the late Van and Mary Howell Pearson, a retired minister of the Brooksville United Methodist Church, a member of the Kentucky Conference and served as pastor of many churches in Kentucky.
He was a 1951 graduate of Waddy High School, attended Kentucky State University and served in the U. S. Army.
Survivors include: his wife, Frances Chilton Pearson; one son, Rev. Musial (Joyce) Pearson, Leitchfield; two daughters, Reva Pearson, Ft. Thomas, and Mary (Ric) Estes, Somerset; one brother James Pearson, Louisville; three grandchildren and one great grandchild. He was preceded in death by two sisters, Evelyn Hedges and Minnie Pearl Jamison; five brothers, Van Jr., David, Bob, Gilbert, and Raymond Pearson.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday, June 23, at the Claylick United Methodist Church with Rev. Ray Throckmorton officiating. Burial will be in the Hebron Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Kent Cox, Kelly Cox, Ronald Bottom, Donald Bottom, Micah Pearson and Ric Estes. Honorary bearers will be ministers of the Kentucky Conference.
Visitation will be from 5:00 to 9:00, Thursday, June 22, and after 9:00 a.m. Friday, at the Claylick United Methodist.

BESSIE SIRES
Bessie Mae Sires, 69, of 523 Cogar Avenue, died Tuesday, June 13, 2000 at the University of Kentucky Medical Center in Lexington.
Born July 18, 1930 in Harrodsburg, she was the daughter of the late Bill Lee and Nancy Tatum Warren Lunsford.
She had worked for Taylor Tot Factory in Frankfort and was a member of the Fellowship Baptist Church.
Survivors include: her husband, Sherman Sires, Harrodsburg; two sons, Sidney Yocum, Harrodsburg and Charles J. Yocum, Macy, IN; three daughters, Nancy Yocum and Betsy Logue, both of Harrodsburg, and Judy Rogers, Lawrenceburg; three sisters, Lucy Klingsmith, Jeffersonville, IN, Maxie Lyons, and Nancy Rowe, both of Harrodsburg; three brothers, David Lunsford and Taylor Lunsford, both of Harrodsburg, and Marion Lunsford, Richmond; 14 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a sister, Mary Wilhoite.
Funeral services were held Friday, June 16, at the Ransdell Funeral Chapel with James Harley officiating. Burial was in the Ebenezer Cemetery.
Pallbearers were grandchildren: Tammy Dean, Vicky Warner, Keith Peach, Christy Hicks, Bo and Travis Logue, Cindy Gayle Simms, Andrea and Jason Yocum, Lonnie Cornish Jr., Lisa and Dena Cornish and John and Cain Rogers.. Honorary bearers were great grandchildren: Jennifer, Jeremy and Dustin Hicks, Barry Slaven, Sarah Todd, Devon, Kayla and Ashley Peach, Ashton and Addison Logue, and Matthew and Russell Simms.
EVERETT MAYES
Everett Mayes, 92, of 4465 Mackville Road, died Thursday, June 16, 2000 at his residence.
Born October 7, 1907 in Mercer County, he was the son of the late Arthur and Mary Sallee Mayes.
He was a retired farmer and a member of the Mackville Methodist Church.
Survivors include: his wife, Nettie Mayes, Harrodsburg; two sons, Carlton Mayes and David Mayes, both of Mackville; seven grandchildren and six great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by: two sons, Marvin and Donald Mayes; three brothers, Roy, Loyd and Ray Mayes.
Funeral services were held Sunday, June 18, at the Ransdell Funeral Chapel with John Hockersmith III officiating. Burial was in Spring Hill Cemetery.
Grandchildren served as pallbearers.
DAVIS CORNISH
Davis Clay Cornish, 61, of Sunset Drive, Lawrenceburg, died Sunday, June 11, 2000 at St. Joseph Hospital in Lexington.
He was a native of Nelson County, son of the late Henry Clay and Margie Peavler Cornish.
He was a route man and salesman for Kentucky Overall Service in Lawrenceburg for 33 years, a member of the Teamsters Union Local #651, an avid fisherman and loved gospel music.
He served in the U. S. Army during the Cuban Missile Crisis.
Survivors include: his wife, Lois Hall Cornish, Lawrenceburg; one son, Scott Cornish, Georgetown; two sisters, Mrs. Jim (Louise) Thompson, Harrodsburg, and Mary Lee Holbert, Lawrenceburg; four brothers, Marcus (Brenda) Cornish, of Marion, Jimmy Cornish, Earl B. (Lisa) Cornish, and Steve (Darlene) Cornish, all of Lawrenceburg; one grandson. He was preceded in death by a nephew, Marcus Brent Cornish.
Funeral services were held Wednesday, June 14, at the Gash Memorial Chapel with Bro. Terry Cornish officiating. Burial was in the Lawrenceburg Cemetery.
Pallbearers were Tom Jones, Tom Moore, Richard Miles, Maurice Goodlett, Billy Ray Thompson and Thomas E. Shelton.
LEN BAKER
Len C. Baker, 84, formerly of Rogers Court, died Thursday, June 15, 2000 at the Harrodsburg Health Care Center.
He was born May 25, 1916 in Washington County.
He was a driver and detail person and was in the US Army during World War II and had served as a military policeman.
He was a member of the Battle Church of Christ.
Survivors include: two sons, Larry Baker, of MO, and Bernice Baker, Harrodsburg; two daughters, Mrs. Louie (Vicki) Johnson, Danville and Mrs. Jody (Debby) Simpson, Harrodsburg; 10 grandchildren and five great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a son, Bruce Lynn Baker and one great grandson.
Funeral services were held Sunday, June 18, at the Alexander and Royalty Funeral Home with Bro. James Harley officiating. Burial was in Spring Hill Cemetery.
Pallbearers were grandsons, Larry Scott Baker, Travis Dean Baker, James Lynn Johnson, Stephen Patrick Johnson, Michael Anthony Simpson, Joshua Lynn Simpson and Kasey Brandon Johnson.
ADA LANHAM
Ada N. Lanham, 84, of Harrodsburg Health Care Center, died Sunday, June 18, 2000 at the Health Care Center.
Born August 6, 1915 in Marion, she was the daughter of the late Andrew Peyton and Harriett Elizabeth Kanady Eskew and was the widow of George William Lanham.
She had worked as a proof operator for the Bank of Indiana and was a member of the Baptist church.
Survivors include: two daughters, Dorothy Stalion-Bowman, Mercer County, Shirley Crawford, Duncanville, TX; three sons, Charles William Lanham, Oak Brook, IL, Robert Nunn Lanham, Sevierville, TN; Anthony Clay Lanham, LaPorte, IN; one brother, Earl Peyton Eskew, Marion, KY; 10 grandchildren, nine great grandchildren and one great great grandchild. She was preceded in death by a brother, Grover Lanham.
Funeral services were Wednesday, June 21, at the Ransdell Funeral Chapel with David Hartman officiating. Committal was in the Mapleview Cemetery, Marion.
MARGARET THOMPSON
Margaret "Vivian" Thompson, 86, of 608 Elizabeth Court, died Sunday, June 18, 2000 at her residence.
Born August 30, 1913 in Washington County, she was the daughter of the late Molan and Annie Sims Derr. She was the widow of Ralph C. Thompson.
She was a homemaker, a member of Bethel Baptist church, WMU and the Bethel Sunshiners.
Survivors include: three sons, Bobby (Coleen) Thompson, Adrian (Sandra) Thompson, and Rodney (Mary Alice) Thompson, all of Harrodsburg; five daughters, Lillian (Harold) Gritton, Jean (J. D.) Dean, Betty (Jerry) Foster , Brenda (Bobby) Grider, and Pat (Gary) Keller, all of Harrodsburg; two sisters, Nellie Harlow, Harrodsburg, Juanita Burns, Washington County; 16 grandchildren, 19 great grandchildren, one great great grandchild, and one step grandchild.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Thursday, June 22, at the Bethel Baptist Church, with Rev. Jack Guerin officiating. Burial will be in the Willisburg Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Gary Riley, Bobby Riley, Mike Dean, James Dean, David Thompson, Troy Grider, Eric Keller and Paul Adrian Thompson. Honorary bearers will be Michele Barnett, Paula Tatum, Amy Shewmaker, Teresa Hicks, Nichole Walton, Tonya Burchett, Shelley Thompson and Stacy Thompson.
Visitation will be after 3:00 p.m. Wednesday at the Ransdell Funeral Chapel.
MARY DAVIS
Mary Murphy Davis, 86, of 711 Fairview court, died Monday, June 19, 2000 at the Harrodsburg Health Care Center.
Born May 7, 1914 in Mercer County, she was the daughter of the late Demetrius and Maggie Carey Collier. She was the widow of Hugh Murphy and Herbert Lee Davis.
She was a homemaker and a member of Bruner's Chapel Baptist Church.
Survivors include: one step son, Charles Davis, Plano, TX; one daughter, Margaret Murphy Adkinson, Harrodsburg; one step daughter, Barbara Davis Kincaid, Lexington; one sister, Vallie Egbert, Salvisa; six grandchildren and several great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her son, Donald Murphy; three brothers, Earl, Everett and Morris Collier; one sister, Leona Smith.
Funeral services were Wednesday, June 21, at the Alexander and Royalty Funeral Home with Bro. Don Reed and Bro. Larry Redding officiating. Burial was in Spring Hill Cemetery.
Pallbearers were Terry Murphy, Donald Murphy, Connie Shifflett, Johnny Collier and Ricky Burns.
CHARLES HENDERSON
Charles Henry Henderson, 77, of 571 Arden Avenue, died Thursday, June 22, at the James B. Haggin Memorial Hospital.
Born January 13, 1923 in Gordonsville, KY, he was the son of the late James Dillard and Mary Lee Henderson.
He was a retired General Motors employee, after 30 years, and a member of the United Auto Workers Union.
He was a member of the Gordonsville Baptist Church in Logan County.
Survivors include: his wife, Bessie VanDyke Henderson, Harrodsburg; two step sons, Phillip VanDyke, Sr., and Michael VanDyke, both of Harrodsburg; one daughter, Mary Louise Henderson Terrell, Louisville; one sister, Geneva Pope, Lexington; several grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Funeral services were conducted Saturday, June 24, at St. Peter AME Church with Rev. Warren Dolphus officiating. Burial was in Maple Grove Cemetery.
Pallbearers were Fred Bottoms, James Bryant Jr., James Terrell, Robert Terrell, Michael VanDyke and Phillip VanDyke, Sr.
